My Mom and I stayed in a tent and went for 4 drives (two early morning and two afternoon). Everything was incredible! The camp is set-up just outside the back entrance of Yala National park, which meant that there were less people (and jeeps). The camp itself is beautiful and we saw fantastic wildlife on the drive to the camp gates. Our field guide (Saj) was fantastic. He has a natural science degree and trained at the safaris in Africa. He knows everything about the animals including the birds. My Mom is a #birder, and with Saj’s guiding, we saw 100 #birds We had 5 #leopard sightings, many of which were at very close range. One leopard walked right beside our jeep and paused to make eye contact. We saw numerous #elephants as well including #tuskers The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I am #celiac and need to eat #GlutenFree and #DairyFree This was absolutely no problem. I did a lot of research in choosing this safari and have no regrets. It really was spectacular!
