We spent six nights here in December 2015 and loved this place. It’s not super luxurious (no aircon (not needed, great sea breeze!), no fridge in room, no wifi in room (but in reception and restaurant)), but very comfortable, and above all, just very relaxing. Our room (“baan”) was right on the beach. It was great sitting our our open first floor porch reading and just watching the ocean. The 12km long beach was mostly deserted and simply stunning. The restaurant had a very relaxed and familiar atmosphere, beautifully designed with super friendly and efficient staff, dogs and cats lazily hanging out. The food is great, freshly prepared from local ingredients (locally made coconut icecream is wow!) that are freshly delivered from local producers every day. The various tours on offer are very much recommended, we loved the market visit, trying out local street food delicacies, and the island tour, exploring its unique ecosystem. This island and its resort are very special, way off the beaten track, and it hopefully stays that way!
