Villa Song Saigon: "Great place to stay with easy boat access to downtown Saigon"
"Stayed in the family suite for just a night at the end of a 4 week trip across Asia. Villa Song was one of the best surprises of the trip, Great Boutique hotel, nice breakfast, decent massages and really convenient private speedboat to connect to downtown Would definitely stay again"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Absolutely Lovely!"
We treated ourselves to a night at Tiger Mountain after a trek in the Annapurna region. The combination of a stunning location, gorgeous stone cottage accommodation and an excellent level of service sets Tiger Mountain apart from other places in Nepal. We were very impressed with the knowledge and service level of the staff, the comfort of the rooms and the excellent food provided. Two of us decided to do the morning guided bird watching tour, which was excellent. We saw an amazing assortment of birds on a short walk around the property, including a very pretty scarlet minivet. The views from the property are superb!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Tranquility Base"
"I stayed with my wife and son for a couple of nights on one of the floating tents recently. Our hosts had arranged an extra bed for our son and a lovely bouquet of flowers for my wife's birthday. The 4 Rivers team really enjoy making your stay as comfortable and unique as they can. Swimming in the river straight from your lodge makes you feel like you're in the middle of a jungle. Do get up early and listen to the dawn chorus. The trip to the fishing village and collecting clams in a mangrove swamp is great. There are bugs around at night but they are dealt with. The management did everything they could to make arrangements when our plans changed at short notice. A big thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable. "Slow Villas and Spa: "Gorgeous villas and delicious breakfasts"
"Had a lovely 4 nights stay at Slow Villas and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We arrived early, before check in and were provided with drinking water, beach blankets and a basket so we could head to the beach for a few hours before our villa was ready. The villa it's self was beautifully designed and had everything we could need. The privacy was great, pool was cold, outdoor seating was utilized daily. The bed was comfortable and the outdoor bathroom was amazing. We did not really utilize the kitchen but would be a lovely addition if staying longer and wanted to cook our own meals. The breakfasts provided each morning was so delicious. We had the Australian, Indonesian, and Gili breakfasts and all were so good! The staff were so friendly and attentive to any needs we had, we really can't thank them enough. Great secluded spot on Gili Air. Only con: a bit of a walk (15-20min) to the busier side of the island, but easily doable."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A beautiful place, not to be missed"
I was really looking forward to our stay at 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were so welcoming, the tents immaculate and the food superb. We were lucky in that it was very quiet when we visited, but it was also rather wet! However, the service more than made up for the weather and, as I have already said, the food was excellent.Locavore: "Simply amazing"
Off to Locavore with a friend who. Had been twice before ,no clues given but just told it would be stunning ......Well how fantastic is this restaurant....OMG ...have eaten at Sepia in Sydney and Vue de Monde in Melbourne....Need I say any more ,but I will ......From the moment you arrive till you leave its a fantastic theatre.of food ,presented in the most artistic way .every dish seems to arrive with great flourish and a chef to explain what your about to taste ........I Don't know if the food is created for each plate ,jug, bowl, etc or they are created for the food ,But such a amazing collection I'd like to take each piece home with me ....Won't talk about the food or the wines as I feel you have to experience it for yourself.....To finish ,Great attentive team members, fantastic food ,casual relaxed decor..So next time your in Ubud it's a must ...So good going back on Saturday !!!!!! Does that tell you all .Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "An incredible, unique experience. Must do for Foodies"
The calibre of food served here was exceptional. I couldn't find much information online at all after reading about it in the Guardian earlier this year before we went so we took a gamble, and I'm so glad we did. Chef Black served us 9 courses, all surprises and chosen by him, throughout the evening, coming out and explaining in detail each one and why he paired ingredients together. Distinctive fine dining food with an asian influence - lots of fish! We paid 1200 Baht for a bottle of wine (which was absolutely delicious) and 1600 Baht each for the food. If you're some who loves fine food and the complexities of pairing, go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.David’s Kitchen: "Delicious!"
I joined friends to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed impeccable service and delicious courses from start to finish. From the lovely dining room to the finishing touches on how each dish was presented made for a perfect evening. Favorites included the gazpacho, Tasmanian salmon, Wagu beef cheeks, and duck. We finished with Sticky Toffee Pudding. Yummy! The Governor’s House: "Possibly the best boutique hotel in Asia"
" I found GH by accident, but I'm so glad I did. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and wasn't sure what to expect. Fortunately I'd picked well, Yin Yin (mgr) had organised the things I wanted to do, including some of the best restaurants in town. She and her team made us feel so welcome and the service was five star, even from the tuk tuk driver Raymond. The hotel is small, but beautiful and the staff really make you feel at home. They even made my wife a birthday cake, which made her day even more perfect. I've stayed in Raffles, which I can't fault, but if you want all the style and personal service at a fraction of the cost, look no further than the Governors House..."MRAUK U PRINCESS RESORT: "one of the best hotels in Myanmar"
"It is a bit tricky to get to the hotel but I really advise you to go by boat instead of the land route from Sittwe . You will disembark just in front of the hotel. The hotel has only bungalows . Nice garden with green lawns and ponds with flowers. The bunglow has huge bedroom and nice bathroom. The kitchen has excellent food. The service is fantastic and very helpful. I can really recommend this place in order to investigate all the pagodas around it. "Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
