“Over the last twenty eight years of visiting Thailand, and the last sixteen months of living here, I have stayed in a lot of hotels, from the basic to the luxurious. This however is up there with the very best on absolutely every level. It is incredible value for money.
The style is like a Tuscan/ Provencal country house- all winding paths and beautiful planting, leading down to the river. Two pools nestle in the property- one a more conventional lap pool and the other designed to resemble a higgledy -piggledy river- which some rooms have direct access to. The rooms are of an incredible luxury for the price: the most comfortable beds ever, luxurious free standing baths and powerful rain showers, all topped off with local organic products. The rooms are spacious and offer outside areas [ours a mountain view offered great views from the upstairs balcony.
The staff were incredible and all took a real pride in the place,were helpful and friendly and the grounds staff made sure it was absolutely spotless.
Breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant were very good, with a menu of a la carte options, as opposed to a wasteful buffet, and the food we had for lunch and dinner was of an equally high standard. There was a very reasonable and varied drinks list and a daily cocktail hour, which all added up to our stay being a highly affordable [whilst feeling hugely decadent] treat.
If we ever come this way again there will be absolutely no doubt in my mind where to stay. Bloomin’ fabulous!”
