Tugu Bali: "the dream holiday"
"I have been to TUGU Bali few times and every time it is more and more relaxing and pleasant. I find great the idea that a guest can have breakfast at ANY TIME without bothering about timing..and ANYWHERE (pool, room, sea front...). The spa is also very pleasant! and if you have time you can also follow a cooking class..!!...I always felt pampered at TUGU!!....and, last but not least, the staff is excellent, professional and always caring about the guests needs. I will returner sure!"Slow Villas and Spa: "The best hotel experience ever!"
"This is a perfect place for those who are looking for privacy and piece. The villas are very nice decorated, rustic and chic at the same time. Some nice details makes a big difference: the soap is hand made, very nice hand messages around, map full of handwriting messages and recommendations, the baby cot is made of bamboo. They have bikes available to ride around the island, the breakfast is ordered the day before (and it has options for all tastes) and served in the comfort of your Vila. Julie, the co-owner is a sweetheart herself and all the staff is super nice, always willing to help and in super good mood. We felt treated like a family. The only issue was having to log in all the time to the Internet, but when done, it worked quite well. They didn't have a coffee machine when we were there, but it was already ordered. Highly recommend. The price was worth it. And the prices there are quite ok, not overpriced."Jing’s Residence: "Terrific stay, best in Pingyao"
My family of four stayed 2 terrific nights at Jing's Residence in November 2016. The staff was incredibly attentive, and very engaging and friendly to our two young children. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well appointed. Wonderful atmosphere. Fantastic food, also. Location is perfect for exploring Pingyao, and the hotel can arrange a reasonably priced car and driver to nearby attractions. Highly recommend this hotel to stay, and the restaurant also. Pingyao - due in part to how much we liked Jing's Residence - was one of my favorite experiences in China over four years living here.Slow Villas and Spa: "Perfect place to relax"
The Iland is magic and Slow Villas gives you the confort you need to relax. Great people working always ready to help and share experiences with you. The beach is 5 minutes walking, offering with some very good restaurants and the perfect sunset.David’s Kitchen: "A great restaurant with excellent service"
My husband and I wanted to have a break from the wonderful Thai dishes we’ve been enjoying throughout our trip, so we decided to book a table at David’s Kitchen. We ordered drinks and the set menu. Everything was on point. The cocktails were great, the pumpkin soup was silky and delicious, the beef bourguignon with the mashed potatoes was wonderful and the sticky toffee pudding was a sweet ending to our meal. The one thing that truly made the dinner excellent, however, was the fact that David and his wife were there to chat with their guests and really engage with all of us. This made my husband and me feel truly welcome at the restaurant. Thank you, David and the team. We surely will come back whenever we’re in Chiang Mai.Sanak Retreat Bali: "Family vacation"
"What a wonderful stay / experience - We just love Sanak Retreat Bali. After travelling around asia for 2 months We arrived at this wonderful, beautiful and most quiet place at Bali. We had a lovely and warm greeting by the staff / No I Will not Call it staff but the Sanak Family. Due our stay they where all so kind, helpful and aware of every guest. The surroundings are breathtaking and even in rain season this is the perfect place to be for exploring and relaxing. We are looking forward to come back!"The Tiger’s Eye: "Creativity"
Great to see Chef Timothy's creativity back. After trying The Common Tiger, good to see him in his new address at The Tiger's Eye. Different venue, but same vibe, same team around him, same effort to source locally and to shake the established dining scene in Phnom Penh. A must try for connoisseurs!Maison Polanka: "Luxury and pracefulness"
My wife and I visited in March and stayed in the separate room beside the dining and pool area. The service was excellent, as were the facilities. The staff were always helpful and we always felt we were returning to a luxurious retreat every time we came back from a day of temples and walking in the heat. We would happily stay again.Sea Dance Resort: "Amazing!"
"We have just returned after 25 days in Koh Samui. 9 + 1 days were spent at Sea Dance. We had booked a deluxe cottage for 9 days from home but chose to upgrade to the pool villa when we arrived. Despite high expectations from home, we were pleasantly surprised. Sea Dance is unique and the atmosphere is relaxed. The food is in a category by itself, everything was insane good. Cocktails with homemade ingredients and a huge selection of gin / tonic. We chose to go back to Sea Dance the last day of the holiday, despite having paid to stay somewhere else. Thank you so much to Poy, Faith, John and the whole team. We give our absolute best recommendations! Thanks from Emil, Johanne and Alfred."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Compassionate Oasis with Unparalleled Service"
"How do I begin? My husband and I returned to Inle Heritage for the second time after our first visit in January 2016. The first time we had planned for 2 nights, but fell in love with everything we changed our plans and stayed for 3. This time around, we planned on 4 nights, although we could have stayed even longer. It feels like our second home! :) I cannot summarize how perfect the stay was yet again, and how humbling it is to see such hardworking, kind, and compassionate people who make it all possible. When you stay here, you will of course be in awe of the beauty of the lake while staying in a quaint bungalow on stilts, but you will also be in awe of the people with their big smiles, and even bigger hearts. This is what makes Myanmar such a special place to visit. Of course there are tons of beautiful things to see and do, but it wouldn't be as special without the people. Our stay included breakfast, which we had sent to the room each morning. We have a special vegan diet, and yet again, they exceeded our taste buds with all of the delicious food. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert - all the best food we have ever eaten in our entire lives. Shan food is incredible, and I recommend you eat a lot of it during your stay! We were lucky enough to meet with Chef Naing Win again, and cannot send our praises enough. He is not only very kind, but brilliant at what he does! Everyone in the restaurant went above and beyond to make our dining experience perfect. We are so very thankful for their hospitality and care. Honestly, again, they have the best food in the entire world! :) Thant Zin Aye was a wonderful help with booking our room, arranging airport transfers, and also a day trip to Pindaya. She has a heart of gold, and I hope you take the time to talk and get to know how special she is during your stay! She became our friend from our first visit, and will stay a close one for the rest of our lives. Htun Tint Aung and the rest of the staff at the lobby are also full of golden hearts, too! You cannot stay at this hotel and find someone who doesn't go above and beyond to make everything so special. I promise you, you will leave with memories that will stay with you always, and will make you return again. Make sure to check out the Burmese cat sanctuary on site. Chaw Su takes wonderful care of the cats! Biggest heart and the perfect mother to all the kitties. She also does the gift shop, where she works with many disadvantaged groups to help create local crafts, along with individuals that may not have the chance to get their work in front of people. 80% of the profits go back to these people - so please, make sure to stock up on gifts for your friends, family, and even something for yourself. We are very lucky and honored to have met Chaw Su, and to call her a friend. Make sure to find her and tell her how appreciated she is for all that she does! :) There is a hospitality training center on site as well. Did you know, this hotel is a not-for-profit, so the money you spend here is helping the students with their futures? It also helps fund other conservation efforts around the lake. How amazing is that? We love staying places where the money goes towards something good. You will be helping students build bright futures, and helping to preserve the wonderfully vast Inle Lake. During this recent visit, we were able to meet the founder, Yin Myo Su. She is brilliant, strong, and compassionate. Everything she does for others and her community leaves us speechless. She is one to watch and learn from. Can you sense that people with big hearts are common here? :) In case I haven't given it enough praise, we highly recommend staying at Inle Heritage. I know it will feel like your second home, too. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"
