Chakrabongse Villas & Residences: "Hospitality and Location"
Exceptional location and warm hospitality. Our family of four booked one of the river suites and one of the garden rooms for 4 days over Christmas. First off, the property is a gem in the heart of the historic area. It makes it very easy to walk to many of the top sites, take the ferry, see the flower and medicine markets and more. Secondly, both Atom and Ohm and their warmth made the stay exceptional. They provided so much historical and local knowledge that was pure gold. Thirdly, the owner, the third generation from one of the last kings, was in town, and she kindly sent around champagne for Christmas. A nice touch. And finally, the river view for dinner and breakfast was lovely. This is a true oasis in the heart of Bangkok. Skip the soulless hotel and experience a Thai boutique villa. Thank you again, Atom and Ohm!SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Excellent experience"
"This place make me forget I am in Yangon. Like Switzerland or some place in Europe except the temperature on the day. Starting from amuse, allure us and dishes we have also excellent. If there are at least one closed room it is best for business too. I have to report that they made best effort to make separate table and works perfect for the occasion of that day for us. I am sure I will come back again and again. Within less than one month I went three times already this tells how good they are."Reverie Siam: "Great place to relax and amazing food"
"We stayed for 3 nights in this charming resort, we came in from chiang mai by car, an interesting 2,5 h drive through a curvy landscape... We got a villa, as requested, with very good privacy (no11), everything in the villa is exactly as you see it on the internet.. The resort itself has a colonial style, very well done, we had all our dinners over here, their staff will do everything to accomodate you, food was outstanding (although more western style), but really delicious. We asked one night to be seated with view on the river, again no problem at all ! Breakfast is another great moment, nothing to fault on it. The resort itself has free transport to Pai, which itself is a small laidback town, nice nightmarket, you can very easily rent a (cheap) vespa style bike, driving around is easy, the main attraction points will not overwhelm you but because of the laidback nature it stays charming. Overall we loved our stay overhere, great place to stay, excellent staff, excellent food, we for sure would recommend this to anyone visiting Pai."Rahai’i Pangun: "The most AMAZING travel experience I’ve ever had"
"My friend and I booked a 3 day/2 night cruise through Tanjung Puting National Park to visit the orangutan feeding stations. We left from Kumai and spent 3 of the most amazing days of our trip on the river, in the jungle and seeing the monkeys, orangutans and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Our crew were a sensational group of people and made the trip so much fun. Our tour guide Ari was so knowledgable about the area and knew the orangutans by name. We had one of the best cooks who consistently produced meal after meal of the most amazing fresh food. Sitting on the boat and cruising down the river made us feel like royalty. We were well looked after by the crew and they took great interest in pointing out wildlife along the way and involving us in different aspects of the trip. I cannot recommend this experience more highly to anyone thinking about a similar trip or experience. A number of reviewers have commented on the congestion of tour boats on the river detracting from their experience. We found the complete opposite. We loved the feeling of community during our trip and interacting with other tourists and crews, and sharing this rich experience with them. WOW Borneo were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They were easy to get in touch with and always responded to our questions within hours. If you're looking for a tour provider, WOW Borneo is a great option."Sukoon Houseboat: "Beautiful Houseboat – Wonderful Staff"
"I booked a ""tailor-made"" Sukoon experience, including a ""3 days camp & hike"" in the Aru Valley, a local hiking tour outside of Srinagar, and a 3 nights stay on the houseboat. First of all - the planning and organisation of all these individual parts of my ""Sukoon experience"" was perfectly well done by the Sukoon people. The camp in Aru Valley was luxurious with a ""real bed"" in my spacious tent, carpets, a little table with a mirror and bed side tables. Just outside the sleeping tent there was a ""outhouse"" tent, with a comfy toilet in it, and a washing tent, with towels and hot & cold water in buckets. While Manzoor and Rashid guided me on my hikes and took me to many beautiful spots in the Aru and Lidder Valley, Amin, the cook, prepared the most delicous Indian meals I could imagine. What he created in his pretty basic kitchen tent was just amazing - and I enjoyed every bite of all his heavenly curries and dishes, especially after a day-long hike.... I felt pampered from A-Z. Then I returned to Srinagar where the rest of the Sukoon Crew welcomed me very warmly. The boat itself is a jewel in Dal Lake - with beautiful wooden walls, ceilings and floors, spacious rooms, indoor dining room as well as a deck with an outdoor dining area and sunbeds/umbrellas for relaxing hours. The