“After 5 trips to Siem Reap, I finally found a great restaurant! Wat Damnak is absolutely a gem of a place, The ambience, food, and service are all outstanding. The food, however, is what sets this place apart. There’s no point making recommendations since the menu changes every week, but suffice to say that every dish on the tasting menu we tried was a treat. The grilled langoustine was exceptionally good, and dessert (mango cashew nut crumble, green mango jelly, and vanilla cream) was an absolute delight. I could have easily eaten 3 more of those.
The drinks menu is also extensive, and very good value. My companion had an excellent cocktail, while I tried a local craft beer.
I would recommend going for the 6 course option, it’s definitely worth it. At USD 31 for the 6 course menu (USD 27 for 5 courses), it’s a steal and worth much, much more. This is easily the best restaurant in Siem Reap.”
