Tugu Bali: "Astounding"

Review by: Josh M | Source: tripadvisor.com
First off this hotel is magical in every way visually, ultimate Bali. What your dream version of Bali might be before you ever come here. Ever room is massive and filled with real art. But the grounds are the real gem here. If at all possible the Le Mayeur suite is one of the most astounding rooms I've ever seen in any suite on the entire planet. And for the price of a good hotel room in most places the suite is beyond worthy particular if your looking for something romantic. Good service as well! Highly highly highly recommended.

The Hue House: "Possibly best meal in Vietnam"

Review by: Dominique D | Source: Trip Advisor
Came here on our last night in Vietnam. Hidden gem: the restaurant was a bit hard to find. Didn't quite realise it was a rooftop restaurant, the building it is in looks like an office building and there was no signage at the bottom of the building and cafes next door did not know the place either. Anyways, we found it and were incredibly impressed. All dishes were really good, had a mix of noodle and rice dishes and appetisers, lots of flavour, beautiful tastes. If I'd have to call out one dish: rice pancakes w shrimp were fantastic. Possibly the best meal we have had in our fortnight in Vietnam.

The Island Lodge: "Great homestay"

Locavore: "A “must” dining experience"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I went to Lacovore for lunch to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary and were very glad we did, it was one of the best dining experiences we have had anywhere. The booking process is very professional with follow up emails about what to expect, dress standards and how long the booking will be held for should guests be late. I have a food allergy and this was also followed up and discussed when we arrived. We chose the 7 course degustation menu, my husband the meat option and myself the vegetarian. However there were 4 appetisers before the first listed course and a pre and post dessert appetiser providing 13 courses in total. By the end we were full but the course sizes were such that we weren't unpleasantly so. Each dish was described when it arrived and all used ingredients local to the area, Bali and Indonesia. The cocktails also utilised local ingredients. Every dish had the perfect balance of flavours and textures and was beautifully presented. The waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive, friendly and professional. While it is not a cheap dining experience it is a highly recommended one. Book early however to ensure a booking, even for lunch. Dinner is often booked out weeks in advance.

Misool Eco Resort: "Simply splendid"

Review by: wix93 | Source: tripadvisor.com
Torn as to whether to share info about this place, or keep it a secret. Stayed here in April-2014 with my partner, in water cottage number 5. The location is spectacular and the resort is just lovely. Decent food (excellent wines), high end facilities, and wonderful/friendly staff. It is truly impressive to see what the owners have accomplished here, up to and including the engagement of local stakeholders/residences to make this place part of the local community. Oh, and the diving is truly high-end... Diving is second-best ever, following Sipadan, but all in, this place was a notch above. This, and Auberge du Manoir in Chamonix France, are the only places I/we intend to revisit. Congratulations to the owners, on an impressive undertaking.

Maison Polanka: "Hidden Garden Gem with classic French Charm"

Review by: Martyn B | Source: Trip Advisor
"Greeted at Siam Reap airport by Frances, a very pleasant young man from Masion Polanka private Villas, the chauffeur van waiting, was very comfortable and spacious. Being whisked away through the pleasant Cambodian countryside, arriving at Maison Polanka where a large security gate opened up the most tranquil garden tucked away within 5 minutes of Siam Reap town. We strolled through to reception, a cabana located by the large enticing pool, being greeted by local staff with refreshing hand towels and a long cool drink. Nothing was too much trouble for them, we were given Khmer House a stand-alone elevated original colonial home relocated some years ago to this site, that complemented the master house with its four self-contained luxury rooms. Our stay was magical, the food memorable, the decor was elegant and traditional, with a simple and personal touch from Nathalie (the owner) adding a splash of colour to each room is unique in its creation, Nathalie selects these from her collection of fabric designs out of her stores. We took cooking classes with Maison's Chef and relaxing massages on site, along with local tours to Ankor Wat and many other historic sites. Arriving back for afternoon tea by the pool every day at 3 Pm with freshly baked treats from the kitchen. Maison Polanka fulfilled every expectation of a luxurious holiday and more, we felt very special. Thank you so much for sharing your small space in paradise, we were so sad to have to move on continuing our holiday in Cambodia."

Amata Lanna: "unparalleled service"

Review by: alexxy s | Source: Trip Advisor
All I can say is WOW. From the moment we walked in the door we were surrounded with compassion and hospitality. The staff all went above and beyond to make us feel like Queens and Kings. The rooms are simply amazing. The entire establishment is so well taken care of and clean. The front desk, especially Rebekah, went above and beyond in helping to schedule dinner reservations and services. They made everything so easy. It was so quiet and peaceful, sometimes it felt like we were the only ones there.Breakfast was always incredible.Within walking distance from the night market and several restaurants, it was the perfect location. I could go on and on about the staff and establishment, but I will just leave it at this...... Don't hesitate to stay here, it really is as wonderful as the pictures look
