Maison Polanka: "A pleasure to stay there"
This is a wonderful hotel with only 5 rooms set in a beautiful garden in a secluded road in Siem Reap. We were there for three nights and were treated superbly by all the staff. Nothing was too much for them. If we wanted breakfast in our room at 06:30 because we were being picked up at 07:00, as was the case on two mornings, it was there. When we used the swimming pool one afternoon we were provided with tea and snacks. I can honestly say we were treated wonderfully well everywhere we stayed on our tour of Vietnam and Cambodia but Maison Polanka was a cut above. The food was very good and our room was beautifully kept. We can honestly recommend Maison Polanka to anyone who is looking to stay in Siem Reap and wants a unique experience.Tugu Bali: "A slice of Heaven"
"The great service started at the airport when we met our smiling driver Dewo! Had no idea how crazy the streets around Bali could be and was thankful to be driven by a local :) We arrived at Hotel Tugu mid evening to a beautiful lights and warm atmosphere and friendly welcome and shown to our beautiful charming room - we had a family suit with inter leading doors and a GREAT bath! We loved all our time at Tugu and am just sorry not to have tried out all their ""experience"" suggestions - next time dinner on the beach! This was out first trip to Bali and we could come back here - we had a drive over to the South Kuta side and although they have nicer beaches we felt the intimate setting of Tugu so much nicer than the sprawling mass hotel feel of somewhere like Ayodya! Breakfast could be eaten at the pool or dining area overlooking the ocean and the kids loved the banana pancakes. We all loved the food at the Japanese restaurant on site and had fun exploring the area up to Echo Beach and LOVED the visit to Tanah Lot (best at high tide for photos). Driving anywhere takes a lot of time so it was lovely to be able to have a good choice of things to do (surfing lessons, swimming, cooking etc) right on the doorstep. LOVED this place!"Rachamankha: "Secret Retreats"
We are so glad choosed Rachamankha for our stay in Chiang Mai, such a elegant and heritage hotel. When arrived hotel, at first sight we thought we are passing by a temple, but its the hotel!! Just from the entrance we have been wowed. Architecturally is fusion of Thai and Chinese. Along the way we can see the landscape such as pine tree obviously growth in a chinese aesthetics way and the architectural pattern similar like Chinese quadrangle courtyard(四合院), but just a turn to another way, we can clearly recognize stong feature of northern thai style, and both are combined harmoniously. Many pantings and art collection you can find anywhere in the hotel, further more above the restautant there is a gallery of the owner. Room was smaller than what I expect, but nicely decorated with chinaware, very classic wardrobe, made me feel pass through to acient, just can't stop take photo of it. Superior room only provide standing shower and its fixed shower head which I feel a bit out dated, amenities is excllent, my partner love the smell made from thai herbs. I will definetly return to Rachamankha when next visit to Chiang Mai, and recommend to my family and friends.Tugu Bali: "Paradise within Paradise"
"My husband and I were gifted an incredible trip to Bali. We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Tugu Bali and it was the best choice possible for lavish relaxation! We were treated like a king and queen from the moment we departed immigration. Picked up at the airport with refreshments waiting for the journey in to Canggu. The hotel staff were kind and gracious and attentive at every turn. Our room, Rejang suite, was amazing. Each night we were literally lulled to sleep with ocean sounds as we slept in a perfectly comfortable king size bed! Perfect for a relaxing rest for two tired teachers! We ate breakfast in our room and in the hotel lobby overlooking the beach. We walked in Canggu and enjoyed the shopping and some cool food. At night, we ate in the Amazing Japanese restaurant Ji - the food was heavenly and so good we kept coming back! We had a super cool cocktail and the kobe style beef was to die for! The restaurant is in the most amazing rebuilt temple over 300 years old. If you come to Bali, you have to come to Hotel Tugu and do not miss out on Restaurant Ji. The entire stay was relaxing. And on that note - book a massage because they are gifted in that area as well!! Thanks Hotel Tugu! We will be back and tell all our friends about our amazing stay with you! Room Tip: We stayed in a suite. Rejang! Definitely an excellent choice!"Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazing place"
"Nice an relaxing. Great service. All the mod cons. Probably the most luxurious accommodation on the island. The Indonesian BBQ that you can order on request is amazing. Great aircon, pool, beds, little kitchen and even a USB with shows on it in case you want a lazy afternoon watching Human Planet, Bikes and lights supplied. Great architecture, happy helpful staff. Massage included, yoga sessions, Pilates. Just Amazing"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "paradise found"
we as a family of 4 (kids 9 & &) spent 3 nights at Golden Buddha over Thai New Year. We were all completely blown away by the natural beauty of the island and its wildlife. It was a trek to get there but was a price well worth paying. We stayed in Tongsai which was a charming house at the beach front. It is old fashioned luxury minus air con or electricity at night! The service was excellent as you would expect from the Thai people as well as Massi from Italy. We did a jeep safari which I would definitely recommend. We had a very knowledgeable and personable American guide called Brennan. The whole experience was just magical and one we shall never forget.VILLA MATHIS: "Excellent time at Villa Mathis"
"My wife and i stayed at La Villa Mathis in Bali and this was one of the best experiences we ever had, not only due to the beauty of the place (it was paradise on earth) but the way the stuff did everything they could in their power to makes us feel home. The prime examples was the great help they provided me to plan for my wife's birthday and they even allowed us to stay longer after the check out time so that we do not stress for our late flight with access non-only to our room but also all the facilities they had on site until before our flight. The highlight of the place were the amenities (different luxuries pools and salons where you can hang out as well as Jacuzzi and massage rooms) but the service with a smile was above and beyond what we ever experienced in any other luxury hotels/villas. A big thanks to the lady at the front who helped us plan every single day of our stay and to the excellent management provided by Frank with the help of his staff. We will definitely come back soon. "Tugu Lombok: "Every detail a delight"
This hotel is one of my favourite places ever. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. (Although our home is not as luxurious!) The staff are warm, caring, attentive and interested. The grounds are immaculately cared for, and the beautiful flowers in our room every day were a wonderful touch. Every detail in the hotel and the grounds is a discovery. The welcome messages prepared for us at every meal made us feel so special. And the beach ... wow, what an awesome place to spend a holiday. The staff will make sure you have everything you want, with a smile. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. I can't wait to go back!Sea Dance Resort: "Great holidays!"
We spent one week in August at Sea Dance Resort and enjoyed every minute of it. The whole resort is in excellent condition, which includes the rooms, the garden and the pool area. The team was very friendly, helpful and always available to answer questions and offer support. We would definitely choose Sea Dance again. Many thanks for a great time!Supanniga Eating Room: "Tasty Thai Treat"
"Went to Supanniga as within walking distance of our hotel. Nice ambience and super friendly staff. Really nice that they asked us how spicy we wanted the food and they got it spot on for us - we like spice but not Thai hot! We shared pu jah crab - minced pork and crab meat and pla som Tod - fishcakes. Both were lovely, really liked the fact that the fishcakes had texture to them, not spongy. Both dishes were really flavoursome. For main courses, we shared two crab dishes, pricey compared with the rest of the menu - plenty of cheaper options available. Both dishes were lovely, great to share - one with a spicy coconut style curry sauce and the second dish with yellow peppers. We shared some noodles too. No room for dessert - plenty of food. If I had to grumble then the main courses arrived a bit too quick for us but no big deal. We both agreed it was one of the best Thai meals we'd had - not cheap but high quality food served by a really nice bunch of staff. Would return again."
