“It’s a long ride up river to Myauk U but worth it. The resort is a welcome sight when you get there. Rooms (or rather villa) are huge, almost a villa, in some interpretation of traditional style. Very relaxing with the lotus ponds. Staff are wonderful. The on-premise restaurant is very good.
If you are not an early riser, ask for a room away from the river as the boats are noisy and start early.
A few words of advice: Just don’t take boxed food to go, or if you do, do not order the prawns.”
