“I stayed here recently for three nights over the weekend and really enjoyed my stay. The staff were wonderful and helpful especially Lina and M. and John.
Even though the hotel purposely appears older, it’s actually a much younger building but they do a good job scattering antiques and various Java artifacts around the hotel giving the grounds and public areas a venerable appearance. The bar is especially charming and interesting and even serves decent wine by the glass; not so easy to find in Java. Wifi worked well and afternoon tea was a nice touch.
The location is quite close to the train station and also faces a scenic park where frequent cultural events take place. There are several restaurants nearby and the hotel restaurant is prob the best in the city. A nice coffee shop across the street called Java Dancer was also worth a visit.
