Locavore: "Simply amazing."

Review by: KatInShanghai | Source: Trip Advisor
We made a specific trip to Locavore after being recommended by a few friends to make sure to visit. We had the set 7 courses but you get even more than is listed on the menu! Each course had an ingredient we had not heard or tasted before, which made the experience even more special. Each course was mind blowing. Food, staff and service was amazing. Would definitely visit again! Make sure to book in advance!

Villa Song: "Villa Song Excels"

Review by: Murray Y | Source: Trip Advisor
It is not at all surprising that former patrons of Villa Song are so enthusiastic about this boutique hotel. It is located in a quiet part of Saigon and has river frontage. The hotel is very well appointed, with friendly staff and very good food. A private (free) water taxi can quickly take you to the heart of Saigon thus avoiding the crazy city traffic. The rooms are large and our bed was very comfortable. My only concern was the steep spiral stair case to the top (3rd) floor bedrooms. This can be a bit of a challenge with those with knee/hip issues, as there is no lift. Do not miss the large swimming pool that is located at the rear of the hotel. If you are wanting a boutique quality hotel in Saigon, then this is it.

Misool Eco Resort: "Most incredible scuba diving"

Review by: Nigel H | Source: Trip Advisor
"Where to start!!! Misool is truly unique! You arrive on a fast launch, to a wonderful tropical island, you are greeted on the jetty by all the waving friend staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The island is set up wonderfully for scuba divers, fully equipped dive centre with nitrox that is free to qualified divers, you can hire equipment or take your own. A dedicated area is available for you to work on your camera equipment. You could do 4 dives a day if you wish too. Dive sites are accessed by fast boats, many sites are only 15 minutes away or less. All dive sites are wonderful! The corals are in pristine condition from down deep right to the surface. The fish life in variety and quantity is truly amazing! The Maldives 35 years ago was fantastic, Misool today even beats that NOW!!!! Why? The team at Misool and their wonderful Rangers and their Charity have a huge No Take zone and this is paramount in protecting the area. You can stay in a very comfortable water bungalow, near the dive centre and restaurant or you can stay in a very secluded bungalows on the south beach. These are accessed by steep steps up and down over the hill. A boat taxi is available at certain tide states. Meals are extremely healthy using lots of local ingredients. I found that for me the strong Indonesian influence was not always to my taste. It is hard to fault Misool! I consider a stay there is A TRIP of a LIFE TIME !!! May Misool go from strength to strength!!!! Stayed February 2017, traveled solo"

Villa Song Saigon: "Great Boutique Hotel in Saigon"

Review by: Bil1965 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stayed here last week for one nigh on way home and we will absolutely be back. It was great relaxing change compared the the larger hotels as you'd expect from a boutique property. We arrived, checking in and heading for the bar overlooking the river. Service is great and staff very friendly. We booked a table in the restaurant and decided to stay there the evening. The food was very, very good. The following morning we had a great breakfast sitting overlooking the river and my wife then headed to the spa for a very well priced treatment. I took the hotel bus into town. I great stay, but you pay the going rate for that extra privacy and environment. I would add though that the Hotel boat isn't running at the moment and won't be for some time are the local administration are doing extensive works at the landing site. I can now understand why they have a boat because getting into town takes a while dependant on traffic. Not the hotels fault, and what else can they do. I didn't go anywhere around the hotel but it seems it is in an area with lots of Schools and upmarket property. Seemed to be lost of nice eating places etc nearby."

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Relaxing"

Review by: JAWSBE01 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This hotel is excellent, I will certainly return. From the pick up at the airport, tea on route and the well appointed rooms I really can't fault it, the views from anywhere in the hotel are breathtaking, the food, although limited in choice is excellent, if you like walking and enjoy peace and quite this would be a great choice, additionaly the tea plantation and working factory are a great visit. Room Tip: A room with walk in shower is a good choice"

Flower Island: "Absolutely Amazing"

