“We arrived at Chiang Mai airport really early after a very long journey. We were collected by the hotel staff at the airport and swiftly driven to the hotel. We were given an early check in, which was a lovely gesture, especially after such a long journey!
We had booked a deluxe room, which comes with a lovely four poster bed. The room is beautifully decorated, has wifi and air conditioning and all the amenities you might require. Very comfortable bed and a quiet part of Chiang Mai.
The hotel is very beautiful and based on the old Lana style of architecture, it consists of a series of interlinking courtyards, the whole hotel is very quiet and peaceful and a wonderful retreat away from it all. It really feels like you are stepping back in time when you stay at this hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel is very nice, staff prepare you freshly pressed fruit juice, there is a nice menu with a good variety of eggs, pancakes, waffles and omelettes. The restaurant has an indoor portion and a beautiful peaceful outdoor courtyard, you can chose to sit in either of these areas. We had dinner here on one evening and the food was very good.
The swimming pool is beautiful and very peaceful, you don’t really hear the hustle and bustle of the city and you’d almost forget that your in Chiang Mai!
Staff are wonderfully helpful, kind and unobtrusive!
My only negative comment is that I had a glass of wine and it was a bit overpriced compared to the rest of the prices I experienced in Thailand for wine, in saying that it was a perfectly nice glass of wine and I wouldn’t let that put you off.
This hotel is a gem of a hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Chiang Mai!”
