“Over the years I have stayed at many 5 star hotels and resorts and unexpectedly this was by for my most enjoyable experience.
Upon arrival the airport I was warmly welcomed by management staff and driver and after a short drive to the resort was overwhelmed by the lovely grounds and secure compound that the Maison Polanka is set in.
My stay was booked for 5 nights with the ‘Yellow Room Package’ (highly recommended) and included 4 Dinners, Massages, Temple tours with one of Angkor’s finest guides and my own personal Tuk-Tuk driver. This represented excellent value!
The Yellow Room was perfect for me and much larger than it appeared in the photos I had seen. The room itself had a fantastic Khmer rustic charm with the modern conveniences that us Western travellers expect. The huge bathroom was separated from the main room by a small staircase. Excellent design!
My biggest surprise of my stay here was the absolutely awesome dining. The traditional Khmer cook was amazing!!! Unbelievably fresh and authentic Khmer cuisine kept me dining here every night...
