The food and service are both excellent!! The dishes come across as light and flavorful without over powering your tastebuds. Price is also not too bad although the portions are a bit small for a big eater like me

"I had asked the concierge at my hotel for a recommendation of Thai cuisine without being spicy. Le Du did deliver exactly that. The menu came in three parts, a la carte, four course tasting menu or 6 course tasting menu with an optional wine pairing. I opted for the latter. The food was excellent and ranged from flowers and vegetables via seafood and fish to meat and poultry. The arrival experience was a bit surprising as the ground floor of the restaurant was undergoing renovation and access was via a side door and the emergency staircase which gave way to a nicely

"We went to Le Du last night and had a wonderful dinner. Everything was great: food was delicious, very creative, marrying perfectly the modern cuisine with a Thai touch. The chef also put an accent on using sustainable products. The wine list is very complete with lots of ""bio"" wine, probably a personal selection from the chef/sommelier, the price is very reasonable. The service was dynamic, friendly though precise and professional with staff speaking very good English. The young talented chef had successfully ""imported"" the modern fine dining concept from USA to Bangkok and made of Le Du unmissable on

"I read an article about Le Du and was intrigued by its promise of elevating Thai style food. I have been in Thailand for several weeks and have enjoyed the food but not been blown away by anything that I have not tried before until tonight. We elected the 6 course tasting menu. This is really a bit more than expected because there is an amuse bouche and a fruit plate that is not listed. Server was Erica who was warm, attentive and knowledgeable. The dishes range from sea bass, river prawn, aged beef, pork jowls and a sustainable fish.

I love tasting menus, and Le Du’s really stood out for me. While there are usually a dish or two that are just “good”, Le Du’s tasting was consistent throughout; excellent. There were a number of dishes I wished would not end! I loved Le Du, and hope to be back, and yes, it’s a little difficult to find.

"We finally made it to LeDu and were not disappointed. A modern minimalistic designed restaurant and categorizing its cuisine is a bit difficult. It could be defined as Young Creative Cuisine with Thai Roots blended with international flavors You have a choice of a la carte but we went for the tasting menu of 5 courses and loved it. The service staff is very friendly and explain every dish carefully- which sometimes is not easy describing the complex flavor combinations. Its really a unique & interesting dining experience and we will be back"

If you want to impress relatives, friends of your boss, make sure to book (in time) a table in this small restaurant. It is quite difficult to find (at the end of small alley Silom 7 take a left) and when you enter, you don't expect an experience you're about to get! The young chef and his team are serving fantastic dishes. We went for the 4-course dinner with wine pairing and were fascinated by both the presentation of the food as well as the quality & taste! Wines that were served (by the glass) matched the dish and so

"I was very impressed! And usually I’m not by most things fusion. But here you have some very regular Thai dishes that have been modified with a flair! Different, special, and high quality ingredients are incorporated, expect unusual and beautiful presentations yet many of the flavours are so true Thai originals, especially like the curries, here served as sauce/gravy. These flavours are distinctly Thai and have not been altered, and I find I difficult to get these typical flavours in most other Thai restaurants nowadays! We were a group of five so did get to try a large selection from the menu.

Tucked away a little the restaurant is in a side street in the bottom floor of an apartment building. Friendly staffed showed us in and made sure we got the menu's with 3 choices, A la carte, a fixed price 4 course menu choosing from the menu or the 6 course tasting menu. We choose the 6 course menu and enjoyed the journey through some amazing Thai dishes that had some modern touches or tastes. Each course allowed you to enjoy the Thai flavours but with a twist or addition. One of the best 'Thai' meals I have eaten. So

Glad we found this! We stumbled onto Le Du on our way to another restaurant where we had reservations. It looked so interesting we made a reservation for the following night. Choose options for each of the four courses. Each is creative and well prepared. A modern take on more tradtional thai ingrediants with a french influence. Each dish is complex and the server carefully explains what is being served and how it was prepared. They offer wine flights, go for it. Each wine was perfect with the food that it accompanied. Hard to have made better wine selections. A

"At least once a year we make our way here. We do that because the service is impeccable (no hovering but everything appears exactly when you need it). The food is inventive yet grounded. (Yes, there are things you might call ""molecular"" but they don't abuse it or make it silly) It reflects local culture in interesting ways. (Every year they introduce me to something in Thai cuisine I was completely unaware of. This always results in my seeking it out in street carts or local restaurants later. Khao Soi, Khao Chai. Moo Palo). The win list is brillliant. This is not cheap ( by

I went to Le Du after several excellent meals in Bangkok, which is a foodie heaven. i was blown away by the creativity and the unusual flavours. Le du offers a terrific changing set menu from which to choose. For starters, I had the shrimp-pork ball with jasmine ice cream, intense and succulent. Followed by an adventurous ant larvae-in-fish-fermented sauce - it was unusual in texture and flavour, memorable. Then an interesting chicken dish and a finger-licking dessert. The staff are young and enthusiastic, and the open kitchen provides some theatrics. Chef Ton, a young Thai, was personally supervising. All

Second highly rated restaurant of our weekend trip. This time recommended by a foodie friend. You have choice of 4-course or 6-course or la carte menu. We had the 4-course option which has three choices per course. Wifey and I chose different dishes so we ended tasting 8 dishes. Most of the dishes were yummy. So you'll have lots of options to enjoy a fine meal. Cheers.

