“What they are doing at the Inle Heritage should be used as an example for the rest of Myanmar and for other hotels in emerging markets.
Service was fantastic, at first we felt a little overwhelmed with all of the greetings and personal care from the staff.. given that there are 4 times as many staff as guests you may understand why it may feel like this, but after a short while we realised that they are all genuinely lovely, friendly staff that are eager to please and interact with you.. We embraced it.
We visited during a very heavy storm and a very large piece of bamboo was hitting against the side of our room, we only mentioned it briefly to a junior member of staff on the way to breakfast and by the time we returned from our day trip it had been cut back.. A huge bamboo tree that would need some serious work.. We were extremely impressed with the effort.
Food was excellent and the setting beautiful.
