This is a small, simple hotel, where the emphasis is on the setting, the lake, the garden, the service rather than in-room facilities. The rooms are quite simple, but perfectly comfortable, with all the facilities you reasonably need, and mostly look over a wonderful little lake with waterlilies and all kinds of flowers. There is a small restaurant serving simple but beautifully prepared food, and offering three set breakfasts – all very well judged. The most notable thing, however, is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff – they really make you feel as if you were in your own home. We cannot recommend if highly enough – we really didn’t want to leave!
