Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018 was just unveiled in Macau
and the Michelin Guide recently awarded their latest Stars and their Bib Gourmand selections in Thailand and Taiwan.
Listed once again in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, and this year amongst the Top 25, are some of the talented chefs who form the community that is Secret Tables and pioneer the use of local and sustainable ingredients.
- #15 Le Du, Bangkok, Thailand. Chef Thitid Tassanakajohn (Ton).
Stand out dish: Khao kruk ka pi – mountain rice, shrimp paste and grilled river prawn - #18 Mume, Taipei, Taiwan.Chefs Richie Lin, Kai Ward and Long Xiong.
Stand out dish: Crispy amadai with aromatic consomme and wild herbs.
Mume also won the Highest Climber Award for 2018, and was just awarded their first Michelin Star. - #21 Locavore, Bali, Indonesia. Chefs Ray Adriansyah and Eelke Plasmeijer.
Stand out dish: Into the Sawah.

We also continue to build international connections and opportunities for growth between our chefs. This year in June, our chefs and restaurant owners come together in Taiwan to forage through jungles, share skills and ideas and learn about new and unexplored ingredients.
