Reverie Siam: "Wonderful and fairy tale like oases just outside PAI city center"
reverie Siam lies just ouside Pai, the distance is perfect. Quit, but close to the village. You enter a place with a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful designed rooms/villa's. There are two big (salt) swimming pools. Everything is thought of in this resort. The fruit snacks when you are at the pool, a thai telephone to loan when you are going to town and the list goes on. The WIFI connection is fast (10mb) The a la cart breakfast is very nice, a wide variety of choices. What is best, is the staff. Never We encountered staff in thailand who are so engaged with the wellbeing of the resort en their guests. "Recently spent 4 nights at the Satri House and can't say enough good things about this place. Where to begin: 1. Property is gorgeous. Because few rooms, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. And the pool is set in a magical setting 2. Rooms our spacious and very clean 3. Free access to bikes and loved riding into town everyday 4. Great breakfast 5. Lovely staff. Helped us organize tours in Luang Prabang. Must go to waterfall and Mekong river cruise. "Beautiful villas, fronting on the sea. A very full diving program, but also wonderful coral readily accessible to snorkelers. A smooth sandy beach great for beginning swimmers and a short walk or boat ride from the main area- some villas near the sandy beach, if you prefer that. Pluses - Perfect in almost every way. Beautiful property. Lovely staff. The deluxe room was gorgeous & the attached balcony was a charming addition to the space. We tried the spa - that was very good too, both facial & the relaxing oil massage. For breakfast, even if you're not a noodle lover, do try the chicken noodle soup. It's delicious! And a great way to start the day, either before a day at the temples or after the dawn pilgrimage of watching the monks' procession. A nice 10-15min leisurely stroll to the town centre. Complimentary bicycles provided if you want to ride. Oh, and look out for the elephant in the open enclosure across the street from the property!Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Great Experience!"
"I visited LeDU restaurant many times and just love it! The dishes that Chef Ton and his crew are serving are just amazing.......every dish is a composition of many elements and it is always a great Experience to taste them. I went there alone, with partner, with friends and also in groups and everyone was always amazed by this excellent food. "Het is een groot hotel. Een groot deel wordt enkel gebruikt bij feestjes/evenementen. Leuk en mooi om eens door te lopen. Het hotel heeft een zwembad om even kort af te koelen. We were seated at the chef's table got to watch The Kitchen Magic. One of my favorite all-time meals treated to a 10 course dining experience, the service was great and the dining with Windows overlooking the gardens you're breathtaking. The best location in old Pingyao. The hotel is a quiet oasis in the heart of Pingyao. It's rooms are well appointed and very clean and tidy. The hotel facilities are well laid out with a lovely restaurant, bar, spa and quiet reading areas. Its sensitive use of the ancient architecture is a pleasure to relax in, either inside or outside in one of the quiet courtyards. The staff are always there when you need help, but never intrusive or overly attentive. The style is friendly and welcoming. """The Blue Mansion"" was built by a very wealthy Chinese businessman in the late 19th / early 20th century, Cheong Fact Tze himself. There is a wealth of information about the house on hand, including a small interpretive display and guided tours. The house was restored by heritage architects over 5 or 6 years in the 1990's when it was in danger of being torn down. The small courtyards are a great place to lounge and soak up the atmosphere. Location is good - nearby Chinatown and the waterfront. Staff were very helpful and I was regularly given a friendly greeting by Shiro at the reception desk. There is a food court next door which makes a bit of noise at night but it didn't bother me much. Stayed December 2016, traveled solo"David’s Kitchen: "In a league of its own"
"My title says all! I simply cannot speak highly enough of David's Kitchen, this is a MUST do in Chiang Mai. My partner and I ordered the set menu to celebrate my 30th birthday. This allowed us to try Davids most signature dishes and we weren't disappointed!! The food, service and personal touches were absolutely splendid. Many reviews note their personal experience with David, and yes this is fabulous but I would also like to mention the amazing unity the entire team have to ensure your experience is like none other. I only wish there were most restaurants like this in the world!"
