“What a wonderful place to finish an awesome trip to Sikkim and Darjeeling.
The host and hostess, Faye and Will, greeted us after a very long drive from Yuksom, made longer by the landslides blocking the direct route. The Glenburn had sent a driver an hour and a half to meet us at a wonderful viewpoint with a delicious picnic as we were going to miss lunch.
The rooms are all different and beautifully furnished. The evening meal served in a beautiful dining room around a large table where the guests can interact if they wish.
We enjoyed a 2 and a half hour walk to the river through the tea plantation, with a well informed guide, where we were served a delicious lunch next to the two bedroomed lodge.
I also had a massage in the spa which was amazing and so relaxing before being served afternoon tea and freshly made cakes on the verandah.
This place is something special and I can recommend a visit to anyone who wants to experience tranquility with wonderful views of Darjeeling and Mt Kanchenjunga.”
