Misool Eco Resort: "Best Diving Ever….. Misool exceeded my high expectations"

Review by: Lisa M | Source: Trip Advisor
"I visited Misool in February 2016 for an 11 night stay. Usually after a long stay on a small island I am ready to leave, but with Misool I would have happily stayed another 2 weeks. everything about the resort was perfect. I would call it rustic luxury. We stayed with friends in the only 2 bedroom water villa. The very extensive outside decking over the water offered a lot of space and I think we enjoyed it more than having 2 separate villas side by side. The position meant that we got lots of shade all day, if you want to sunbathe on the villa decking you would be better in one near the dive centre. The diving was simply exquisite and very well managed. Lot of sharks and Mantas.. and smaller critters too. Our dive guide Marfel was superb. When i go back I will definitely ask to dive with him again. Because of the remoteness of the island you have to expect that the food and drink choices may be limited if you are expecting a long a la carte menu (although the quality was always excellent) and the electricity supply was a little erratic and blew a couple of our Mac and iPad chargers. which was frustrating and expensive. We paid for a meet and greet service at Jakarta airport which tuned up almost 45 minted late, left us waiting outside in the rain and humidity, and then spent 5 minutes with us doing very little, so overall a waste of money. These small niggles in no way detracted from what was a truly outstanding experience and I cannot wait to go back."

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Brilliant"

Review by: RunningCoua | Source: Trip Advisor
Great place, great staff, great food. The naturalist guides were extremely competent and went way beyond just finding Leopards - though they were great at that too. The tents are comfortable. A really great place to stay.

Villa Song Saigon: "Just magic"

Review by: Madilyn C | Source: Trip Advisor
To be honest, i couldn't wait to write a review for this place. It was simply wonderful. Right by the river, all day breakfast, comfiest beds ever, amazing staff and an all round warm fuzzy vibe. Every night a member of staff would come and deliver complimentary slices of cake... such a lovely touch! There are free bus and boat rides into the city at various times each day, it only takes about 20 minutes. Theres a pool and gym along with a day spa to make your stay homey. In the end it all came down to the staff, they're all so helpful and happy that is was impossible to have a bad time. 5 stars!

Locavore: "Spectacular"

Review by: ian p | Source: Trip Advisor
This restaurant has lots of great reviews so we went with high expectations. We had the 5 course meal however there were about 4 little courses before that even started. The presentation on different rocks is spectacular and the food matches it. Not cheap but the whole experience is worth it

Reverie Siam Pai: "Best hotel in Pai"

Review by: Kyle G | Source: Trip Advisor
This place is clearly a cut above the other options in Pai. You have all the creature comforts of a boutique resort hotel with an excellent restaurant, all within a short walk or golf cart ride to the Pai night market and other draws. Enjoy this wonderful backpacker town while also coming home to a comfortable bed and peace and quiet!

Sukoon Houseboat: "Can wait to go back again!"

Review by: Pips30 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I stayed in this beautiful houseboat for 3 nights with my mother. We had the most wonderful time here. + The staffs are very good. They all made sure we have a comfortable stay. Thank you Bashir, Ashiq, Rasheed, Passang & Bela. + The view from the sun deck and the front area is breath taking + The food is yummy. Not spicy and not with too much masala + The rooms are clean and bathroom is big + We had an opportunity to meet the owner of Sukoon. He is such a fine gentleman. It was a pleasure meeting him - The bed is a bit too soft. I realized it only on my last day when I woke up with a stiff back but I guess if you inform them they will take care of it. - wifi is a bit slow but then who needs a wifi if the view is mind blowing We shall be back again very soon with our entire family."

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Too bad there are no 6 star ratings"

Review by: MarieLgx | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at 4 Rivers for a week, and wish we could have stayed for a month. As the boat arrives and the machine is turned off, you look around and you know you are going to spend an incredible time. This place is like no other: not only it has reached perfection in service, style, cleanliness and comfort, but also it allows you to rest and relax while appreciating all the beauties of the region. Yet the most exceptional thing about this resort is the staff. They have been caring, extraordinary helpful from the beginning until the very last moments. We cannot thank you enough for what you've done… but we'll try ;) First, thank you Bona for giving us the warmest greeting, making sure to explain everything, and taking on board with us to the resort (plus, your cocktails are delicious). Then, a big thanks to the tour guides, Vy, Sambo and Naren, you are great people and the funniest guys. Thank you to the restaurant team, Kenneth and E-J, you were adorable and always smiling. Thank you Adonis for your constant good mood, your big smile and your fun personality. Last but not least, thank you Anna for your precious time and for being the most amazing encounter we had in Cambodia. Keep doing what you do for the local children, for the biodiversity and for your team!! We will definitely come back... Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Excellent say in a period mansion"

Review by: vultureMelbourne | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I stayed here for 9 nights recently in the traditional Nanyang room and the enormous 50's retro rock n' roll style room. The mansion has undergone a superb restoration unlike the mostly shabby restorations seen in similar historic buildings in China. A lot of care and love has gone into this great house. The staff were all excellent and helpful. The breakfast in the superb dining room was a highlight. The food was a basic buffet supplemented with cooked to order choices. Everything was fresh and tasty. Did not try the inhouse restaurant but other guests we spoke to recommended it. Location is excellent. Will come back again."

Maduzi Hotel: "Best small hotel in Bangkok"

Review by: Scott G | Source: Trip Advisor
"I visit Bangkok 8 - 10 times per year on business, and have stayed in most of the CBD hotels over the years. I am also in the hotel business, so I tend to be quite picky about room design, service, and F&B.. This hotel has it all: Great location 5 minute walk to both BTS and MRT, extra large well-designed room with separate entry foyer for privacy, large bathroom with big shower and jacuzzi tub, and walk in wardrobe. Original paintings and antique carpets for a decorative touch, Bose sound system for music or movies, in room espresso maker, and free mini-bar for snacks and refreshments. Common areas include a beautifully appointed living room which is the perfect spot for relaxing with a book - or meeting with VIP clients. The restaurant provides semi-private dining areas, separated by bookshelves stocked with books on design, culture, and history. Best hotel breakfast in the city - fully a la cart menu features a great selection of dishes from black truffle quiche to Japanese confit of rainbow trout to home made granola and yoghurt with goji berry sauce - served until 2:00 pm. Twenty-four hour room service menu is good quality and fairly priced. The highly efficient staff work well as a team (the sales and marketing manager served my breakfast twice) and are super friendly. Special mention to Khun Poom who seems to be everywhere at once and is a master at arranging ground transport or fulfilling other special requests. Staff English proficiency is substantially better than most hotels in Bangkok. Complimentary early check-in or late check-out upon request, a very competitive room rate, and perks for direct booking / returning guests - no other hotel in the city comes close in terms of value, ambiance, service, and location. Stayed January 2017, traveled on business"