Finally made it to Le Du last night, and it was amazing: we took the 6 course tasting menu, creating a long series of taste explosions in my mouth. Authentic Thai taste in a different, deconstructed form - like the short beef rib dressed as a Khao Soi (but without the soup), or the phenomenal river prawn with Chu Chi sauce (but not a curry). It's all very creative, well presented and served, by very nice and knowledgeable staff. Let's not forget the desserts, they are delicious and very creative, too. Nice wine list as well. Fantastic restaurant.

Over the last few years we have dined several times at Le Du. This time we took some friends there and again the fusion food was tasty with Thai flavors, imaginative and beautifully presented by friendly staff. We accompanied the dishes by a decently prized crispy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. For me this restaurant is star quality even though the recently published Michelin guide of Bangkok restaurants did not give them this rating.

"Food at Le Du was quite exquisite. A simple menu with about 12 dishes in total spread across 4 courses. Each course has 3 dishes and you select each one for each of the 4 courses. The wine menu is extensive with reds from Portugal an interesting selection. Fusing modern French culinary dining with a Thai twist by adding subtle flavors of Thailand really made the dishes unique and stand out. I generally find Thai food too overbearing sometimes being too sweet, too salty, or both on most occasions. Even the top ranked restaurants like Nahm the food is horrendously salty

Anyone looking for exciting takes on classics, sustainable ingredients cooked with passion in a welcoming environment (and healthy glasses of wine paired) you really can't fault the place! Keep up the great work guys!!"

"The restaurant space is clean, comfortable and a bit minimalist in design. The food is creative an superb. We like to select wines that do not typically appear on wine lists and we chose a glass of Cremant de Jura to start. Dishes of note included large river prawns with pork belly jam and shrimp paste, an incredible sous-vide pork jawl and an aged beef tenderloin. We finshed by sharing a duck egg custard with rice powder. All presented as creative interpetations and generally suggestive Thai flavors. Chef Ton oversees all and appeared to inspect every dish before they went to the

"This place is an absolute must. Chef Ton is a magician, he gave me 3 types of watermelon as an amuse bouche. I tasted sea bass with lime snow( Devine) There were oyster sabayons, pickled gourd, river prawns and everything was cooked with a light modern touch and confidence. The service was smooth, and slick.Every dish and wine was fully explained. The decor is minimal, the location is down a small alley next door to namsooth bottling plant. The booking was done via Mr Tao who squeezed us in. Many thanks to the entire team . I will return"

We dined at Le Du in Feb 2017, a modern Thai gastro restaurant with a twist. We selected the four course menu with inventive, tasteful dishes where western textures are fusioned with Thai flavors. Examples are the river prawns with egg and chu-chee curry or the mango panna cotta with passion fruit and smoked coconut icecream. A decently prized wine list completes the gastro experience. The place is popular, thus crowded with poor acoustics i.e. too noisy for a normal conversation. I was told management is working on a solution.

A great dining experience with a good degustation menu - a unique Thai-influenced menu with great wine pairings. Sadly located in a hidden back lane in the city. I had trouble trying to locate the place and found my way walking there a little unsafe.

Came here second time. The food was still great. In here you would expect the food with the size and the food decoration of a michelin star restaurant but still taste like thai food. Something fusion but not at all. The menu was very simple but it will never disappoint you. Every dishes is tasty. However the dessert was just normal.

"We went for dinner, arriving just after opening time, with no reservation. We were lucky and got a table, but virtually all the other tables were reserved! The setting was simple but very comfortable. The service was excellent. We were very impressed by each of the dishes which had strong Thai flavors fused with Western themes. There was an excellent wine list at reasonable prices. An excellent restaurant."

"I managed to get a reservation here during a recent business trip to Bangkok. The restaurant was also incredibly accommodating to my schedule as I wasn't sure when I was going to land and get through the airport so I booked it for late, but they were willing to let me arrive earlier than my reservation. The restaurant is small and intimate though the tables were quite spread out so one could still have some privacy during dinner. Most of the patrons though were foreigners though one thai couple did come in during the night. The chef could be seen
