HCMC is a crazy, busy, polluted, energetic, frenetic place to visit and Villa Song is a gentle oasis of calm on the river where you can unwind from a busy day in the city. If you want to be right at the heart of the city, this probably isn’t the place for you, as it’s some way out... but having said that, they have a private boat service to take guests into town that operates throughout the day. I found it far better to be out of the city and to have a quieter place to stay instead. The spa is good, the pool is fab and the views, accommodation, food and service are totally worth the premium. Thoroughly recommended!
