Chakrabongse Villas: "A small green exotic oasis of calm, beauty and exclusivity"
"Chakrabongse Villas is very different to your everyday boutique hotel. I have been a guest at Chakrabongse for 12 years on at least 40 occasions. Here your privacy is respected and preserved and you do not have to deal with the typical petty tourists that you find in all the large hotels. You will hardly ever see another guest since they all have their own villa and outside area. Strangers are not permitted to enter the grounds and wander around. The staff are invisible until you need or want them. The outside world of hustle and bustle stops at the gate and you enter a small green exotic oasis of calm, beauty and exclusivity. Room Tip: Every villa is beautifully themed and decorated with art and antiques."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Total relaxation"
Neeleshwar Hermitage is pretty much my favourite place in the world for total relaxation. Cottages on a long beach, sand between your toes at meal times, yoga, Ayurvedic treatments, the sound of ocean waves in the background and wonderful people who unobtrusively look after everything. Every need is met but with none of the trappings of the typical ‘luxury’ hotel. If you want evening entertainment, music, exotic imported foodstuffs, or the bright lights this is not the place for you. And please don’t expect it to change. The owners are committed both to sustainability and to this unique model of total luxury with a difference. If you like like peace and quiet and privacy come. As a couple of retired academics, for us it is very expensive, but worth every rupee.Heritage Suites Hotel: "Very good hotel and service"
"We were very impressed with the classic Mercedes at moment we walked out of the airport. It was a true classic experience right from the beginning. Very good service and friendly staff at the hotel. Lobby was quite unique. Love the variety of breakfast. Very very good experience. Appreciate the late check out too. "Flower Island: "Amazing place"
My boyfriend and I stayed here with two friends for 4 days and it was undoubtedly the most wonderful part of our trip to the Philippines! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the island itself is like paradise. We did some fantastic activities too - a tour of a pearl farm (which was fascinating), snorkelling trips, paddleboarding.. And we saw turtles just off the house beach. The huts are beautiful too and all look out to sea. Truely wonderful - we'd recommend this to anyone either as part of an active holiday or looking to chill out for a few days. The Hue House: "Amazing and Excellent Value"
"We look for a restaurant Close to our hotel and this was one of 6. It had excellent reviews and we wholly endorse that view. We were warmly greeted and looked after by friendly smiling staff. Who were keen to serve but not over attentive in doing so, just as we preferred. The choice of food was traditional/regional Vietnamese and was superb. Excellent appetisers and main courses This is a little gem and not that busy probably because it is accessed via a main office building reception. Located on the 10th floor it enjoys commanding views over the city. Highly recommended."Tugu Lombok: "The definition of hidden gem"
Hotel Tugu Lombok is absolutely the perfect place to relax and a must-do on your Indonesian vacation. The hotel has stunning panoramic views and amazing sunsets. The beach is serene and quiet (even the three or four children that were there when we were there were well behaved...). While swimming is tough since the shore line is very shallow and rock filled, the hotel provides free snorkel gear and water shoes that make a cool down trip to the water easy and fun. Each room is uniquely furnished with antiques from around Indonesia that gives the hotel a cool vibe you can't find anywhere else...and the rooms/suites are amazing!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Simply amazing and unforgettable"
"We stayed in tent 6 north for 2 nights...we do have regrets about our stay. And that is basically the fact that we didn't stay longer. This place is beautiful. A friendly welcome on arrival as we then took a boat ride to the resort. Having just come from Phnom Penh the first thing that hits you is the calmness. A further friendly and informative welcome once we reached the resort. We arrived mid afternoon and took advantage of the wonderful food and sipped a couple of beers on the deck in front of our superb accommodation. The sheer size of the tents and the comfort factor and ammenities available are fantastic. I loved the fact you could unzip the tent to allow you to see the beautiful surroundings at all times. As well as allowing a subtle breeze. The fans provided help with the heat and humidity and the bed is large and comfortable. I love how EVERYTHING moves with the flow of boats passing or people walking on the walkways. Dinner choices are required in advance where you can choose the set menu of the day or simply pick what you like from the standard menu. Breakfast choices are also required in advance. The food is very tasty and the restaurant staff very polite and efficient. We enjoyed a trip to the waterfall. Our 2 guides and boat driver were very good and also great fun. Very interesting to hear how they now have jobs at the resort having been poachers. We arrived prior to anyone else and it was great. The water is warm to swim and the scenery gorgeous. Butterflies everywhere and of course the flowing falls. Fried rice cooked fresh on boar for lunch which was delicious. A thunderstorm started upon our return boat trip..I'm not good with lighting and I'll never forget the guides 'ducking' and 'cowaring' with each lightning strike...when I saw what damage the lightning strikes had caused to their coconut trees you'd understand why. Thankfully after watching the rain fall with such force into the river as we arrived back it stopped. We went on the free trip to see the fire flies. Stunning and so bizarre that they all congregate to one tree..it flashes like a Christmas tree...but it much more beautiful...and the stars...in such darkness the stars are so bright. We were off to Kep after here and were so glad to be given the choice of when we departed. 8am 10am or 12pm. We went with the later time so to optimise our time. Using this to take a leisurely breakfast and to take the kayaks out for a paddle round the island. We saw rhinoceros hornbills and archer fish. Highly recommend 4 rivers. Long may it stay exactly as it is"Inle Princess Resort: "Remains charming"
"Love this hotel. Its unique and peaceful situation with lovely rooms/bungalows and its impressive and helpful staff makes this the ideal place to explore the lake and its surrounding villages and temples. One of the best places to stay in Myanmar. Food is good too. Breakfast and dinner looking over the inlet is as good as it gets. Our fourth stay here."tugu bali: "Secret pearl"
"It was the second time in 3 years that we stayed in this lovely boutique hotel. The dedicated staff takes 24 hrs. care about you and you are not a ""number"" in this hotel. The food served is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed. We will absolutely come back in this ""secret pearl"" when we will visit Bali again."The Island Lodge: "Charme, magie, et Dépaysement !!"
"S'il existe des lieux rares, The Island Lodge en fait parti !! Incroyable de tranquillité, un accueil grande classe, et tout ce qu'il faut pour rejoindre une ville bouillonnante où tout simplement découvrir le coin. Un endroit à découvrir, partager en famille ou avec des amis sans hésiter !! Un moment très chaleureux en grande partie lié à l'accueil de Françoise, Michel et leur équipe !! On y retournera très certainement."
