On a fairly rustic island, Slow Gili is a modern paradise. Julie the manager was incredibly helpful with talking us through the island and what to see. The rooms are modern, clean and plush. We stayed for 4 nights at Rice and Zen boutique resort. The word boutique doesn't do justice to the tranquil, serene environment that engulfs you as soon as you land there. Michael has created a small paradise away from the city hustle and bustle. It's tucked away in the midst of rice paddies and the majestic mountains. One could stay here forever. Time comes to a standstill. Everything about the place is lovely. Even the meals prepared by Maya, a lovely lady who was always smiling, are simply delicious! One doesn't need to go anywhere. "Treat yourself and stay here. The team is professional, the food is excellent, the facilities are first rate, but all that aside.... this hotel is all about the ambiance. Consistent with the Tugu group's Jakarta restaurants, the hotel is completely filled with historical treasures, all in their signature charming-quirky-spooky-fascinating-yet-luxurious way. my only complaint is that I wanted to learn about all the pieces, but there was no way to- i reckon little description cards next to everything there would totally ruin the aesthetic. And if you are going to stay here, i reco you go all the way: We stayed in the Zamrud suite - such a treat to climb UP into your four poster bed after a bath in that gigantic tub (you can't not). and if not occupied, make sure you get a tour of the luxury rooms- they are beautifully and very creatively designed. great location too for Bromo tours and all kinds of city exploring- Malang is a lovely city- enjoy!"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "The Top notch Jewel of POKHARA"

A short boat ride from KK is Manukan Island. This small island with turquoise waters and white sandy beaches has this gem Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. We stayed in an awesome Hillside Villa just above their private beach. The villa was stunningly beautiful and comfy, you will feel like home. The décor itself makes you not want to leave the island ever! Pure luxury! Right below the villa is the beautiful beach where you can spend hours snorkeling and discovering the reef. The island is small and it has a sunset point where you can go and admire a beautiful sunset over the ocean. At night you can enjoy amazing food at their awesome restaurant with live music! This hotel really is a gem, yes the rooms are lovely, the pool is delightful, and the setting overlooking the Mekong is second to none, but the real quality of the island lodge is in it's staff. The owner personally greets each guest, and the Vietnamese staff, from the manageress to the security guard were all friendly, and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent and the lunch and dinner menu is varied. Prices are relatively high for Vietnam, but not for a hotel of this class. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a snack or sandwich menu to the food options, there are no alternative restaurants nearby, and sometimes we wanted to just eat something light by the pool.Tugu Bali: "Best Hotel in Bali"
Everything was excelent. The staff are very helpfull. Can't wait to stay again in this perfect hotel.This is a gorgeous hotel. The setting is peaceful and glorious and the staff is high quality & professional. They have that attribute of the best trained staff anywhere: they know when to step in and help and when to leave you alone.
