Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Wonderful stay!"

Review by: SailstarOrion | Source: tripadvisor.com
It's as though we walked on the the set of "Out of Africa" with all the period pieces. Great location, staff, room was neat, clean and spacious. It's off the beaten track but then again most of the great places are.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Superb safari"

Review by: dantwarner | Source: Trip Advisor
My family and I spent 3 nights recently at Noel’s camp and it was a fantastic experience. We saw no less than 4 leopard sightings, numerous elephants and lots of other species. Yala National Park is massive with a variety of terrain to keep things interesting. I would recommend going to the see the old Buddhist temple during your stay. The food at the camp was exceptional and the best local food we experienced during our trip. A few creepy crawlies around the tents, but don’t let that put you off. Our guide, Pasindu, was exceptional, informative and very friendly. The kids even got to plant their own tee , part of the sustainability programme at the camp. Thanks Noel to you and your team for a highly memorable experience! The Warner family (Shanghai)

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Blissful retreat"

Review by: TheExhibit | Source: Trip Advisor
Sandat is a hidden retreat on the outskirts of Ubud. The design is something very special, tents and lumbungs nestled in hidden away paddy fields and forests. The attention to detail on design is exceptional and the service is superb. We had a few problems with air conditioning but all was forgiven with how much effort the team went to to resolving the issues and making us comfortable. Truly magical and a must visit.

Villa Song Saigon: "A serene and lovely start to our holiday"

Review by: Joolsmd | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 3 nights at the beginning of our stay here. Its been said before but this place really does treat you like royalty. We arrived, tired and sticky from two very long flights, and were checked in quickly while sipping cold watermelon juice. Our luggage was whisked upstairs then so were we. We had a lovely large room with a veranda and a view of the Mekong. The first afternoon was spent by the pool, and we even had impeccable service there! We had breakfast included, and could eat as much as we wanted from the menu. They have an excellent selection of both western and Vietnamese breakfasts, so we sampled several during our stay. All delicious. We also appreciated the cocktail happy hour, as well as the free mini bar in the room. It was warm enough during our stay to eat and drink outside, but I noticed an interior dining space if required. The best thing is the boat shuttle service, which handily drops you down town and picks you up, all with no charge. This is an excellent feature as the hotel is a bit out of the main city area. The room was large, clean, and roomy, and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and towels. The staff were all lovely, and we even had the manager checking we were happy at one point. It really seemed nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to just relax without worrying about anything. Highly recommended! Stayed February 2017, traveled with friends"

Rahai’i Pangun: "A Major Highlight of my Borneo Adventure"

Review by: katblue | Source: Trip Advisor
"I went on a 4 day cruise up the Rungan River with Wow Borneo and had a wonderful time. The staff were outstanding, very warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was really healthy and tasty. The boat itself was open, airy and comfortable & I loved sitting on the top deck watching life on the river. My very comfortable double room had a private BR and a small private deck as well as air con/fan to keep cool. It was totally worth the slurge! We were fortunate to see a good variety of orangutans on the various pre-release islands on the Rungan River. It was a real privilege to see these beautiful creatures fairly close up in a natural setting. I feel hopeful that most will be fully released into the wild. Like the reviewer before me suggested, I'd recommend you go soon. There were lots of gold dredges on the river banks & the sad reality is that these small operations use mercury to extract the gold which is released into the river poisoning everything downstream. It makes me sad because this is precious habitat for the local people and of course the orangutans."

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "An amazing cultural experience"

Review by: Pennylee71 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I had the most amazing time. The Blue Mansion is a magnificent relic that has been beautifully restored. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in history and culture. The staff were super friendly and the tour guide provided so much information. The people who bought the Mansion and saved it from being torn down should be congratulated. Stayed January 2017, traveled solo"

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Barefoot-luxury at it’s finest!"

Review by: Lucas R | Source: Trip advisor
"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge is an intimate boutique hotel that values personalised experience, above all. It's an institution of tailored adventures and hospitality in Nepal. If only the walls at Tiger Mountain could speak, it'll be of stories within stories of individuals who have been and wrote countless books and tales about Nepal's beauty and serenity. Hands down, the best view from a hotel in Pokhara. Wake up for sunrise and encounter a parallel universe beyond anything you've ever imagined. Truly, a must experience. There is magic in this sanctuary of tranquility that is so healing; it brought me closer to nature, most of all, to myself. The food is exquisite, the simplicity of everything makes moments seem like a painting. If you are looking to book, don't think twice. Spend at least 3 days here, you can thank me later. The staff at TM are the best! It's like walking into a family. I didn't feel like a stranger, it didn't feel like a lodge at all. It was like coming home. Very best, Mr. Raven"

Tandjung Sari: "best place in Sanur"

Review by: Vleestomaat | Source: tripadvisor.com
"All the positive reviews are true. This is a very nice hotel. We had two large connecting rooms. Lots of privacy. The pool and the dining area is beautiful. The breakfast is amazing (beware for additional kilograms). OK, it is rather expensive, but comparing with other hotels next door (we stayed earlier in Respari and Taverna as well), it is worth it. The spot on the beach is great. Lots of restaurants and activity, while remaining the relaxed Sanur."

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A special place to stay on the Lake"

Review by: balloongirloz | Source: Trip Advisor
"The staff were very helpful and willing to please, we enjoyed being spoilt as there is only six rooms. We were fortunate to stay for two nights over Valentine's Day, we returned to our room after dinner to the room being filled with rose petals and hot water bottles in the bed. On our second night the staff baked a special birthday cake and all the staff came out to sing happy birthday to my husband. The bungalows are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The whole resort is a wonderful experience from the lovely food in the restaurant, the playful cat haven and kind and caring staff. Highly recommend for a special and memorable stay. Stayed February 2016, traveled as a couple"

Tugu Bali: "Bali Transcendent"

Review by: Bret M | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a wonderful hotel. The Tugu brand is well known in Indonesia for its sense and mix of history, local culture and design. Not to mention excellent food and understated but attentive service. This property has those attributes in spades. The Tugu Bali is perfect for people that like luxury and privacy and interesting, crusty surroundings - at a reasonable price I might add. Don't even think about staying here if you are into 5 stars and chrome and marble and buffet restaurants and big gyms and concierges that can get you into Mozaic or the Oasis Beach Club bikini parties on short notice - because you will hate it here. It is located, by the way, in Canggu, which was a sleepy place when the hotel opened, but is now the hippest area in Bali. Being surrounded by hip has its disadvantages, but also advantages - for example, the Tugu is opposite the best bar in Bali (possibly in Indonesia) and just down the road from one of the world's best seafood restaurants. Fortunately, Tugu guests are immune to the disadvantages (hipster crowds, beach clubs, bad restaurants, noise). The rooms here are oases - I know this is a cliche in hotel-speak, but it happens to be true in this case. In our room here, we were beautifully cocooned and felt entirely isolated from the rest of the world in the best possible way. Our small private garden and plunge pool were green and perfect. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. And I have never have thought of a bathroom as being sexy until I saw our bathroom in room 109. The common areas are also lovely. Big and spectacular in the case of the wood-pavilion-ed lobby, small and cool in the case of the pool, expansive and comfortable in the case of the beach-side garden. The service is great - the way I like it at least. Unobtrusive, but ever present. Bali is an ecosystem with deep wells of cultural fascination and mystery. If you want to immerse yourself in this Bali for a few days (not the boring Bali of Nusa Dua, or the Bali of cheap clothes and cheap beer and self-conscious bistro restaurants in Kuta and Seminyak), but not travel all the way to the north or east of the island, the Tugu Hotel is about the best compromise I know"
