We really loved this hotel and definitely one of the best we’ve ever visited. From the staff, to the rooms, to the gardens, to the food, to the amenities... They were really polished in every aspect. We can easily imagine spending a relaxing month pottering about the town and surrounds of Luang Prabang and staying at Satri House. There is a lap pool and a main pool which is a very calm and cool place to enjoy a book and a snack or a beer. The room was a suite (4.2.1) which was beautifully appointed and very spacious overlooking the main pool. There was plenty of storage, a sitting area, a large bathroom, desk, etc and good wifi. We wondered if it might be a throwback to 1920s Indochine.
