It’s an absolute gem and oasis of customer service, calm, beauty and culture built in a picturesque spot in the southwest part of Inle Lake. Inle Lake is a very special place in and of itself, kind of like Myanmar’s Venice, but Thahara takes it to the next level and executes flawlessly with every detail — location, architecture, interior design, landscaping, amenities and excursions, food and drink, housekeeping, etc. I also really liked their ethos around cultural preservation and teaching/training the next generation of tourism service people.
