Rachamankha: "Tranquility"

Review by: bbendorf827 | Source: Trip Advisor
Rachamankha was wonderful. Very clean rooms, great customer service and extremely quiet. The rooms were big with AC, lots of free bottled water and a hair dryer. Every detail was beautifully thought out. No complaints and I have already recommended it to many friends. I would return for sure.

Muang La Resort: "Hidden gem"

Review by: Jean claude V | Source: tripadvisor.com
By the moment we checked in, we felt at home. Great rooms on stlits, nice decoration and superb bahroom. Great riverview watching local life (bathing, laundrying, fishing) and buffaloes. Superb attentive service, such as hot herbal and ginger tea in the tub, local espresso coffeemachine on the terrace below the rooms. Friendly staff with a special mention to Rodolphe, the French Manager, who makes your stay being so special. Excellent creative meals and picknicks, enjoyable excursions. A great guide showed us the secrets of the Laos forests (edible herbs, medicinal plants), a true authentic experience. and last but not least, the MASSAGE....unique and perfect.

Locavore: "Impressive servings"

Review by: gosenturk | Source: Trip Advisor
Going to Locavore is like being at one of your favorite high-end restaurants. They offer food served in ways that you don't consider yourself. They played with ingredients and served it in their lovely place in Ubud. I was surprised by the match between the cocktails and food + the surprise snacks that were served. We recommend going all-in if you visit this place.

The Hue House: "Incredible evening on a stormy night"

Review by: Carolyn M | Source: Trip Advisor
What a little gem of a rooftop restaurant. Our family of 4 really enjoyed the friendly and attentive service, delicious food and natures sound and light show. Highly recommended.

Satri House: "A wonderful happiness at a cozy little boutique hotel"

Review by: Neung V | Source: Trip Advisor
"We are a family with kids and a nanny. At first, we booked this hotel on Agoda web for the first 2 nights ( our plan in Luang Prabang was 6 days/5 nights). Then we planed to spend our first 2 days traveling around and get to know Luang Prabang before move to other hotels that near the old city. This hotel is not much different as seen in the picture and the swimming pool is just nice for our kids ( 2.5 yrs old and a baby 5 months old). They loved to go to swimming pool almost everyday. The first night, we ended up having dinner at hotel restaurant which is the same dining place for having breakfast. The dinner was very good. The Laotian food tasted yummy and not too spicy. Our kid loves fried nugget chicken with french fries so much (we were back to order this quite a few times during the rest of our stay. Later, we went out to check on our wish list hotels like 3Nagas, Azaria (near night market), Belle Rives (very nice view to see Mae Khong river), we also got the chance to dine at 3Nagas as well ( see our review for 3Nagas restaurant) BUT we didn't very much like those hotels ambience and there is not-a-good-swimming pool for our kids to swim as well as Satri house. So we came back and talked to Satri House hotel manager "" Giovanni"" that we loved to extend our stay at Satri House for the next 4 days/3 nights. It was very appreciated to say that Satri hotel GM gave us a good hotel deal package for our extended. We got the same junior suit room type with lower rate than the previous booking from Agoda website and a plus was the spa for 2 (oil massage or traditional Laotian massage) for free. We found that our trip in Laos wouldn't be as nice if we didn't stay at Satri House. It was a family friendly hotel, Very nice breakfast (we tried every breakfast menu during our 6 days stay in both international dish and local dish). Our kids like hot chocolate drink and we all loved fresh orange juices and a fruit bowl in every morning too (croissant and bread were also good). I could even say that some of the dish is as good as 3Nagas or even better! For us, we are no need to go to other hotels or go through those restaurants that listed with overrated star in Laung Prabang. We finally were happy with Satri House for the stay, the food, the location, the friendly and always helpful hotel staff and especially, Hotel GM. Thanks for taking good care of us. We hope to go back again for our next vacation soon. Love Satri House! We impressed."

Sukoon Houseboat: "Sukoon… Peace of mind"

Review by: Vinod R | Source: Trip Advisor
"Happened to stay at sukoon for one night. Houseboat is located in one corner of dal lake and it rightfully earns it's name ""sukoon"". All I can hear was birds chirping, occasional ripples of water caused due to shikara and ofcourse my baby girl commenting in her coded language. You will find an amazing team who amongst themselves can communicate in total 10 Indian languages. Give a free hand to chef Anand who can experiment and amaze you with his culinary skills. Try Kashmiri bread with butter and apple cinnamon jam. For travellers who would like to watch TV this place would disappoint you as in principle it's against the theme. For history lovers make sure to read a letter from the office of Neil Armstrong dated 1972. A vote of thanks to tariq, kiran, azad and Anand for their wonderful hospitality. "

Reverie Siam Pai: "Lunch at Riverie Siam"

Review by: MindySupatcharee | Source: Trip Advisor
My friend has recommended me to this place for overnight stay but unfortuniately all rooms were occupied. I decided to stop over for lunch which I had nice Italian dinning, good taste, great presentation by the waitress and I guess the owner. Totallo love it and looking forward to coming back soon!

Tugu Bali: "Old world charm with the location to match"

Review by: Danny F | Source: Trip Advisor
"We asked for a beach view and we definitely received one. Great view of the beach/sunset with the sound of the waves constantly crashing in. The room had so much old world charm about it that it really makes you wonder what has happened to the current state of hotels. The entrance hall was breathtaking with the high ceilings and the massive timber beams scattered throughout. Staff were second to none and all the Indonesian/Balinese inspired meals were also a highlight. We left as relaxed and refreshed as we ever have after a few weeks in Bali. We will be back in again in a few months."

Sanak Retreat Bali: "The best of Bali Paradise"

Review by: Lreveruzzi | Source: Trip Advisor
What a treat! We feel so lucky that we stumbled upon the Sanak and booked a villa. Set in the midst of rice paddies that stretch as far as the eye can see lies this unassuming beautiful retreat. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa which allowed us to have an amazing view of the sunrise AND sunset. The villa was calming, beautifully designed and beyond comfortable. The best bed of our 2 week trip! The restaurant had amazing food, great prices and a staff that was attentive and super friendly. The activities offered were a great value and very diverse from traditional Bali to tourist activities. We could not want for more. Lina, the ground manager, was amazing and super helpful with anything you needed. The best thing to do was literally sitting by the pool with fresh juice and a book hearing the sounds of nature and chanting in the far off distance. The retreat truly was just that, a retreat. The pricing was more than fair for the value you received and the location is amazing, remote yet easy to get to from Ubud (about 1.5 hour drive). We can not say enough about this place, it is a GREAT place to spend some time in Bali. The only negative was that we wish we stayed longer!!

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Quiet retreat in top notch accomodations"

Review by: Rick W | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I spent 6 nights at Maison D'Itac in the lovely Bamboo room. We took a Ceres line aircon bus (105 pesos per person) from Cebu City and arrived 3 hours later. Bryon picked us up in Ronda, the nearest city - about 5 minutes from the Maison. Bryon and his staff were excellent during our stay and we enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing time there. We even got to a wonderful pig roasted lunch that Bryon provided in a celebration of the baptism of his baby boy. and the daily breakfast is quite filling wo we ended up eating only one more meal (dinner) each day. We rented a motor bike in Moalboal (15 minutes away) as local transportation is limited. We enjoyed several nice dinners in Panagsama Beach, a divers resort area, as well as a day snorkeling, another day canyoning, and one day at the White beach. The area is somewhat laid back and not highly developed yet. It is a wonderful area to hang out and enjoy warm waters, warm days and nights. We were there in December and the temperatures were perfect, sunny days with a mild wind everyday.
