“It’s beautiful. really. The rooms and courtyards and hotel lobby. All done excellently.
The restaurant is beyond fantastic. We had two dinners there (they were included in the package we selected). It’s a fixed menu and each dish was superb. My girlfriend, who is Chinese, said each dish really captures the essence of Chinese cooking with a subtle balance of tastes.
It’s quiet. We were in the back of the hotel (and there were few other guests). We were able to sleep with our window next to the bed open for natural cooling.
The hotels offers a free transfer from the railway station and its centrally located in the ancient city, but far enough away from the tourist area not to be noisy or crowded. It is only a 3 minute walk along East street to get to the main intersection with South street.
The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. English mastery varies person to person, but it is easy to communicate.”
