Villa Song Saigon: "Perfect Oasis in Saigon"

Saigon can be hectic to say the least, and having Villa Song to come back to every day absolutely made our trip. The rooms, the pool, the outdoor and indoor dining areas are all beautifully appointed. And the staff is some of the friendliest we have encountered. The location is incredibly convenient. The hotel provides a free boat shuttle to get down town which also removes much of the stress of getting to and from the city. Being right on the river, in the comfort of Villa Song was truly wonderful. We didn't want to leave and will never stay anywhere else in Saigon!

Rachamankha: "Incredible Hotel Stay"

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and it was the best place we stayed at while in Thailand. It is centrally located to many city attractions and it is within walking distance to several spas, restaurants, etc. The hotel grounds are meticulously maintained and it has a magical feel to it while you stroll through the various buildings. The breakfast is very nicely done and there is a patio so you can enjoy your meal on the terrace. The rooms have more of antique feel with a modern twist - lots of nice amenities including a canopy bed, Molton Brown products, and good A/C. The only challenge I had during my stay in Chiang Main was that I got a lot of bug bites - please note the hotel also provides free bug spray so don't forget to use this religiously if you are prone to bug bites (I made the mistake of going without it for a couple of days). I would highly recommend this hotel to others who go to Chiang Mai...you won't be disappointed!

Jing’s Residence: "Superb accommodation, sensational food and Imam is the best!"

"Jing's Residence is sensational in every respect. Imam who is the resident manager is a wonderful fellow who greets you in a personal and intimate manner every time you see him.....he makes you think that you are the only person/people staying there and he is there just for you.....and yes he also possesses a great sense of humour. Upon check in you are provided with all the information that you need and are served a cool ginger tea with dates.....what a great way to be welcomed. Nothing is too much for him or his team! Breakfast was scrumptious with their cappuccino nice and hot. Dinner was 1st class, we chose two dishes with rice and the duck with seasonal fruit (duck is my favourite) was actually bettered by the chicken with preserved ginger. We finished up with their handmade apple turnover which is a house delicacy and was outrageously good! The afternoon tea ceremony is not to be missed, it's served upstairs in the lounge area and the little tray of delicacies that are served with your choice of tea were yummy. Dates, bananas, apricots, a free mini bar with chocolate, soft drinks, beer, orange juice that was replenished everyday and the toiletries provided are a nice touch. The little gift left the night before was a surprise and then the addition of red Chinese tags on your luggage is a good reminder of your visit to this beautiful restored courtyard property. Les Maisons d’Itac: "Home away from home with a beautiful view"

"Had an amazing time with my friends. The property is really beautiful, safe, clean and quiet with gorgeous views of the blue water. The staff is helpful and very friendly esp Bryan. Bryan was very prompt with his replies over email and arranged the taxi pick up, Kawasan fall tour and island hopping tour with no hassle. Food at the resort is delicious. One night we even made our cocktails as we were craving for margaritas. I even had a relaxing spa right next to beach with calming sound of the waves. Totally worth the money. I am sure we will be visiting again whenever we go back to cebu. Thanks Bryan for the helping us out. Stayed February 2017, traveled with friends"

Mie Cafe: "Best meal of the trip"

"This is a small, fairly unassuming restaurant located in a lovely outdoor garden in the shade of a house in Siem Reap. It is easy walking distance to several large hotels on the outskirts of town. The menu is labeled ""fusion"", meaning that the flavor axis is Cambodian, but presentation styles and cooking techniques seemed to draw from other world cuisines. Nevertheless, the food was fabulous (and I'm picky). Prices were very reasonable. The Khmer curry was incredible. There is an a la carte menu, a fixed menu and a vegan menu."

Mathis Retreat: "A lush oasis"

"Loved my stay at Mathis Retreat. A little bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre, it was the perfect place to relax after days spent travelling and exploring. From the leisurely breakfasts over looking the verdant rice fields, to the spacious room (Garden Bungalow) and of course the friendly staff, it ticked all the boxes. The room itself was airy and spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom reasonably large. Only complaint was the positioning of the power points, which meant devices could be charged or used, but not both at the same time. It would be helpful to have accessible power points near the bedside tables. The breakfast food options were plentiful, and I appreciated the fresh fruit juices and homemade jams. Recommend the pineapple pancakes, if you choose the Western breakfast option, but even better was the vegetarian nasi goreng. The vegetarian dinner options were a bit limited which was a bit disappointing. The staff were really lovely and it was nice to be welcomed by the owner, made the experience a little more personal than the usual hotel stay. The wifi connection was good and the free shuttle service was easy to use, making short work of the trip to and from the town centre. It may be a bit pricier than some of the hotels closer to the town centre, but it was definitely worth! Would definitely stay here again if ever in Ubud."

Rakkojae Seoul: "Oasis in Seoul"

A wonderful experience of traditional Korean culture and hospitality. Gracious, generous service, beautiful ambience and superb breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We thank them again.

Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic"

In January, we stayed for two weeks at Villa Song, and to be honest, it was the best holiday we've had in years ! Of course, Saigon is a beautiful and interesting city, but staying at Villa Song was the cherry on te cake. Never have we seen such friendly staff who did way more than just their job to make our stay memorable. From reception to housekeeping, everyone always had a smile on their face and was eager to help. A special "thumbs up" for the ladies (and gentleman) at reception - you were great ! We love you ! Above that, the hotel itself is a little gem : beautiful, calm, impeccably clean and ideally located in the nice Thao Dien district, away from the noisy and busy city centre. A complementary boat shuttle made going for a stroll and visiting the old town centre super easy. And last but not least : the hotel also has a fantastic restaurant with great food - definitely worth a visit ! Villa Song will be seeing us again :-) ! Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Cocoones dans un endroit delicieux"

"Formidable, de grands bungalows décorés avec charme, un petit déjeuner raffiné dans le soleil levant, une excellente cuisine avec un choix exceptionnel et à prix très doux (15 €/personne pour un repas complet) et des produits bio. Et des attentions de chaque instant : le soir non seulement on vous installé la moustiquaire mais vous trouvez aussi votre bouillotte et une rose sur votre oreiller...fruits fais tous les jours et la veille de votre départ, on vous offre un cadeau ! J'ai oublié de vous dure que c'est d'abord une école d'hôtellerie...parfois quelques imperfections mais une telle gentillesse, volonté de bien faire et bienveillance de chaque instant que l'on pardonne tout ! La fondation qui gère ce lieu d'exception travaille aussi et surtout à la préservation du lac et des traditions. En y séjournant vous faites donc une bonne action. Le seul désagrément, le bruit des bateaux qui circulent de manière incessante et ce désagrément est à mettre en perspective du développement du pays... trop de produits bas de gamme, trop de pollution, un développement très anarchique. Poring Hot Spring Nature Reserve: "Well established hot spring and nature reserve"

"The hot spring and nature reserve is pretty established, but im afraid a lil too developed. It has lost its own nature identity. The butterfly park, the rafflesia farm etc. Its a good nature reserve for family and elderly. If you are a nature and adventure seeker, this might be abit too developed. Kinabalu/ bako national park in Sarawak will be a better option No animals free roaming in the nature reserve, the hot spring too is filled in personal tubs. Alot of attraction need to pay extra. On the good side, do hike up for the waterfall. It is a pristine condition waterfall that pretty easy to reach. Alot of basic necessities are provided. Toilets, changing room, water supply are all kept in good condition."
