“We’d heard of Cuisine Wat Damnak for years and with a recent trip to Angkor, we could not miss the opportunity to give it a go. It certainly didn’t disappoint – even if you’re not familiar with Khmer cuisine, this place is a treat and an education ... it certainly made us more curious. The menu is seasonal and changes frequently – you get a choice of 2 tasting menus of either 5 or 6 courses. The most expensive it gets is USD31/person without alcohol – pricy for the rest of Siem Reap but a steal to dine in one of Asia’s top 50 restaurants.
The wine and beverage menu is extensive and the chef-proprieter Joannès Rivière will be on hand to recommend you something that suits. He’s also happy to explain dishes if you need – but really, just sit and savour the flavours.”
