Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Beautiful hotel & restaurant"
"We went for lunch and spent a few hours at their beautiful terrace watching the lake. Prices for food are well worth, especially considering how beautiful and calm everything is. The place is a school for unfortunate and unprivileged youth who train to become chefs and hotel staff. Seems like a great project. If within your budget I'd definitely recommend staying a night or two at the hotel. Stayed October 2016"Pindaya Farm House: "Insight of rural Burma"
Simple, authentic, amazing home cooked food, cute little rooms, great views over the valley and right in the middle of nature. Aye, the host cooks all organic from the garden and around. The farm is a place for nature lovers curious to discover rural Burma. A fantastic experience to live! a true "secret Retreat" away from busy citylifeMesaStila: "One night stay, beautiful srroundings, will return"
"The resort is set in beautifully landscaped grounds with views of volcanoes in every direction. They also have a small coffee plantation onsite and the coffee itself is only available in the hotel. Rooms were huge and nicely fitted out. Would loved to have stayed longer, but was following a tight itinerary through central and eastern Java. Will return for sure. "Villa Song Saigon: "Is Villa Song as good as before"
We visited Villa Song in May 2015. Our review was a bit gushing but accurate. We finally made it back for our second visit hoping it would be as good.......it is better. If you were to write a handbook as to how to run a 5 Star boutique hotel, start with Villa Song. Nothing is left to chance. The staff are professional, friendly, efficient and so happy. The rooms are stylish and very comfortable. The pool and public areas are excellent. The restaurant puts out superb, beautifully presented food created by Chef Kevin and his brigade - you won't get bored with his brilliant and evolving menu. A guest asked for a drink from the bar that the bar staff were not familiar with. My wife told them the ingredience but before they gave it to the guest, they mixed two and brought them to our room to see which was better before mixing it for their guest.....service? I could go on and on about the hotel. In my first review I said that they treat you like an honored guest. This time we felt like friends. Who knows - next time we may be treated like family and have to make our bed and wash our own dishes...we will still be back as soon as we can. 'Our Second Home'Satri House: "Perfect. bliss"
"Nothing to add really to the other reviewers. This place is splendid with style and characters, quiet because a bit away from the main road. Will absolutely return. Would only say that breakfast service is a bit difficult - you have to order piecemeal (or anyway, that's what our waitress did). Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Mie Cafe: "Small Restaurant Big Flavours"
"The first impression here is great with a modern restaurant in a ramshackle street. The menu is a great fusion of traditional Khmer and modern cuisine. The flavour of the food was as good as anywhere in Siem Reap and very reasonably priced. Our pork ribs fell off the bone and our chicken curry was delicate and delicious. The service was a little slow but I suspect there were quite a few trainees this night. Well worth the visit."Tugu Lombok: "Seriously Stunning"
Truly. If you love architecture and antiques, this place is for you. Around every corner is something beautiful or interesting. We stayed in one of the pool villas and it was gorgeous. The only slight negative was the tiling in the pool could use refurbishment as we were getting a bit of rust coming off them while swimming. The beach is incredible. Clear blue and calm. Perfect for snorkeling.Take the resort's boat to the Gilli Islands. You will not be disappointed. Hearing the call to prayer coming from the many different mosques in the area was unreal. Hearing several muezzin's singing (if that's the right word?) you to early morning prayers is my idea of heaven. Food in the restaurant was great. The resort is so large that we didn't know about the second bar/restaurant until our second night there. There was only one tiny thing that went wrong but I think it needs to be addressed. I came down with some sort of a nasty upper respiratory infection. A doctor was called in and I was given antibiotics. Only problem was, they were the completely wrong drugs. Turns out I had a double ear infection. Had the doctor diagnosed me properly my trip home wouldn't have been so uncomfortable. That being said, I knew something was wrong and on our way to the airport our driver took me to a hospital where I was given heavy duty decongestants that probably saved my ear drums. Huge kudos to him and the lovely doctors and nurses for getting me in and out of there so quickly! Even with this problem it was pretty much a perfect resort experience. We will be back!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "It is absolutely nice place to visit and stay!"
"That is really really nice place in term of pure natural views and fresh foods with low costs. The people there are so friendly and helpful. I went there so many times, including my honeymoon trip, whenever i want to kill work stress and stay in pure nature and enjoy local fresh foods. The chef there is also great. He can cook so many delicious foods and sweets especially ice-cream, my favorite sweet, with hygiene and fresh. Not only day time that i can go on many excursion places, but also at night time i can go to see amazing fire flies with romantic kayak for couple. whoooooh.... so many more! more than i can say! Room Tip: At the end of the south and north rooms are best rooms for honeymoon!"Tugu Bali: "Heaven in the middle of Canggu"
It has been a few weeks now since I left this incredible place and I can't stop thinking about it. Just has Tugu Lombok, this resort is quite special and really impressive. Its architecture, design, art pieces, structure and AMAZING food converts your nights and days spent in that place in real dreams. I really recommend the resort, because you'll never forget it.The Island Lodge: "Perfect Place for relaxing holidays"
"We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and everything was perfect. The rooms are beautiful with a nice view on the Mekong river. The breakfast is just delicious. The pool is perfect if you want to relax with the view on the Mekong river. The staff is really friendly and the owners will make everything for you to just feel like being at home. We did some excursions with the hotel and it was also very nice. They have bicycles with child seat, which is perfect. We will definitely come back. Sylvia"
