Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Nice hotel, lovely staff"

Review by: Camaderry | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel is a little gem. Large rooms/ suites in a perfect location in this very nice town. The staff were uniformly so friendly and helpful. I can confirm that the breakfast on the roof terrace is excellent. We have a lovely memory of our stay here.

Reverie Siam: "Simply outstanding"

Review by: Piotr L | Source: Trip Advisor
This place is a hidden pearl worth the long way of 762 curves on route from Chiangmai and we simply loved it so much that we didn't want to leave. Great atmosphere, service, stylish rooms and gardens as well as one of the best places for yoga in the early morning. The food is a innovative mix of tradition and experiments with new ideas, most of it really worth trying. Definitely one of the best cappuccinos in Thailand. We also liked a lot the concept for breakfast that you order a la carte. Things for improvement - bathrooms could do with a little more privacy and water saving. Overall it's a place to come back to.

Satri House: "Wonderfully peaceful boutique hotel"

Review by: Millie M | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Had a wonderful time at Satri house in late August for the first few days of our honeymoon. The whole hotel is full of the most fascinating antiques and curios, and is really beautifully designed. We stayed up in the Satri House suite, in the building where the prince of Laos used to sleep! The suite was so beautiful, and had a view over the serene swimming pool. If you are a fan of vintage and mid-century antiques, you will love it! Whilst staying at Satri House (due to it being the raining season) there were no other guests, so we were treated to the experience of staying in our 'own private mansion' with all of the fabulous and incredibly helpful staff there to cater for our every need. Just perfect! No matter the time of day or how late we had been out, we always returned to the hotel to find 4 people at the front desk ready to help us, and two behind the pool side bar, just in case we fancied ordering a drink! The food deserves special mention too. Dinner on the first night was delicious - lots of carefully crafted local specialities with 5* presentation. Although the hotel is set away from the main part of town, it's still within walking distance or a very easy 2 minute tuk tuk ride. We preferred being slightly further out as the peace and quiet was exactly what we wanted at the end of the day. "

Satri House: "Colonial splendor a walking distance from the historical center"

Review by: Guildev-Paris | Source: Trip Advisor
Satri House is a charming colonial style hotel in Luang Prabang in a quiet area of the city. It is a walking distance from the historical center and if you wish some bicycles are as well free of charge at your disposal in the hotel. You can just ask for a lock at the reception. The hotel complex is highly elaborated with some charming rooms in the new part of the property in colonial like buildings that look just like they were conceived at the French colonial period. One older building was the official house of the Laos Crown Prince and you can stay there in three suites with antique furnitures. A pond with lotus flowers, many tress give to the place a very romantic touch. A restaurant with a talented Lao female Chef is at your disposal for delicious meals Lao or Western. Breakfast is served there at your convenience. The staff is particularly nice and friendly and will always do their best to assist you. Take time to have a talk with them as they love to practice foreign languages. The managing director is a young european guy who is very welcoming and will help you make your stay unique. Take time to wander around Luang Prabang and enjoy your time in the hotel itself (the place is great for romance ! Keep it in mind)

Samanea Beach Resort: "Stunning rooms & views; disappointing food"

Review by: Boboli87 | Source: Trip Advisor
"A great 4 nights here with fantastic villas (they are enormous and luxurious) and breathtaking views over the bay. It was a perfect place to chill out. Don't expect a buzzing environment, everyone seemed to be here to unwind which was perfect for us. The pool was fab. The views are fantastic but don't expect to walk into the sea. There is a manmade beach but no natural beach (although no-where in kep seemed to have this unless you visit the Islands) but this didn't bother us at all. Unfortunately food was a bit of a let down. Breakfast was tasty and fresh (you can order as many items as you want) but otherwise dishes were far to small and expensive for what was served. Eat out in town for better food"

Mie Cafe: "Wonderful discovery for Khmer fusion food"

Review by: demi_dee_001 | Source: Trip Advisor
We have been living in Cambodia for 20 months now and have tried a lot on the evolving Top Ten restaurant must-try. Now here is one quiet, unassuming restaurant off the tourist spots in Siem Reap that we found to be REALLY, REALLY GOOD. Chef Pola is Khmer and very creative with local cuisine plus his talent and training abroad makes it world class gourmet. What can I say.. I even tried the red ants and eggs on the menu and liked the entire dish. Just give the tuktuk driver the address and he can bring you there.

Cuca: "Amazing culinary experience"

The Cabochon Hotel: "Exceptional hotel"

Review by: Georgia G | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful hotel - lovely furnishings and stylish rooms. The staff were extremely helpful, spoke good English and upgraded us for free! Food also great - free breakfast was good (lots of choice) and the lunch we had was also delicious.

Mie Cafe: "Delicious and Delightful"

We had lunch at this restaurant between temple visits in Angkor Wat . It afforded excellent and friendly service, delicious food and an extensive menu in an air-conditioned, inviting restaurant. Go for the delicious Food!!

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A beautiful restaurant"

Review by: Kerensa2014 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I only managed to try the top 2 recommended restaurants in Yangon - Seeds and Le Planteur and have to say that Seeds is number 1 for good reasons. Everything in this restaurant is beautiful - the food, decor and grounds which fronts the lake with lotus flowers. It’s perhaps better to come before night falls in order to fully appreciate the surroundings. The place is a little difficult to find and signage not very prominent so do ensure that your driver knows it before you set off. Food is gorgeous and the service is good and staff cheerful. If you only time to visit one restaurant in Yangon, make it this one."
