“We regularly come to Bali and Ubud has been our Favourite for years. This was our 1st stay at Mathis Retreat (we had tried the Seminyak Sister resort) and we clearly wished we had stayed longer (we had to fly back on 31st).
Despite the slow start (restaurant was closed when we reached at 4pm and staff was not very excited and Creative to prepare anything for 3 starving kids), all the rest was only good if not great surprises.
Big and clean connecting rooms on the ground floor of one of the building, rice fields view, great dinner food with nice wine selection, scooters organized in advance, late check-out where we kept 1 room until 5:30pm, very friendly staffs, tasty breakfast with several freshly made options,...
Of course, the price is not cheap but definitely worth the money.
