When I came across the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion I knew that it would be a special place, however, it completely exceeded my expectations! There is really no place like it in George Town and even the world. This carefully restored historic mansion helps evoke the history of the city, it has beautiful antiques and family heirlooms, making you feel like your a guest of Mr Cheog Fatt Tze himself. Rooms are very spacious, include top quality luxury fittings and are all unique. There’s also an excellent restaurant which I’d recommend for their great value lunch menu or for a romantic dinner. The pool was an added bonus, considering it can get hot in George Town! I hope to be able to return to this fabulous hotel!
