SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A Meal to Remember"
We dined here about two weeks ago. A truly fantastic meal and incredibly beautiful outdoor space. It is expensive but well worth the cost. My only complaint would be I hate it when the owner of a restaurant stops by the tables and asks how your meal is. I guess some people might like that, but I'd prefer to be left in peace. Anyhow, this was the best meal I've had since an incredible dinner two years ago in Madrid.Jing’s Residence: "Fantastic Hotel! Fantastic Service!"
"We decided to visit Pingyao based on Lonely Planet recommendations (Pingyao is famous as a walled city and well-known for its local goods). So glad we did! This hotel was the best during our China/HK holiday. It is an oasis in an otherwise dusty and remote location. The room and facilities is top notch although don't expect to watch TV as there is none except in the guest lounge. You won't miss it though as the hotel offers spa treatments; noodle making and paper cutting classes. We were able to relax in the guest lounge with complimentary afternoon tea. All tea and delicacies (we had eight bean treasure one day and a type of porridge the next) are locally produced and were delicious. The restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner with a wide selection available. Loved the scrambled eggs Chinese style on a bed of steamed rice for breakfast. Personal service and attention from all the staff is second to none but especially from the resident manager, Imam, who is outstanding. He was always available to assist or ensure our needs were being met and popped up magically as we would pass through the lobby area. On our final morning of our stay he took us on a personal tour of a ruined courtyard giving us a tremendous insight into how the locals lived many years ago as well as escorting us to a local shoe manufacturer. We would definitely stay here again and the hotel and friendliness make this place worth the detour to Pingyao itself! "4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Delightful Glamping"
"If you like a very mild degree of roughing it, this is a fabulous place to stay. The tents are very roomy and comfortable, the restaurant is delicious, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the setting -- well, look at the pictures! And yes, you can swim right from your tent! But make no mistake: it's not a hotel. If your tent is too hot, there's no AC -- you have to go around back and open up the flaps to let some breeze in."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "WOW Amazing and Stunning"
"The beautiful amazing and stunning Blue Mansion is a dream come true. It really is a dream location to stay in and a great honour to have been able to reside here for only 1 night (which was not enough). We got there late and was greeted by Shiro. Shiro is a great host and always smiling and happy to help you with everything. She has knowledge of the Mansion and where to go out in the local area. The Mansion is stunning where ever you look you have a view which is jaw dropping! We stayed in the room ""The Old Kitchen"" which still has the old large stove as a centre piece in the room covered in glass to protect it. The room has its own has its own Jacuzzi which is beautifully lit and tiled. The shower here is stunning. Old fashioned but modern and powerful with various settings. The room is large and open planned with amazing woodwork and large shutters. You can imagine Cheong Fatt Tze walking around his mansion. This place still has a very strong presence of him. Breakfast is great and again the setting is just awe inspiring! Thank you to Ms Seng RouHan for your help with our booking. The tour completed the experience. If you have time take the tour which is included for paying guests. I would like to stay here longer in future but I would find it very hard to leave if I stayed too long as this place is just simply heaven. Thank you Blue Mansion. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Dewakan: "Wong family"
Excellent. Family of 9 enjoyed the dishes very much and also like the ambient. Although out of the city centre in Shah Alam in the KDU University College campus, it worth the trip! The Island Lodge: "Lovely lodge, beautiful grounds, easily accessible from Ho Chi Minh City"
The Island Lodge was perfect for our family holiday. The lodge has a great, handy location, we wanted a taste of the Mekong and did not have time to travel any further yet we felt tucked away in the greenery beside the river. It is a smaller boutique style family owned place with beautiful grounds, gardens and wonderfully friendly helpful staff. The food and the spa are very nice, we had a really enjoyable stay.Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Taste explosions all night"
Finally made it to Le Du last night, and it was amazing: we took the 6 course tasting menu, creating a long series of taste explosions in my mouth. Authentic Thai taste in a different, deconstructed form - like the short beef rib dressed as a Khao Soi (but without the soup), or the phenomenal river prawn with Chu Chi sauce (but not a curry). It's all very creative, well presented and served, by very nice and knowledgeable staff. Let's not forget the desserts, they are delicious and very creative, too. Nice wine list as well. Fantastic restaurant.Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Perfect for a Bangkok break"
Perfect stay from beginning to end. Staff were incredibly friendly and always looking to assist. Great location, just off sukhumvit road and 5 mins from the Skytrain, yet feels wonderfully tranquil and cut off from the hustle and bustle. Have already recommended to friends visiting in the near future, and will most certainly be returning ourselves.Labyrinth: "Inventive Menu by Chef / Owner L G Han"
"If you are looking for a dining experience to really remember then the one Michelin Star, Labyrinth Restaurant is for you. We enjoyed the ten (10) course, very inventive, degustation menu with matching wines. This was not a 'cheap meal out' alternative but what an experience. The sensational flavours Chef Han has 'developed / created' and presents beautifully onto your plate are to die for and create much discussion if you are lucky enough to be sharing this experience (and I mean a 'real experience') with someone. Each course is described by the excellent staff, who are attentive, but not overly so, which is good for a dining experience. We were lucky enough to get to talk to Chef / Owner Han (apparently an Investment Banker ?? in a previous life), who is a very dedicated and focused Chef and ever so willing to talk about his passion for food, presentation, attention to detail and how and why he set out to create the 'truly innovative' fair he offers at Labyrinth. If you're in Singapore, love food and wine and like to challenge your taste buds with something very different, then Labyrinth will certainly meet your every expectation."VILLA SONG SAIGON: "A luxurious and peaceful escape from the bustle of the city"
"Our first two nights in Vietnam were spent at Villa Song. This was the most idyllic way to kickstart our holiday. The location beside the river is specatular. We had the suite on the top floor with the little parlour. Our two girls slept in the parlour which worked perfectly - leaving us in the four poster bed. This is a very romantic, charming hotel - the furnishings and fittings are beautiful. But the key for us was that it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The first day we were collected by tour company Les Rives to take us by boat to the Chi Chi Tunnels – this was perfect because they could simply collect us and drop us back at the hotel’s private pier. The restaurant is fabulous – a beautiful al fresco location for dinner and breakfast. "
