Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing place to stay"
We spent 4 nights and enjoyed every moments . Our stay included the new year eve night and we were delighted to enjoy the staff entertainments with all staff children. Lovely place and memories. When cold in the room we enjoyed a fire . Food was great4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Heartfelt luxury on the Tatai"
"My partner and I work in the area and had passed 4 Rivers from time to time, drooling at the sight of this oasis on the river. Last month we had the opportunity to stay and as high as our hopes were, the place surpassed all expectations! Their guide Darong gave us a warm welcome at the dock and spoke passionately about the biodiversity of the area, pointing out things along the way to the resort. On arrival, owner Anna and resort manager Paulo made us feel instantly at home with refreshing welcome drinks and a brief tour of the reception areas before showing us to our room. Our first impression was wow, just wow! Rooms are sumptuously though tastefully decorated, with everything you could need, from fans for freshness to dry bags for adventures on the river. We loved the water hyacinth furniture and the sprung mattress and comfy pillows were especially welcome. The bathroom is a masterpiece of innovation and attention to detail- we were delighted with the shower (you have to see for yourself!) and the beautifully fragrant ecological products were a great touch. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent, with a great choice of locally sourced fresh ingredients, a breakfast menu which changes daily and a delicious set dinner menu. The ambiance of the resort was something special and we enjoyed wonderful conversation with other like minded travellers during our stay. We took kayaks out around the mangroves and swam in the river, which is wonderfully fresh and clean year round. The kayaks are streamlined, easy to manoeuvre and easily the best maintained of any we've seen in Cambodia. We didn't spy any otters on our journey (they're shy creatures!) but apparently they hang out nearby, and for us nature lovers this alone would make it worth the visit! We've stayed at a number of eco resorts around Cambodia and none can match 4 Rivers for comfort and hospitality. Anna and her team have truly thought of everything, and all with sustainability of the area in mind. To top it off, to our great surprise and delight, on the morning of our departure, Paulo brought us a heart-shaped cake oozing with yummy chocolate mousse to celebrate our recent engagement, which just goes to show that staff go the extra mile to make your time here super special. We will be back! If you haven't made your mind up yet, cast doubt aside and book today! Go for the wild and wonderful nature, stay for the rare luxury that leaves no trace."Mathis Retreat: "Peaceful and refreshing place"
Spent 3 nights there with my wife. Beautiful place, quiet, beautiful scenery, very good service. The terra cotta restaurant has a fantastic and huge breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Easy to get to Ubud center by motorbike, takes 10 minutes.Tugu Malang: "Extremely friendly staff"
"Beautiful hotel. Looks like museum. Compliment to the owner. We stay in the executive suite which was really beautiful at room 214. Very nice bathroom and comfortabel bed. Love the tiles in the bathtub. The spa is very good. Teatime with tea, coffee, jamu and very delicious javanese snacks for free every afternoon. The food in the restaurant is ok. Presentation very nice but taste is missing. We love the staff at the reception. Very nice conversations. Thank you Fahria, Lina, Sirmon and the others. Best wishes from Raymond and Audrey and we will come back"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Best meal in Siem Reap!"
