Chakrabongse Villas: "Service and charm in a beautiful oasis!"

Review by: Jaqueline D | Source: tripadvisor.com
We are a family of 4 adults and we stayed at Chakrabongse Villas for 5 nights and fell in love with the beauty and charm of this wonderful residence. We usually stay at one of the top 5* hotels in Bangkok but are so thrilled to have found this gem. It was fully booked while we were there and, while there are only 6 or so rooms, we never saw another guest the whole time. From waking up in the early morning to walk around the palace walls or giving alms with the lovely Ms Atom to dipping in the pool to cool down after a long day of exploring, we felt so at home and taken care of at the beautiful villas. The breakfasts on the river were a wonderful start to the day and our dinner was an experience in Thai cuisine that we will never forget. I have seldom stayed at any hotel where I have felt that the staff genuinely care for their guests in the way that we experienced at Chakrabongse. Thank you Ms Atom for making our stay and experience to remember, we can't wait to see you again!

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Best experience in Kosamui"

Review by: hilahis | Source: Trip Advisor
If you're looking for the best value for your money and for a quiet vacation where you can chill this is the right place for you. The rooms are unique and clean, food is great and the best part is the friendly stuff. We enjoyed every single minute and will definitely come back again!!!

Villa Mathis: "Our new Balinese secret hideaway"

Review by: vette10 | Source: Trip Advisor
We arrived in the middle of the night and what a pleasure it was after the long flight to see our driver patiently awaiting our arrival. It took about 20 minutes from the airport and when we entered our room we knew this was a special place! I immediately regretted booking for such a short stay. Our room (I think it was called The Bintan) was super spacious with an outdoor rainfall shower, soaking bath tub and a GIGANTIC wooden carved bed that is probably one of the sexiest I've ever seen. My 6 foot 4 husband said it was his "dream bed" LOL! We woke to a beautifully designed outdoor area filled with Balinese art and luxurious drapery and made us so happy to be away from the European winter! The breakfast was great with made to order eggs/omlettes and fresh pastries. My travel motto is "you get what you pay for" but Mathis Villas is in my travel experiences a rare exception because the cost was fantastic for what we received. In fact, I am writing this review from a highly rated and more expensive hotel in Ubud and mentioned to my husbsnd (on more than one occasion) that I wished we had stayed at Mathis...I'm aware there is also a Mathis Villa here in Ubud so the next time we're in Ubud we hope to give it a try. Keep up the good work and Im certain we will return!

Chakrabongse: "Stay in a prince’s palace"

Review by: 214gregn | Source: tripadvisor.com
This was built in the 19th century by a Thai prince. It's on a busy street and right next to the river. Once you get behind the gates, it's your own private palace. Pool, garden, decks overlooking the river. I think there are only about 9 rooms. It's pricey, but worth it. Our dinner was about a 7-course meal (prix-fixe), each one a delicacy. Took off my shoes at the gate and wandered around the rooms and gardens for all three days we were there.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Final leg of India tour"

Review by: SPhillips64 | Source: Trip Advisor
This eco resort is a gem. We've spent two weeks touring Rajasthan and came here for some r&r at the end of the trip. Our bungalow is gorgeous, iPod dock with Bose speakers so we've listened to a lovely bit of jazz every evening before dinner. Enjoyed sunsets, swimming in the sea, watching fishermen and eating fabulous food. We've found prices here to be very reasonable and the resort has a lovely shop which is very good value. Staff can't do enough to make your stay more enjoyable so have made the effort, for once, to give them an excellent review on Trip advisor.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "How big, how blue, how beautiful"

Review by: JinRummie | Source: Trip Advisor
"It was a really special experience to stay at this restored turn-of-the-previous-century mansion. There's not a lot more to write about its significance as a building, or the amazing history within its walls that other reviewers have not mentioned, so I'll concentrate on the rooms. Not only is the building an exquisite example of heritage conservation at its finest, the boutique hotel they've managed to operate in this amazing building is tasteful and thoughtfully executed. Comfortable but traditionally designed, the rooms are a true oasis after a day of walking around George Town. Breakfast service was prompt and friendly. The food, while actually not as exciting as the true street fare Penang is famous for, was top quality. Lovely staff, one helped me out big time by lending me a wifi dongle they had for the duration of my stay. I stayed at CFZ Mansion for two nights and I hope that the next time I return, I will be able to stay longer . Stayed December 2016, traveled solo"

Manda De Laos: "Excellent Lao Food Overlooking Water Lilies"

Review by: Kathryn D | Source: Trip Advisor
What a treat to eat a dinner here overlooking the Lily Pond! I got the Luang Prabang pork sausage to start and then the duck with tamarind sauce, both of which are excellent. They had a wide variety of wines and cocktails as well to complement your meal. Definitely worth a stop if you are a foodie in Luang Prabang!

Tugu Lombok: "Best ever hotel, would make it 10 stars if I could"

Review by: fabienen29 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is by far the best hotel I have ever visited. First, the settings are absolutely amazing: we spent 4 days there, and were still discovering a piece of art or statue here and there. Our villa was delightful, so are the two pools and restaurant, and the gardens as well as the beach.... absolutely everything is stunning! I took over 300 photos of the grounds, and do not want to delete any. Attention to art and detail is everywhere. Next, customer service was also perfect: from the moment we walked in (and even before as they actually pay attention to nice to have requests at the time of reservation) everybody actually cared about our wellbeing. As an example, our flight was canceled because of a volcano, and hotel manager stayed late at night to make sure we could get a boat to Bali, and booked all taxi for us. Thank you to the full team, I hope we will come back. I will definitely recommend your hotel to friends and family."

Villa Song Saigon: "Excellent"

Review by: Duckles | Source: tripadvisor.com
We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. Staying at Villa Song Saigon is a treat. The tasteful food, the very friendly staff, the spacious and clean room, the relaxed atmosphere and the spa all helped to make our stay very pleasant.  A speedboat brings you to district 1, free of charge and tour operators will come pick you up with their boats in the morning so not to have you get stuck in traffic. It's a wonderful way of travelling, i must admit.

Locavore: "Gastronomic aerobatics and spot international level"

Review by: philip_ru | Source: Trip Advisor
We saw that the schedule of booking tables in Manhattan traditions is full for a couple of weeks ahead. So we tried with a pounce, straight from a tropical rainfall to get to lunch. Day to day it did not work, but we found out about their sister cafe around the corner in the next street and signed up for tomorrow. For lunch too ceremoniously and formally (dishes, not the atmosphere - that's quite a casual one, we met Americans, saddened by Trump at a nearby table), but for a memorable evening, that's it. It offers two sets - large and small. For 5 and 7 meals. And there are options for veggie. The surprise was that to five dishes there are five apetizers and about the same number of digestives. Extremely authored and fantasy, small and incredibly tasty. Yes, another point is that it is necessary to arrive at the appointed time, as all tables are served by simultaneous courses. And the whole ceremony thus stretches for 2-2.5 hours) At this time, you seem to disappear from the noisy colorful streets of Ubud in the mirror world of real flowers and shades of pistachio. Smiles and conditioner. Wow