houseboat is reachable by the Sukoon´s own engine-driven Shikara. Every time you need a ride, the Shikara is made ready for you within minutes. The soul of Sukoon, and what makes this beautiful houseboat so homely, is the Sukoon people, with Bashir, Ashiq, Passang, Bela, and of course the kitchen crew around chef Amin. They just do all they can (and even more) to make every stay on Sukoon a very memorable one. They all live the great Kashmiri hospitality - and guest satisfaction always comes first. Srinagar and Kashmir are so well worth a visit - and I (solo female traveller) felt 100 % safe, wherever I went, in town as well as in the mountains. So - go ahead - and enjoy and discover this unique place!!! THANK YOU dearest Sukoon-housboat-team for making my stay such a wonderful one. (One thing about Reservation/Administration that is done by the headoffice in Delhi - Please be careful when making international bank transfers as in my case the money never arrived. Even though the problem with the payment is not yet solved I am full of admiration how the manager of Sukoon in Srinagar, Mr. Muslim Naqash, is handling this case. THANK YOU!!!)"Rachamankha: "Gorgeous, completely unique experience"
I am confident that this will be one of the best hotel experiences of my life. The setting, designed by Thai architect Ong-ard Satrabhandhu, was gorgeous. The grounds are decorated with lovely antiques in the owner's collection. The service was impeccable, and made the experience particularly idyllic. The pool was stunning, the breakfast immaculate. The common areas--open air reading areas with grand ceilings and beautiful furniture, the library with ceiling-high bookshelves and complimentary brandy--were exquisite. Rachamankha tops out at 26 rooms with no children under 12 allowed, which means the experience will always be serene and intimate. And the price, particularly compared to Western hotels, is completely reasonable. What are you waiting for? Book now, if you can!Slow Villas and Spa: "Luxurious Retreat"
"We stayed three nights in the 2 bedroom/2 bath villa at Slow and had an amazing time! The accommodations are wonderful and very private - comfortable beds and very clean. The outdoor bathroom allows you to take a shower under the stars! There was so much attention to detail, including beach hats and bags, head lamps, and a cell phone left in the rooms for our use. Bottled drinking water is provided and is refilled as needed at no additional cost. There was a free pilates class offered every other day and our stay included a 30 minute massage for each person. Bikes are available for rent at a reasonable cost. It is also possible to order food to be delivered to your villa or have a chef come to your villa to cook for you. Julie, one of the owners, is super accommodating and helpful. She helped us to plan our next destination in Lombok and very graciously made sure that all of the plans were secured before we left. The location of the property is on a dirt road (like all of the ""roads"" on the island) about a 5 minute walk to the beach. If you go out for dinner, you will probably need to walk about 15-20 minutes to reach a restaurant. Take flashlight and mosquito spray with you, as there are no street lamps, but it still felt very safe. The villa area is locked up at night and there is someone on duty to provide security. Breakfast was included in the stay and delivered to the villa each morning. There were about 6 different breakfast options to choose from. The food was delicious and such huge quantities! What a treat! If you want to be pampered and relax, this is the place for you! Thank you, Julie and all other staff at Slow Villas for an amazing time on Gili Air!"Tugu Malang: "Geweldig hotel"
"Wat een prachtig sfeervol hotel met veel antieke beelden en meubelen. Is eigenlijk ook soort museum. Heerlijk gegeten in 't restaurant aan het zwembad met tropische beplanting. Grote sfeervolle kamer, koloniale stijl. Heerlijke massage gehad. Goed gelegen."JING’S RESIDENCE: "Great Property!"
The highlight of our trip to Pingyao was experiencing Jing's Residence. The accommodations, staff, food, and service were 5 star all the way. Mr. Hadianas, the General Manager, and his excellent staff made you feel like one of the family. It is the ONLY place to consider when staying in Pingyao. Experience authentic old world charm while luxuriating in modern conveniences and amenities. A truly wonderful property. I highly recommend it.Heritage Suites Hotel: "Best hotel of our trip"
Our guide told us there are 400 hotels in Siem Reap, well I am pleased we stayed at heritage suites. We enjoyed the pick up in the old car and the welcome drink and towels. I had booked the basic room as we did not expect to spend much time in the room and was delighted to to escorted to one of the garden suites. We voted it the best room we had of all the rooms on our trip. The service of the staff was excellent. Enjoyed happy hour and a light lunch by the pool. We booked our tour of Angkor wat through the hotel and it was well worth it our guide was excellent and managed to make the tour as individual as possible and I did not feel one of the masses and his knowledge of the temples and his insight into Cambodia was superb. A wonderful end to our trip around Vietnam and Cambodia my only regret was that we only had two nights .Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
