The hotel is a mixture of luxury and history. The rooms give a feel of the “good” (only for the Dutch) colonial old times, with the hand hammered baths. And the whole atmosphere is the hotel is friendly and service minded. The for is excellent and the hotel itself has a fantastic mix of antiquities within its walls (Chinese (most), Dutch and Indonesian. It was a pleasure going to the rooms with my 17 year old daughter and see her recognize drawings and pictures of Kublai Kahn and Sun Yat Sen. Great hotel.
