While the drive up to the lodge is challenging, the lodge itself is an oasis of tranquility. Excellent service by the staff (Jhalak was always present to answer questions), and nothing is challenging for them. There are killer views from almost everywhere, and you can spend your time just gazing !! You can see the Annapurna and Macchapucchare ranges from the lodge, with the sunrise views being particularly awesome (we didn’t mind getting up early to see it, especially since there was a pot of tea waiting 🙂 ). We undertook a short trek, and had a very knowledgeable guide about the flora and fauna that we encountered, as well as the region as a whole. The rooms are clean, and the food, both continental and Nepali, are great ! Marcus is an exceptional host.
