Spent Christmas and New Year at the Tugu and was not sure what to expect as the hotel was fully booked. However, we received excellent service from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The staff remembered our names and made a genuine effort to make us feel welcome. Despite the size of the hotel it retains a boutique feel. The sheer quantity and quality of the antiques warrant visiting the hotel for the guided tour even if you’re not resident. The complimentary afternoon tea is a great experience. The downside is, because it is popular, it gets busy and seats aren’t always available. Great looking spa, never got to use it though. Will definitely stay again – off season next time though.
