Neeleshwar Hermitage: "lazy days"

Review by: martevans | Source: Trip Advisor
a superb resort on the Arabian sea with a private and pristine beach. Fantastic infinity pool and food to match. Staff friendly, accommodation spacious and clean, an ideal spot to wind down whilst travelling in Kerala. The Lotus houseboat "the best". Dining on the beach a highlight. Well done staff for making our stay perfect.

We stayed for 3 nights and were very pleased with the helpful and friendly staff. Our room was large and comfortable and the food excellent. The Hotel is within walking distance of the night market. We highly recommend Satri House.

Pindaya Farm House: "Locally run delight of a hotel."

Review by: lynnpreid123 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Clean, simple rooms in a wonderful location, this small family run hotel is a perfect place to stay. The best food in the whole of our time in Myanmar cooked by our hosts. They offer trekking outings with packed lunch and cookery demonstrations, a real gem. If you want local people to benefit directly from your trip this is the place to stay."

Jing’s Residence: "Why did we stay only one night?"

Review by: jcrane66 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Actually, the answer to the question in the title of this review is that we didn't have more time to spend on holiday. Our greatest mistake was not having two nights at this lovely hotel. Imam at reception was kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. The room was gorgeous and the courtyards of the hotel are lovely. The hotel is so quiet - it was the best night sleep we had the whole holiday! The breakfast was off a menu and the choices were both Chinese and Western. And both of our choices were delicious. We also decided to eat dinner at the hotel. It was ""upscale"" pricewise, but the food was excellent and well presented. We also were able to try some of the local dishes which we would have missed out on if we were just wandering the streets. We would recommend this hotel to anyone - and we hope that one day we will find ourselves back in the Jing Residence.... "

Reverie Siam: "Outstanding! Loved everything about it"

Review by: FlaviaPacheco | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Amazing service, big and quiet rooms, lots of green, great swimmingpools, beautiful decor, best restaurant in town, great price. This hotel is a hidden gem. They even offer local mobile phones for guests to take when going to town, so they can call the hotel for sending a driver to pick them up. I am 100% happy with this hotel. I highly recommend it."

Heritage Suites: "Simply the Best"

Review by: cirrus1 | Source: Trip Advisor
Spent three nights at the Heritage Suites Hotel in August 2017. From the moment you arrive you will not be disapointed!! We stayed in a Bungalow Suite which even has it's own steam room. The food is fantastic and is one of the best Restaurant in Siem Reap. We also did the ATV private bike tour, which was a little bit expensive. The Spa is also excellent and well worth a visit. However, what makes this Hotel is the Staff a true credit to the Hotel.....

muang la: "Most charming Xmas Eve ever"

Review by: mznw3 | Source: tripadvisor.com
We stayed in this absolutely beautiful small resort for two nights. We were fortunate that we had a short journey, having flown to the nearest town and been picked up by the resort's car and our guide. We thought the location absolutely stunning and the staff even more fabulous. Our trek into the hills on Christmas Eve could not have been better (even down to the picnic lunch we carried with us from the resort) and the Christmas Eve entertainment which ended with us lighting Chinese lanterns was just magic. Thanks to everyone at the resort who made our stay so very special.

Yandabo Home: "takes your breath away"

Review by: Sumeetbr | Source: Trip Advisor
"when u travel frequently and to many places, u become immune to surprises in hotels..and then something like the yandabo home comes your way..and just blows you away..the product is impeccable..in design, materials and extreme good taste..the location is exceptional..on a bend of a large river..the high roofs..the glass roof light in the shower...and the service and food are great..not to mention the enthusiasm with which the staff takes u around a remarkable remote village of skilled potters..ideal for what is increasingly rare in international travel..a look at the skills of artisans in a genuine surrounding.. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Secluded paradise"

Review by: 716-698-9768 | Source: Trip Advisor
"The resort is a collection of bungalows and a clubhouse built along a pristine stretch of the Andaman coast, along with a more protected bay for swimming (there's a great beach bar on this end). If you're arriving by sea (and not by jeep from the pier) the boat drops you off in the bay, and you wade through the water onto the beach, which sets the tone for the stay. Most of the baans are open air, as is the clubhouse, and you wake up and fall asleep to the sound of waves, the wind, crickets (or whatever the local variant), lizards, birds, and monkeys. Likewise, although the west-facing beach doesn't have any lounge chairs or umbrellas, we were often the only people sitting on our towels under the shade of palm trees, watching scuttling crabs and the receding tide. It truly is designed to bring you as close to nature as possible without actually camping on the beach. The people at the resort are all lovely - Massi, Duang, and all the folks who worked in the clubhouse and the bar are professional and friendly. A special thanks to P'Wam, the head chef, who gave me a great cooking class. The food is uniformly delicious, fresh, and varied a lot from day to day. We were there for four days and didn't see the same dish twice at dinner. Breakfast is plentiful. Everything, from the food to the drinks, was fairly priced and great value considering how difficult it must be to provision the place. A few things that might be helpful to know before going: The waves on the long stretch of beach are quite wild and we didn't find it possible to swim, but it's great for strolls and lying around. If you're going in peak season with kids, don't count on being able to hang out at that beach with them. The bay side was quiet when we were there (in mid December, we felt we had the run of the place) but I can imagine it getting quite crowded around Christmas. The mosquitos and black flies are no joke. I showed up without any DEET and had to buy some immediately, and use it constantly, and even then I was bitten. If you tend to attract bites, plan on covering up and using DEET in the morning and evening. In retrospect I wish we had gone for a beachfront baan as they probably had fewer bugs than ours, which didn't get as much breeze. Our baan was beautifully maintained and felt very private, with an outdoor bathroom and decks. Note that the water is from a well and gives off a strong sulphurous odour, which keeps showers short and eco friendly. All in all, a truly special place that runs seamlessly despite its remoteness and the encroaching jungle and sea around it. We enjoyed our time there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or go back."

Satri House: "Very pleasant hotel, wonderful service"

Review by: Ciganitazinha | Source: Trip Advisor
"Luang Prabang is a relatively small, and for me one of the most beautiful in Asia. In downtown, where most of the action is - hotels, shops, some temples - there are several hotels, all of them quite or very small. We booked this trip very close to the date of arrival so we could not book any nice hotel downtown, which would be much more convenient because we could just walk most of the time, so we chose Satri House. Satri house is not that far from the centre - about 5min in tuc tuc -, and if at first the distance seemed a disadvantage, at the end of the day I think it was a better choice as you avoid the noise of traffic, morning monks processions (around 6am) and night market (until 10pm). The hotel is gorgeous, built mostly in a set of old colonial houses beautifully renovated. The atmosphere and the details transports you to colonial times, with comfort and taste at the same time. The service is very good - check in and out is very quick, staff is always willing to help and they do it swiftly and with a smile. Breakfast is a la cart (included in our reservation), with a few options available; the omelets were very tasty, fresh fruit juices, fruit, and awesome bread and croissants. Unfortunately we did not try the restaurant but I think I is worth trying, at least judging by the quality of the breakfast. All in all, I would definitively recommend this hotel! Stayed December 2016, traveled with friends"
