Villa Song Saigon: "Oasis"

Review by: JohannaEmmaSofia | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel is a good choice if you wish to spend some time relaxing at the hotel. The location is not near the main sights but they are an easy taxi ride away, so we didn't find this a problem. If you enjoy cute and chic boutique hotels this is a good choice in saigon. The restaurant has spectacular view of the river. The breakfast was superb.

Mathis Retreat: "Un petit coin de paradis"

Review by: DominiqueVK | Source: Trip Advisor
This small hotel of 21-22 rooms represents everything we were looking for: quiet, successful aesthetic of the hotel and rooms, friendly staff and very caring and above all a magnificent swimming pool and views of the rice fields of your dreams! The hotel is about 2-3 km from the inner city of Ubud. As we drove our rental car, it was not a problem for us but once we went walking through rice fields and villages. Enchanting! Karine, the hotel manager is Belgian and Liege, like me 😉 She came every day during breakfast to greet and see if she could help / advise. Very nice, affable and smiling, just the right person! We highly recommend this hotel.

The River Resort: "Magnificent"

Review by: David H | Source: Trip Advisor
We had booked a garden view room but when we arrived there were few people staying and we were upgraded at no cost to a River Front room. The room was very nice with a lovely outlook over the river. We enjoyed the infinity swimming pools and the natural landscaping of the resort. All staff were extremely helpful and polite. The restaurant served excellent meals including breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and extended. Everything is very clean. Highly recommended.

satrin house: "Beautiful quiet hotel"

Review by: wards885 | Source: tripadvison.com
"Our plane arrival was two hours late and Satri House was there to pick us up on arrival. The service was kind, friendly, and gracious throughout our stay. Navi, the guest services manager was present to offer dining suggestions and answer any questions we might have. All of the staff were excellent. The hotel is arranged in beautiful gardens and pools around a Lao prince's residence. The furnishings and interiors are antiques and one of a kind art pieces. It is almost like staying in an art museum. The impressions are fantastic. The food in the dining room was excellent. We had dinner twice and breakfast every morning. It is good value for money. We used the hotel bicycles to go sight seeing which was fun. It was overall a wonderful experience. We stayed in room 622 which was large, artfully arranged, and quiet, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan which we loved. "

Locavore: "Michelin worthy!!"

Review by: Jonathan A | Source: Trip Advisor
"Wow I came to Locavore with my girlfriend on an evening were the the rain was truly pouring and we were drenched as we walked in. My girlfriend and I had the tasting menu which was outstanding. The staff knew every aspect of each dish and I hope the chef gets the staff to taste the dishes because their knowledge seemed that they had as the waitresses and waiters really did know their stuff. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Good attention to detail. Great tasting food If this restaurant was in Paris or London it would have cost near £300, however with it being in Bali it was just over £100. Great value for such good quality. Great evening and recommend to anyone to go to Locavore"

Inle Princess Resort: "Remains charming"

Review by: Peter T | Source: Trip Advisor
"Love this hotel. Its unique and peaceful situation with lovely rooms/bungalows and its impressive and helpful staff makes this the ideal place to explore the lake and its surrounding villages and temples. One of the best places to stay in Myanmar. Food is good too. Breakfast and dinner looking over the inlet is as good as it gets. Our fourth stay here."

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Tents with style"

Review by: ronnieredneck | Source: tripadvisor.com
We arrives here after a very long drive fro Phnom Penh and how unusual was it? Reception and booking in twenty minutes by boat from the actual hotel ---bliss. Lovely setting in a river that is just magical with staff mostly from the local village being trained up -- loved it. Rooms are posh tents and are comfortable quiet and well equipped. Our welcome was warm and personal and without exception the staff were efficient professional friendly and eager to please. We took the trip to the waterfalls and spent a very pleasant few hours swimming kayaking and generally enjoying the sights of the area. Our guide was superb and made the trip really enjoyable and memorable. Kayaking the best part of half a mile down the river whilst our guide took piccies was really good fun. Thanks to everyone involved in this worthwhile project in a stunning setting

