“If someone had said before we left the UK that we’d be actively seeking a European restaurant in a country reknowned for having an amazing local cuisine I’d probably have laughed at them. The joke would have been on us if we’d missed this place...
I’m not one bit surprised this establishment ranks so highly: the food was superb, the service first rate and I can only count on one hand the number of other restaurants where the owner actually comes out to see if everything is up to standard.
My only regret is feeling a bit under the weather otherwise I’d have gone straight to the tasting menu. I have a feeling no matter what you choose from the menu it’s not going to disappoint.
In short I can’t commend this place highly enough. If it wasn’t 9000km away we’d be back in a shot.”
