The resort set in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of town. The grounds were beautiful garden. The room was vintage decorated, beautiful designed. Staff were very friendly. The Island Lodge: "Lovely and relaxing stay"
"Nice little lodge on a island in the Mekong delta. We stayed in a river view room, nice big room, very clean, comfy bed, Moskito net wasn’t really tight. Beautiful view of the river, very calming. The staff is very friendly and attentive the food is great. We liked the way the breakfast was served: you can order as much as you want, so everything is prepared fresh and the usual mess and waste of a buffet is avoided. Works very well for a hotel of this size. The hotel is popular with families, so it could get noisy. We didn’t have a problem during our short stay."Tugu Bali: "The Art, Soul and Romance of Indonesia"
"What really puts this hotel into my ‘most memorable’ category is its ability to deliver an authentic Indonesian experience, steeped in traditional culture whilst maintaining the highest degree of luxury. Nowadays that’s something that most modern hotels on the beautiful island of Bali lack. Hotel Tugu’s calming surroundings provide an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. The building itself and the expansive yet intimate grounds naturally emanate a purposeful sense of romance. It was here I found a somewhat tangible soulful experience. An experience I didn’t know I was truly seeking until I was immersed in it and one that will stay with me long since my return. Hotel Tugu claims to be the Art, Soul and Romance of Indonesia and I for one wholeheartedly agree. The Walter Spies suite was my favourite, an art deco inspired room merged with Balinese themes, complete with plunge pool and private garden. Very private. Worth noting JI at Bale' Sutra 1706' is the onsite restaurant & bar. The contemporary Japanese/Chinese fusion cuisine is a commendable example of fine dining in a casual and yet classy atmosphere. It also hosts a rooftop bar with ocean views and specialized sake bar. There is an extensive choice of fine wine available (usually so hard to find in south-east Asia) and the cocktails are next level goodness."Villa Song Saigon: "One very happy customer"
What a pleasure to stay in your wonderful villa and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. A beautiful hotel which isn't too fussy with protocol which looks after your every need. The breakfast are a delight and the restaurant serves delicious food.Villa Song Saigon: "away from downtown, along the river"
if you don't want to stay near downtown HCMC Villa Song might be your best choice located along the river, they offer free speed boat ride to the city, which is pretty cool! and if you like beers, they will refill your mini bar with 2 beers overnight for free too!Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "A very special place"
I would echo Meredith, Dan and others who have given this a rating of five - or more. We enjoyed every minute of our time at Muang La Lodge and would have stayed longer if we could have. From the moment we walked through the gates, we felt well cared for and knew we were in good hands at a very special location. The care they take, not only with their guests but with the local villagers, is palpable. We had a room overlooking the river - and the "public" hot springs used the the villagers (which the hotel built for them in exchange for the villagers allowing the hotel to use water from the hot springs). While I was initially concerned upon hearing this, it ended up being a great thing to watch villagers young and old come and use it in the later afternoon. Staff was incredible and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well cared for. Both breakfast and dinner were fabulous. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. The quality of sleep was wonderful: the bed was great with high-quality pillows, and the room was quiet with only a hint of sound from the river outside, which made it even easier to sleep. What are you waiting for - book now!The Cabochon Hotel: "Counting the days until I can go back"
If you're reading through these reviews then I think you have already made up your mind to stay here. And you are making the right decision!! This has to be the best little boutique hotel to stay in Bangkok. The service is 5 star and the decor of the hotel makes you want to fully unpack and call it your new home. When I go back, I will make sure I stay a whole week. 2 nights was so short that I almost cried leaving. Do not miss the restaurant! I wish we had had more than one dinner there. Absolutely amazing and smaller plates so you can try a lot! Thank you Cabochon! Cheers to the next gin and tonic on the secret garden on the garage rooftop!Jing’s Residence: "Superb accommodation, sensational food and Imam is the best!"
"Jing's Residence is sensational in every respect. Imam who is the resident manager is a wonderful fellow who greets you in a personal and intimate manner every time you see him.....he makes you think that you are the only person/people staying there and he is there just for you.....and yes he also possesses a great sense of humour. Upon check in you are provided with all the information that you need and are served a cool ginger tea with dates.....what a great way to be welcomed. Nothing is too much for him or his team! Breakfast was scrumptious with their cappuccino nice and hot. Dinner was 1st class, we chose two dishes with rice and the duck with seasonal fruit (duck is my favourite) was actually bettered by the chicken with preserved ginger. We finished up with their handmade apple turnover which is a house delicacy and was outrageously good! The afternoon tea ceremony is not to be missed, it's served upstairs in the lounge area and the little tray of delicacies that are served with your choice of tea were yummy. Dates, bananas, apricots, a free mini bar with chocolate, soft drinks, beer, orange juice that was replenished everyday and the toiletries provided are a nice touch. The little gift left the night before was a surprise and then the addition of red Chinese tags on your luggage is a good reminder of your visit to this beautiful restored courtyard property. We had Imam and three of the team come out and wave us goodbye.....sigh I will miss staying there, it's a long way from Australia to China for a long weekend! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g325575-d1536016-r376919666-Jing_s_Residence-Pingyao_County_Shanxi.html#"David’s Kitchen: "Best food and service!"
I would say this restaurant is the best restaurant that I ever had. I had a high expectation before I go because TripAdvisor award it as one of the best fine dining restaurant in the world. It ended up even exceed my expectation. I like every dishes that we ordered. All the waiters and waitress had very high standard of service. I will definitely come back again if I visit Chiang Mai again! And I would highly recommend my friends to go if they visit chiang Mai.