Review by: Romatron | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and I came to flower island as part of our honeymoon. This is an absolute MUST! It is honestly a once in a life time experience. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot, especially through Asia, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Phillippines. I have also stayed in places like Bora Bora. flower island still amazed me and took my breath away. You are on your own secluded island with only a hand full of guests. You stay in a tree house like accommodation- my husband and I felt like Tarzan andJane! You are surrounded by beauty and it is the most relaxing experience. The staff on the island are so friendly. It is very relaxed, and some people may like that 5 star 'being doted on hand and foot' style of service, but this place is so easy going and care free. The service is genuine and kind. Please remember, they lead an island life style, and it is relaxed. There is a bar and a beautiful, earthy restaurant where all your meals are catered for. Nice home cooked meals. I would recommend you get to the dining area as soon as the meal time begins to avoid the food cooling, as it's a buffet style. Also, as my husband and I swam and kayaked all day, we were a little hungry between meals, so we would recommend you bring some of your own snacks. Also, as it's a place that respects and is in touch with nature, expect some small visitors (like bugs etc) to your room, so maybe bring bug spray to deter mosquitos, and I would recommend a torch. I would also recommend a room with air conditioning as it can get a little steamy. We had this style room and it was comfortable. I would also highly recommend the pearl farm tour. Whilst the tour was interesting, the place where they take you to snorkel is amazing and essentially untouched as the area is highly protected. Most of the coral we saw on previously in our el Nido island hopping tours was dead, but this snorkel spot is just breath taking. The best I have ever seen! On the island as well there is a light house, which you can stay in for no extra charge- a great experience for those who are a Little more adventurous! You can walk to the top of the light house and are presented with a 360 degree view! Amazing. Such a wonderful place that offers priceless views and the most relaxing time away. It is worth the slightly expensive transfers in (van and boat ride) but the speed boat ride itself is exciting- we felt like James Bond on our way in! Very classy and a great entrance! One of my favorites spots I have been to so far in all my travels. Such a beauty and one of a kind. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Glenburn Tea Estate: "A hidden gem not to be missed!"

Review by: KatieSillett | Source: Trip Advisor
A stay at the Glenburn tea estate is a truly unforgettable experience and we loved every minute of it. Whichever way you look from the delightful gardens or from either of the beautiful bungalows there is a wonderful vista, even when the mountains are shrouded in mist. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not at its best when we stayed in late March/early April, but we were lucky enough to be there for 5 nights and so we at least had 2 fabulous mornings when we were treated to the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range from the comfort of our room. Our room (Camelia) was fabulously spacious and beautifully decorated in English country house style with a lovely seating area, and French doors onto a small balcony with magnificent views. The bathroom was enormous with roll top bath and huge walk in shower. We did not see any of the other rooms but all other guests seemed just as impressed with theirs, and we gather the views are wonderful from each and every room. The food was delicious with an imaginative and varied menu and, despite initial reservations, we really rather enjoyed the communal dining in the evening. It was very interesting to meet such a variety of people from all over the world. I think perhaps my husband was a little bored on the last evening being the only man at a dining table full of rather verbose women! There was plenty to keep us amused during our 5 night stay with a visit to the tea factory, walks around the estate looking at the flowers, birds and butterflies, a lovely (though quite tiring) hike to the river camp with a tasty meal when we arrived, and a day trip into Darjeeling. We could have done a lot more but, after the hustle and bustle of Kolkata, and because the gardens were so idyllic, we relished in the opportunity to relax, reading, chatting, playing cards and drinking plenty of Glenburn First Flush tea! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and hats off to the multi-talented Nilima and Luna for being such lovely and well-informed guides, but also for running the shop and helping with the organisation of the staff welfare programme, amongst a multitude of other skills. A very big thank you to Jemima, Holly and all the staff for a truly memorable and delightful stay........ We hope we will return one day.

Mie Cafe: "Excellent food and service"

Review by: ChristineBindert | Source: Trip Advisor
Excellent food and service in this small cambodian restaurant. Second best in Siem Reap after the Cuisine Wat Damnak. The food is very good with fresh ingredients and the atmophere great, open kitchen, New York style. Reservations needed. Very close ( walking distance) to the Sofitel hotel. Portion are normal by european standards.

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Beautiful Hotel"

Review by: nigelwelch | Source: tripadvison.com
"We had a great stay here. The best bed we have ever had in a hotel.A lovely tranquil place on the river. Very friendly staff, nice rooms and public areas. Excellent breakfast and dinner. In district 2 about 30 mins from the centre of town. Regular free boat service in to town. A perfect place to stay just a little way from a very busy, noisy and bustling city. Would love to go back "
