Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Enchanting stay"
"The Blue Mansion is a beautiful historic building with so much charm, the room had so many thoughtful touches from under bed lighting and bathroom lighting to a basket to take to the pool. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is the best in Penang and the quality of wine excellent. Breakfast was good and the tour of the property is worth doing. Located in the heritage area of Penang it is on the door step to little India and China town. A must do when visiting Penang!"Tugu Malang: "Truely Colonial"
"Tugu Hotel is an icon in Malang, East Java province, and most likely it's the best hotel in town. It has all the facilities of a 5-star hotel, bar, restaurant, swimming pool to identify some. The environment is very lush and greenish, a plus point. It's also centrally located in the heart of the city, yet another plus point. The room is neatly arranged, cozy, and clean, equipped with a tea table, fantastic.. Afternoon tea is served between 4 - 6 pm, free of charge. The staffers are warm and forthcoming, another plus point. Over all rating is 5/5."Villa Mathis: "un hôtel pleins de magie"
Misool: "Probably my best Dive Holiday!!!"
"Misool Eco Resort combines the best parts of conservation, sustainability, diving and watersports in a laidback luxury style. The food was always delicious and care is taken to not waste food by preordering meals. Fresh and local ingredients are used. No plastic bottles or packaged products are used on the island and ocean-friendly toiletries are available in the villas. At the same time the attention and friendliness of all staff and the beautiful setup create a 5star experience. The diving sites are some of the best in the world and care is taken that the dive groups stay small and there is never many divers at the same time on one divesite. Sue, Mark and Sabine (the managers and head of watersports) are friendly, fun and very knowledgeable and take time to get to know each guest to ensure everyone can make the most out of their stay! Thanks guys, I had an awesome time!!"Inle Princess Resort: "Perfect"
"We can entirely recommend this resort - in fact I can't think of a single criticism (except that wifi could be better, but that is true of everywhere in Myanmar. Give it time) The setting is lovely - the hotel insists that all boats arrive rowed with their motors off to keep the tranquility, which also means there is lovely bird life to observe. Food is delicious - and you can see their carefully tended organic vegetable garden. There are lots of little touches that make a difference - the personal welcome note on handmade paper, the mosquito repellant at dinner, the bikes, the little appetiser at dinner.... They say they are conscious of conservation and we saw evidence of that. plus the staff here seem genuinely happy Genuinely recommend."Labyrinth: "An amazing culinary experience"
"Restaurant Labyrinth got a one-Michelin star in Singapore. As most people do not know what these stars mean, they would naturally associate it to taste and taste alone. Ambience: Comfortable and intimate setting. Tables are well-spaced out for privacy between customers. The size of the table is sufficient for the restaurant's style of service a couple of dishes at a time. Dining cutlery has a nice weight and feel to it, making the dining experience feel more posh. Drink glasses are clean and spotless. The lights are not positioned to the table (purpose-built) hence you have some tables that are more lighted on one end but poorly lit on the other. Moving forward, it would be great if they can get lighting consultant instead of regular general interior designers. Food: Having been to two 3-Michelin, three 2-Michelin and a few 1-Michelin starred restaurants, I would rate the taste as excellent. In fact, the culinary style of food is similar to The Fat Duck by Heston Blumenthal (Bray, England), where it is more of a culinary wonderland than anything else. These types of restaurants let you discover taste experiences that are out of this world. They play not only with flavours, but also texture and temperature. Honestly, I would rate the food at Restaurant Labyrinth better in terms of taste. It is amazing how they made the ""chilli crab"" taste exactly the way it should taste but appearing like the a crab on sand, with cold ice-cream. Your mind will be blown away as your brain juggles the totally new experience to a very familiar taste. Imagine that experience, multiply that with the number of dishes as each course will give you a new perspective. It is such a delight. Service: This is where they lacked a lot. One thing 3-Michelin starred restaurants have in common, the service team makes you feel as though you are the VIP of the day. It is amazing how they manage to do it every single time. Despite having other tables, the staff to diner ratio is amazing. The staff at Restaurant Labyrinth is friendly and warm, but it is not too easy to get their attention as they are busy with other diners. They had to be more reactive (instead of proactive) because they are tied down with other tasks that are ongoing at the same time. Overall: From my dining experience at Restaurant Labyrinth, I would have given them 2-Michelin stars as they were not just ""the best in their category"", but they were ""excellent and worth a detour"". I hope they work on the staffing, the service level and lighting to improve the experience. The food is simply amazing and it is really worth your money and detour (if that applies to you)."Maison Polanka: "Totally great"
We were bowled over by our stay at Hotel Polanka. The staff are unfailingly helpful - and go out of their way to provide the little touches that makes the hotel feel sooo luxurious. Would 100% recommend it - it's a 10 minute bike ride to town (bikes provided) or tuk tuk about the same. 20-25 minutes to the temples. 20-25 mins to the airport. All incredibly easy and beautifully done. Thank you!Sandat Glamping Tents: "Special place to stay"
"This place really lives up to the Glamorous-Camping expectation. The resort stands out beautifully in the sea of rice fields. Once inside, the decor is stunning. Room are very comfortable but still manages to make you feel like part of nature. Bed and pillows were a bit hard but turned out to be just as comfortable in the end. Breakfast was good but limited. Understandable that they do not provide a big buffet spread as the resort only has 8-9 villas. Service is exceptional. Staff really pamper you and go out of their way to make your stay better. Made (from front office) helped to research for places to watch kecak dance around ubud town when I mentioned that I was interested. Special mention also goes out to the drivers Buda Yaso and the older one with a moustache (sorry I didn't get your name). The resort owner Frederick was also attentive and friendly, yet gave us our personal space. Truly a recommended place to stay if you are looking for a special holiday."Maison Polanka: "It’s even more beautiful the 2nd time around"
I consider this my home in Siem Reap. Everything about this place is pure magic. From the whole ambiance and the garden, the rooms, the pool, and most of all the restaurant, everything is simply exquisite! The owner Nathalie is a sweetheart, her and her staff are one of the warmest people you will ever meet there in Siem Reap. They arrange trips for you and make sure you are taken cared of even if you are outside the premises. I love love love love Maison Polanka, I'm so grateful to have been there.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "A fantastic family experience. Thank you Leopard Safaris!"
This was brilliant. It was just 2 nights out of a long trip for our family but definitely one of the absolute highlights. We are a family of 4 with a 13 year old girl and 17 year old boy and we all loved everything about the camp and the game drives. Jeeps were perfect for game viewing and small enough that it was just our family in the jeep with a driver and a guide. We went on 4 game drives and saw heaps - leopard on 2 occasions, crocs, lots of elephant, eagles and so much more. They took us to the uncrowded blocks of the reserve, so you weren't fighting against lots of other jeeps to get to see the animals. It felt very personal, and different. The camp and tents were fab - all the mod cons and very comfortable whilst still giving a feeling of being out in the bush. We had been worried about being a bit bored in the middle of the day but the the game drives take up a large part of the time and the day just flew by. The new swimming pool will be a great addition. All the guides were superb - a fantastic family experience. Thank you Leopard Safaris
