Maison Polanka is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap but provides the most idyllic surroundings to escape to, after a full day in nearby Angkor Wat which is no more than 20 mins away. The staff are polite and efficient and have the ability to be on hand when needed, but always in the background. The food is first class and the beautiful outdoor dining area is surrounded by lush gardens and a pool and sun area. The rooms are well equipped, quiet , with good showers, and have good WiFi. As there are only 5 in total Maison Polanka has an intimate and warm feeling at all levels. The rooms each have their own large, private balcony with lounging furniture and ceiling fans that overlook the grounds. Don’t be put off by the approach but be excited about what lies behind the gates. Look out for the friendly pet bunny that lives in the gardens.
