Rachamankha: "felt like I was in a movie"
This hotel is an oasis in the middle of the mad old city of Chaing Mei. The hotel is like something out of an old movie, and one expects Hercule Poirot or Humprey Bogart to stroll through one of the doors and no one would take any notice. My husband and I stayed for six nights and thoroughly enjoyed the place, and even after six nights we were still staring at the beautiful serene surrounds. One of the great benefits was to use the hotel car on out of town excursions of which I thoroughly recommend. However things worth looking out for is the tuk tuk lurking outside the gates. This guy will try to organise your itinerary for your whole time to suit his time and purse, resist and do not try him out, and beware of the hotel staff recommending him as this guy will drop off where you certainly dont want to goThe Hue House: "Roof restaurant Tops it in Ho Chi Min City"
"This roof top restaurant is a lovely spot in district 3. You wouldn't know it was there as the front of it looks like an office block. Look for the Masters Building in Tran Cao Van (just around the corner from the Novotel Hotel). Food was sensational together with great service from our waiter Anh Phuc. It has a lovely ambience and decor with a great drinks / food variety menu catering for all tastes. We went there twice whilst in HCMC, highly recommend this restaurant. We didn't book either time and was able to get in easily . My tip: try the Ga Nurong Dan Toc A Luoi - grilled Chicken"Tugu Bali: "Luxury By The Beach In The Heart of Canggu"
"The history of Hotel Tugu is a great story! Some time ago a poor student took a trip with a professor to Canggu and at sunset met with a stranger who gave the professor a Cupu Manik, a 16th century stone bowl of three parts from which was used by a priest to sprinkle holy healing water over sick villagers. The Cupu Manik was of priceless cultural value and inspired the students deep and lasting love of Indonesian antiquities and history. Several years later, the poor student had become a professional antiquarian and continued to search for the Cupu Manik to own for himself. Eventually he found the precious artefact which is now housed at Hotel Tugu. The student is the founder of Tugu Hotels, Exotic Spas and Restaurants, and these hotels now house his large collection of Indonesian art and antiques. A trip to Hotel Tugu is truly a step back in time! THE ROOMS There are 22 rooms, 19 of which are suites, 2 one bedroom villas and 1 two bedroom villas. The suites are large, with a living area, bedroom, separate shower room and the best bit, the bathtub which has a huge room all for itself looking out to the gardens and the ocean! If you treating yourself or this is a special occasion you may want to opt for the luxurious Puri Le Mayeur villa, a spacious single story villa overlooking the stunning lotus pond. The villa celebrates the eternal love between the famous Belgian artist, Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur de Merprès and Ni Polok, his muse and his wife. The second incredible villa option is the Walter Spies Pavilion, designed with the art deco era of Java in the early 20thcentury in mind. This room is dedicated to German poet and artist Walter Spies, an influential German musician and painter who made Indonesia his home. SPA TREATMENTS I was treated to a 'Purnama & Tilem Massage' Energy of the Bali Moon, during my stay at Tugu and I can honestly (yes, really) say this was the best massage I have ever had. Not just because of the massage itself, but at Tugu they take the care to the make the treatments a unique experience. My therapist, Widia, greeted me and explained that before the massage we would walk down to the beach where we would wash our feet and place an offering for the gods. At the end of the massage we would do place a second offering at the hotels temple. Its hard to explain why, but there was something extremely relaxing, just going through these spiritual rituals that you almost don't even need the treatment! But of course, I had it! The massage itself is essentially a traditional Balinese massage that lasts for over an hour and is in the outdoor spa area, so you can drift off whilst listening to the sounds of the ocean. FOOD & DRINK Breakfast and Afternoon Tea is included in your stay at the hotel. For Breakfast you can take this in your room, outside in the courtyards by the pool or in the open plan dining area. There are several delicious breakfast options to choose from, each coming with fresh fruit juices and fresh fruits. In the afternoon, between 4 and 6pm, you can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea with an array of delicious cakes and treats. Make sure you get back from any surfing or sightseeing during the day in time to enjoy this! And for the evening you can dine at the hotels stunning restaurant, and enjoy cocktails upstairs at the bar overlooking the streets of Canggu. Tugu offers a range of traditional dining experiences that can be enjoyed in a variety of private nooks around the hotel. Room upgraded and flowers for my wedding anniversary, personal service put a smile on my dial. Absolutely nothing to fault with our stay. Meal in the evening was great as was the breakfast. The complimentary speed boat to the city was fantastic too.Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Boutique hotel in Sukhumvit"