Maduzi Hotel: "A hidden gem of a hotel in Bangkok"

Review by: Busqueezo | Source: Trip Advisor
Wow! This is the second time we've stayed at the Maduzi Hotel on Soi 16 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. Our room was spacious, huge larger than king sized COMFORTABLE bed, work area for laptop and fax messages, included (free) non-alcohol beverages and snacks in fridge, plenty of amenities in bathroom, including an unusual jacuzzi tub (2 can fit....). Very close to Asoke SkyTrain elevated train(BTS) and MRT underground subway stations. Close to shopping at Terminal 21 Shopping Center, close to Soi Cowboy for go go bars, and the Argentine Steak House is a 10 minute walk....Outstanding. The cost...you ain't gonna believe it. A tremendous value compared to any of the big name hotels along Sukhumvit Road. Contact the hotel directly on their website - and initiate an e-mail to them to find out what deals are available. OUTSTANDING. (Please: the hotel has CNN in the Lobby, but not in the room - Al Jazzeeria and BBC are in the room) - although there is a Bose radio and dvd player, neither that player or the t.v. had an accessible USB or HDMI port to plug in your content from a laptop or external hard drive or smart phone. This needs to be addressed, but does not distract greatly from this room.

The Island Lodge: "A quaint oasis in the Mekong Delta"

Review by: pdbecker | Source: Trip Advisor
We booked to stay at The Island Lodge for 4 nights in May 2016. After travelling through Vietnam from Hanoi and the North, and steadily heading south, we spent a couple of days in Saigon before going to the Mekong. Michel kindly arranged transfers for us from Saigon well before we left for our trip, and all went to plan. We drove down but you can get there by boat as well. It was just the perfect relax-a vous place after the hectic touring of cities. Our room overlooking the pool was excellent, and the staff were lovely, and tree so hard to please us, even though their English was not perfect- however much more perfect than our Vietnamese! It's a charming small resort, and we went on a personal tour with Michel on bikes along some amazing tracks we'd never find on our own, for around 3 hours, on the Ferry and through little villages with everyone saying hello along the way. It was a really unique and bespoke tour and Michel was the perfect host along the way. Food was great and we couldn't have been better looked after. If you are into small hotels which are well run, but offer something deferent to the big internationals, you'll love this place. It only has 12 rooms, so that'll give you an idea of how boutique it is.

Maduzi Hotel: "Worth the experience at Maduzi"

Review by: christinachea | Source: Trip Advisor
"Everything here is excellent! Service is very good. Although some of the young staffs do not speak much English but the senior lady in charge, who speaks good English tries her very best to help with enquiries. Food was great, served in a lovely dining area with relaxing ambience. It's worthwhile to add breakfast into your booking as you are allowed to order 2 dishes + 1 juice + 1 hot beverage. Although it's not buffet style here, the menu is great with seriously delicious French, Thai and Japanese cuisines. I love best the 'Avocado in 4 ways' and the Japanese salmon dish! It's a fresh change from buffet style breakfast in most hotels where one gets many choices of food but nothing really spectacular. The bar near reception serves complimentary drinks and everything in the mini bar of the room is also complimentary with personal coffee machine. There is a fantastic work station plus a luxurious recliner chair too which are so convenient. Bed is really huge, with super comfy sheets and ample big and normal sized pillows. Room is huge, decor is lovely with spacious dressing area + walk in wardrobe area. Only setback for the bed was the comforter which is not big enough for the bed, but it's a negligible issue. The bathroom is creatively designed with infinity jacuzzi bathtub. It's great for most guests but what is lacking here is a good strong shower. It's rain shower here with weak 'splayed out' flow that is not adjustable, and one can almost stay dry standing at the centre. There is no shower head at the jacuzzi bathtub. I had to shower using the strong flow of water coming from the ceiling meant to fill up the jacuzzi tub. Hope this problem will be looked into by the management as taking a strong satisfying shower is vital for some guests! Overall this place is awesome, location is good and prices are reasonable! "
