Updated: A Country-by-Country Guide to Post-Pandemic Re-openings in Asia
Good news! The majority of Asia’s favourite travel destinations have now removed any requirement for pre-travel COVID testing. Most countries in Asia are now open for fully vaccinated visitors from the USA,
Europe and beyond.
Thailand, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are open with no testing requirements. While there are some limited formalities to complete, which we detail below, travel to these destinations is now easy, efficient and for the most part back to normal.
For China, Taiwan, Myanmar and Japan: sadly, they are still closed or very heavily restricted and essentially not open for reasonable, practical and enjoyable international tourism.
In this week’s edition, we’ll share with you the latest updates on the current travel restrictions in Asia so you can start planning and booking those much-needed holidays and travels to Asia. Read on!