"We stayed in Cabochon in July this year and were blown away by this beautiful small hotel. We were unsure if we would like Bangkok but ended up loving it. I'm sure a large part of this was down to Cabochon. Firstly, it is an excellent area of town to stay. It is a 5-10 minute safe walk to a BTS station which takes you quickly to the hustle of town. Plus, it's incredible air con makes it a pleasure to travel on. Sukhumvit itself is also a lovely area where we always felt safe and there were tons of great places to eat. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and you wouldn't believe you were in the centre of busy Bangkok! Firstly, it is so quiet. It is also beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The room is a good size with an excellent bathroom. Also loved the free fruit and soft drinks in the mini bar! They have an excellent (but very spicy!) on site and breakfasts are both buffet and a la carte for no extra cost. Amazing French toast! If I was going back to Bangkok I wouldn't even consider anywhere else. Many thanks to the staff who were outstanding throughout. "Samanea Beach Resort: "Hidden Paradise in Kep"
We have enjoyed our 4-night stay in this place for starting our trip in Cambodia. It's very calm and the place is superb. The staff and the manager very great and very helpful. You can ask them to organize anything for you (attractions, activities, transfer, tuktuk), they know reliable people and the prices are fair. The food at the hotel was also very good. You'll need a tuktuk to go to crab market or beach, it's a bit too far away to walk there, it's only 3USD however sometime you would prefer being able just to walk to head to a restaurant. Anyway we have enjoyed it and would have stayed a bit longerKHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Awesome rooms"
"We selected this place Bcoz it was very near to beach nd plus every room had it's own private pool The best part is they serve the breakfast in your own villa Room wise I would rate it 5/5 Bcoz of pool and staff here is very very polite nd helpful Over experience was awesome Cheers ?!!!! "Rachamankha: "Amazing Stay"
"My mom and I stayed at the Rachamankha hotel this fall following a study abroad program I took part in for my graduate studies. What a beautiful place!! The restaurant on the resort is beautiful, provides a huge breakfast, and the dinners there are delicious as well. If it's in season, definitely order mango sticky rice for dessert- you will not be disappointed. We stayed for 4 days to begin and were very pleased. We then left for Phuket for a week and returned to Chiang Mai and the Rachamankha. Our stay the second time was not as pleasant. We had trouble with our overhead light flashing when it was turned off and the air conditioner did not work well. The staff were as helpful as they could be regarding these issues, but because of the language barrier it was sometimes difficult to maneuver more than simple questions. Their recommendations for restaurants were amazing. Definitely make your way to David's kitchen at least once, and also The Whole Earth. You'll need to take a taxi, songthaew or tuk tuk there, but the staff is helpful in arranging them. It's on the opposite side of the old city as all of the markets, but travel is easy to get there. The grounds are beautiful there as well, and very well kept. The pool and library are both impressive. We would definitely stay there again!"Mudanwan Villa: "A liberation of body and soul"
"Uncharted territory of southern minority spa, goose-screen road all the way south into County Road 199 Pingtung County Checheng, then passing to 199 A at 7.5k reach peony Bay villa, along the way through Sihjhongsi spa area, peony social events site Shihmen ancient battlefield, overlooking the surrounding mountainside peony reservoir from Shimen village, all the way beautiful panoramic view. It felt almost has to end, would like opposite! A quiet rustic journey was about to kick off an excellent spring water, mountain and sea delicious flavor ingredients presented, body and soul this liberation. "Supanniga Cruise: "Bangkok dinner cruise"
"The Supanniga experience was outstanding! The food service and ambiance was excellent: well presented, creative and tasty. A lovely intimate evening on the river. Don't waste your time on those huge floating buffet cruises. Review collected in partnership with this attraction "