"After 5 trips to Siem Reap, I finally found a great restaurant! Wat Damnak is absolutely a gem of a place, The ambience, food, and service are all outstanding. The food, however, is what sets this place apart. There's no point making recommendations since the menu changes every week, but suffice to say that every dish on the tasting menu we tried was a treat. The grilled langoustine was exceptionally good, and dessert (mango cashew nut crumble, green mango jelly, and vanilla cream) was an absolute delight. I could have easily eaten 3 more of those. The drinks menu is also extensive, and very good value. My companion had an excellent cocktail, while I tried a local craft beer. I would recommend going for the 6 course option, it's definitely worth it. At USD 31 for the 6 course menu (USD 27 for 5 courses), it's a steal and worth much, much more. This is easily the best restaurant in Siem Reap."Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Long quite beach in a relaxing resort"
"if you like a relaxing place and walk for miles on a quite beach without seeing anybody, this place is for you. The Resort is located at the northern end of the Ko Phra Thong island. It is pretty much isolated from the rest of the island. The guests and supplies are usually dropped by boats on the beach. The resort is nice and quite, usually not full. On site restaurant is pretty good and reasonably priced (half board is a good value) so you really don't need to go anywhere to eat. However, you do have to rely on the resort for everything from food to transportation. I would suggest if you have any favorite drink or snack, try to bring them to the island since there is no place to purchase anything except the resort which may not have the items you want. The island itself has no place for snorkeling but you can rent a kayak from the resort and a 10 min. rowing will bring you to a small snorkeling beach on a nearby island. For world class snorkeling, the resort can arrange a full day trip to the nearby Surin island. If you plan to snorkel quite a bit, considering bring your own snorkel since the equipment in the resort is in bad shape. There staff of the resort are friendly and service is excellent. Overall, I would highly recommend the resort. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"Mudanwan Villa: "Very comfortable stay memorable trip"
A parked five food meal of the trip make you feel sloppy, but will not eat too much discomfort, slowly on a road course, every kind of side dishes also carefully executed, like the fruit of it all day, can be a freshly-cut fruit anytime, anywhere. The park has its own lake, with its own spa, with its own swimming pool, free Shihai can go to a nearby borrow a bicycle around the wound. In fact, the whole trip is to stay comfortable with two words to describe, would not say what really incredible place but just a good space, just good service, just a good atmosphere, just good food, it all just right on he created a specialVILLA SONG SAIGON: "Charming hotel in a stunning location"
"Pure peace and tranquility next the Saigon River, absolutely stunning place which exceeded all our expectations. Beautiful, colonial style rooms with stunning views, fabulous food all served with the Vietnamese hospitality. We felt wonderfully pampered and spoiled. "Sea Dance Resort: "Peaceful paradise"
Our cottage with pool looked out over the sea, yet remained private. The resort pool was welcoming -how nice to have a poolside cocktail. Breakfast was a feast of fruit, patries & omlette of your choice plus endless coffee. The highlight of our stay was the seafood BBQ on the beach, with live music, under the full moon. Perfect. By the end of our week we had tasted everything on the Thai food menu & it was sooo good. Sure the beach is rocky, but still accessible to use the kayak & paddle board. The quiet location, food & hospitality make Seadance the perfect holiday spot for all.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "An exceptional Ayurvedic experience and Lotus Houseboat trip!"
My husband and I traveled from Canada to India recently and had the great pleasure of staying six nights at Neeleshwar Hermitage, two night of which were spent on the exceptional Lotus Houseboat cruising the backwaters of northern Kerala. We were transferred to Neeleshwar from the airport in Mangalore, a two or three hour drive. Our accommodation in Neeleshwar was exceptional, and the meals provided in our package were delicious and definitely very gourmet. We had booked an Ayurvedic all-inclusive package, and we enjoyed our helpful consultation with Dr. Suma on the premises. We thoroughly enjoyed our yoga and meditation sessions, and our massage masters (Indu and Arya and an excellent young man at the Priya Spa for my husband) were pleasant and competent. Mr. Sasi was the manager of food and beverage, and his team was excellent, including Dipin and Jayan. Dipin even recognized us when we visited Kanan Village nearby for the Thayyam Festival, and came over to speak with us! Shri Anil Kumar was an excellent Yoga / Meditation teacher, both skilled and wise. Mr. Jayan was an excellent manager, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous musical evening that he organized for the guests. Our two nights on the Lotus Houseboat were calm and relaxing, far superior to the very, very busy houseboats that operate out of Alleppey and cruise the southern backwaters. Captain Vinod, Chef Dinakaran, and Guide Sugesh were all exceptional, and we are very grateful to have met them. We visited a coir factory and a local village with Sugesh, and my husband enjoyed a village cycling excursion as well. Neeleshwar Hermitage was a great pleasure and we thoroughly enjoyed our six nights there, and can highly recommend this experience to other travelers!
