“The Tandjung Sari at first glance may appear to have been eclipsed by other flashier new hotels along the Sanur Beach. However it is all the things this hotel doesn’t tell you on its web page which make it so special. The fantastic collection of Indonesian antiques that adorn this pretty hotel, the attentive staff, the amazing food from the kitchen and the sheer peace and calm would be hard to find anywhere else. The bar is manned by a pair of enthusiastic, fun loving mixologists who are constantly devising new drinks for the guests full of natural fruits (none of your nasty sugar based cordials). The breakfast choices were the finest we had ever had staying anywhere and so generous that you don’t want to eat midday. Add to this the gentle patronage of the arts by the hotel’s benevolent and kindly managers, which allows local children to practice their traditional dances within one of the bales and to perform for guests and you have a perfect, well priced vacation. This is a vision of old Bali. We will definitely be back.
