Yandabo Home: "Zwischenstopp mandalay-bagan"
First of all we took a small boat to the floating market with a lovely breakfast supplied on board. The boat lady was in exceptionally nice and we got some great photos that she pointed out to us. After the markets she dropped us off on the bank and we were met by a local guide and three bicycles. We then spent the next 2 hours gently cycling on small paths through villages in the forest between the small rivers. Very interesting guide who spoke excellent English. Delicious fruit and tea stop on route. Highly recommend both trips.Cuca: "Favourite restaurant"
We went to Cuca on our last night in Jimbaran, saving the best for last! Such a beautiful setting and the staff are lovely. The meal is tapas style, beautifully presented and delicious. Everyone should experience Cuca at least onceGolden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
"This is Thailand's best kept secret. Charming and secluded and really really well run by Massi, the hotel manager. We were in heaven and are dreaming about our next visit. No tvs, no air conditioning, running water that smells a little due to minerals, but none of it matters when you are at the golden Buddha because you are drawn into a Robison Crusoe fantasy that you seldom find anywhere these days. Lots of nature and very little to do except enjoy the surroundings. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Sanak Retreat Bali: "Beautiful Retreat in the Rice Fields"
"Beautiful hotel, villas, common rooms an gardens are extremely tastefully decorated. Nice pool, fantastic spa, very good food (best breakfast on Bali so far). We can recommend a trip to the base camp from the hotel with the possibility to drive with buggies further into the mountains. The view from the basecamp (eg sunset) is fabulous"Bassac Cruises: "Relaxing way to see the countryside and river"
"We booked a one night cruise and struck lucky as we were the only passengers on board. Even the 4 hour transfer on the first day was soon forgotten when we had lunch on board and cruised along the river and canals. In the afternoon we had a walk around the countryside and sampled some fruit. Everything was explained perfectly by An who gave us a lesson in everything Vietnamese, history, economy, education, social services, you name it, she explained it all to us. Back on board we had a drink followed by dinner. After a nightcap we retired to the small but comfortable a air conditioned cabin with ensuite. Early to rise, we had breakfast on board before transferring to a smaller boat for the final tours of local sugar factory, floating market and rice cake making. Again, expertly explained by An, we sadly said our goodbyes to face the 2 1/2 hour transfer back to Saigon. This was a great way to get to know a piece of the real Vietnam."Le Passe-Temps: "A peaceful and relaxing place."
Away from the crowds and the (too) busy Ao Nang, small hotel where you feel like home. The owners, staff .. everyone is adorable. A perfect place to rest and explore the choice of Phang Nga Bay, paradise islands, Railay, etc. Do not miss the evening cocktail in the Lobby!Maison Polanka: "Amazing!!!"
My husband and I recently stayed at Maison Polanka for our honeymoon. From he moment we arrived we were blown away! The staff was unbelievable! They we were warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The hotel property is beautiful and the room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was delicious! We also had dinner at the hotel a few nights and the food was superb! We were sad to leave this special place and can't wait to return.Heritage Suites Hotel: "Perfect oasis from Temple mania"
"We found this amazing hotel on the mr and mrs Smith website- and immediately booked it in September this year. We have had Cambodia on our bucket list for a while now and very much wanted to see the amazing old temples of Angkor. We wanted a hotel in the city but it had to be private and small with a luxurious feel to it. We found this perfect small boutique in the heritage suite- we couldn’t fault the staff or the bungalow suite that came with our very own steam room :-) Facilities; Swimming pool Pampering Own private grounds The only thing we would recommend they change is the breakfast! It was basic with a limited choice on offer. You could pay more for say an omelet, or smoked salmon, but at Hotel that is classifying itself as a five-star facility then you would expect a much better choice all included."Samanea Beach Resort: "Stunning location – pontoon into the sea a great plus"
"We were only there for one night, but it's a spectacular location - 12 nicely designed bungalows in a green park where you can't see or hear your neighbors. There were two Khmer families shooting their wedding albums - which gives you some idea of how nice it was - and with a 25 mètre pool you don't need to do into the sea - but there is a 59 mètre or so pier which takes you over the initial mud and far enough out that the sea is easy to swim in Food was excellent - although slightly bizarrely they had no fish or crabs. Extremely Eco friendly, and very nice staff Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
