The Apsara Rive Droite: "The Apsara Queen"

Review by: PeterS6 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at the Apsara Rive Droite so that we had a swimming pool as in the old part of Luang Prabang the boutique hotels don't have the space for a pool. We were not disappointed - this is a small boutique hotel with only about 12 rooms. The service from the staff was fantastic and they were very helpful in recommending things to do even though this is not our first visit to Luang Prabang. The rooms are spacious with big balconies looking over the river to the old part of Luang Prabang. The hotel has a little 'punt' called the Apsara Queen to take you back and forth across the river to the old part of the city where you can wander around. This is walking distance of all the restaurants, bars and shopping so it is a great location. The punt operates 24 hours a day so there is no worry about getting home late or leaving early in the morning to see the monk walking around collecting their alms for the day. We used their bicycles to ride around the weaving villages and then to ride into and around the old part. It was very easy as it is mostly flat and an easy cycle with little of no traffic. Worth doing to explore the side of the river that the hotel is situated on. Very interesting riding past the homes with woman weaving or doing other crafts. Excellent opportunity to buy direct from the person that makes them. When we go back this is the place we will be staying at ....... highly recommended."

Tugu Bali: "Beachside Balinese Bliss"

Review by: Sharper28 | Source: Trip Advisor
We wanted to spend sometime on the beach in Bali before heading inland and our stay at Tugu was exactly what we had hoped for and more! Within close reach of nearby cafes and beach clubs for surfing and drinks; the hotel is beautifully decorated, well maintained and has an authentic Balinese style. Canggu is a much quieter beach location than Kuta and Seminyak and the waves are more suitable for beginners. The service was superb, our room was beautiful with a massive comfy bed and the food was amongst the best I have ever eaten. I cannot stress enough how good the breakfast was!! Yum! Whilst the location was a bonus for us, it is important to note that it is in a bustling area and as such you can hear some noise on a weekend. The spa services are on the expensive side and pretty average, but this didn’t bother us too much as the food and everything else was so reasonably priced. The free Balinese dance night was our favourite evening in Bali and the staff were all so friendly and helpful, we would recommend to others and come back in a heartbeat!

Sanak Retreat Bali: "The Birthday Party of my life"

Review by: Stephanie R | Source: Trip Advisor
"I went to Sanak in December 2015 and fail in love with it, so this time I came back with many Friends for the celebration of my 30th Birthday. The welcome reserved by the staff was fantastic! The GM Sebastian is an amazing, professional and friendly warm person who made me feel at ease and relax. The food was sensational all my friends enjoyed it. The wine list is great we finished a couple of labels... My friends commented about the fantastic SPA, the quality of the service is wonderful with nice products and very friendly staff like everywhere else in the hotel. The rooms are pretty with an amazing view on volcanos and rice fields. Spotless! what a birthday! I couldn't have wished for better. I will remember it all my life and my friends too ! Thanks Sebastian and Sanak's team!!! you are remarkable! Stayed April 2017, traveled with friends"

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Destined to be Myanmar’s first Michelin star restaurant ?"

Review by: phatpasty | Source: Trip Advisor
"Surely this must be the restaurant to put Yangon and Myanmar’s restaurants on the Michelin map! We dined in the beautiful surroundings and were truly amazed and delighted with a superb meal presented by chef Felix Eppisser and his team. In a country with no professional culinary schools, to create such an amazing menu and meal was simply incredible! We ate from the Elements fixed menu and every course was a true Star rated experience - We have been fortunate to eat in a number of Michelin restaurants throughout the last 12 months in both the UK and Italy including Le Manoir and the 3 Star il Duomo in Alba ( rated in the top 10 restaurants in the world currently)... this meal was up there with the very best! All of the staff were delightful and May our waitress and Felix”s wife Lucia looked after all guests ( and ourselves) with impeccable service. It was inspiring to hear how they are training the future chefs and service staff to capture the true essence of high quality cuisine - all being mentored and trained on site in the restaurant. When Michelin do finally find Myanmar, ( they have not yet ventured here!) I’m sure that this will be a Star contender and worthy champion for this amazing country Thanks to all at Seeds for a memorable end to our holiday in Myanmar Don’t miss the opportunity if you are in Yangon !"

Tugu Bali: "Amazing accommodations"

Review by: cocothumper | Source: Trip Advisor
"We absolutely LOVED Tugu hotel in Canggu. The location is perfect, the service is AMAZING and the food was delicious. The suites are breathtaking, ours came with a fruit basket of local fruit. The bathroom was half outdoors, filled with flowers and was surrounded by a Koi pond with a beautiful ladle to pour water traditionally. We also had a private pool in our back yard which was a tropical paradise. You have amazing options for seating indoors or out when dining, and the complimentary afternoon tea was diving. "

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Paradise"

Review by: Charlotte H | Source: Trip Advisor
We had been told that Glenburn was a special place by others that had stayed, but that goes a little way to describe the experience that myself and my partner had... it's a truly magical destination. Our room Rangeet was stunning, as is the rest of the estate, so beautifully maintained by the meticulous staff and gardeners. We loved the communal dinners, especially the tea themed night which was extremely tasty. The staff throughout our stay were always very helpful and friendly, there is always someone around too. We decided to take the hike down to the river and have lunch there, which was beautiful, as again the food exceptional! I would also really recommend having a massage, one of the best I have ever had... We were lucky enough to see an extraordinary sunset one evening, I don't think there can be another view like it anywhere in Darjeeling. The whole place, and our stay felt so serene and relaxed that a special shout out must go to Jemima and Holly who manage the place and are obviously making sure things run so smoothly - thanks you two! My only complaint would be the road, lucky for Glenburn they have some of the best drivers in the world! Can't wait to go back.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Excellent service"

Review by: andycoldham | Source: Trip Advisor
"After eating out all week at $10 for two joints along the Taphul Road we decided to splash out on our last night and booked a table at this restaurant. They specialise in tasting menus and offer 6 courses for $31 pp and 5 courses for $27. Wines start at $22 and rise to $100. Two different tasting menus are on offer each night so we opted for one of each so we could taste each others food. The service is immaculate and each course is described in detail before its presented. The portions are not huge but that is to be expected with a tasting menu such as this. The location is not walkable from the town centre so a tut tut is required but it is only $2 each way. As I said its an expensive place by Cambodian standards and not a restaurant you would come to on a daily basis, but its great for a treat. the service is fantastic, the food is out of this world and the premises are awesome.I recommend a visit here at least once , but do book a table as they get full very quickly."
