Neeleshwar Hermitage: "“Relax and revive – the perfect place.”"
"We arrived in the dark after a tiring ten-hour car drive from Kochi and I thought I heard thunder. In fact it was the Arabian Sea pounding the extensive beach and in the morning we could see this magical place. A healthy breakfast on the beach and we were ready to relax. Many have given full positive descriptions so I don’t need to repeat those and the web site is accurate. Instead I will highlight just a few things that impressed me. I now have to watch my diet carefully and the wholemeal breads, fresh fruits, variety of fish are perfect. The menu includes various juices and I went for spinach but asked for some ginger too; I bet that will be on the list next time. All the food is superb, healthy and interesting. The aerial sketch on the website does not do it justice; there are many palm trees and the gardens are quite beautiful, spacious and well maintained. Contrary to some other comments I would recommend a sea view cottage without hesitation. There are only 18 cottages and they are carefully arranged; the peace is almost tangible. In fact the whole place has been designed by a skilful hand with great attention to detail and that includes the cottage interiors. Anyone who reads my reviews will know that I look at issues that might be relevant to those with mobility problems. There are a few steps to each cottage but the pathways should be OK. Internally the doors have very strong springs and help would be needed. For those with weak knees or limited use of limbs may find the bathroom a bit difficult. As a retired architect I know how it grates to put in grab handles. I hope the owners will consider seriously putting one close to the WC and another in the wonderful non-slip shower area. These things are important for those in need but I must emphasise that standard of design is very high. I wanted a full Ayurvedic body massage and had three; all were excellent. All that others have said about the atmosphere, management, welcoming and helpful staff etc. I endorse. No one could want for anything more. My wife and I seriously considered extending our week-long stay which is a testament in itself. Room Tip: Sea view cottage but all seemed very good."MesaStila: "Mid week getaway!"
I was expecting to be able to unwind when I got to MesaStila, what I did not expect was how quickly it happened. There is something magical and memorizing that happens from the moment you arrive. The entire resort is amazing. The staff just so gentle and warm. Even the food has healing and comforting elements. First day was spent just relaxing, getting to know the property. Our villa was spectacular and had all the mod cons we needed. Day 2 we experienced the Hammam Spa. Four months of stress disappeared after the 2 hour treatment- what an amazing facility this is. It rained for part of the time we were there which just added to the amazing experience. Reading in the clubhouse, watching the rain and mist. The resort takes you back in time but will all the modern conveniences. We also did the coffee tour, I love my coffee and now love it even more after listening to the delightful Lily explain how the coffee is grown, harvested, roasted and packaged. Thank you to all the staff of MesaStila for being so genuine! We will be back!Samuay & Sons: "Simply The Best Thai Restaurant in Thailand"
This restaurant is best described" Simply the best Thai restaurant in Thailand " We went there after reading a few reviews and so happy we managed to get a table on our first night in Udon Thani. We got there at almost 9pm at the suggestion of the owner because there was a big group of guests at 8pm and he did not want us to wait long for our orders. We were a bit hungry when we got there and ordered more than what we could eat but at the suggestions of the owner we cut down a few dishes to save some spaces for their desserts. The desserts we had were " something to die for ". We enjoyed every dish we had. No need to guess where we went for dinner the following night. Service was also excellent and definitely very good for value. We wish there was a Samuay & sons in Bangkok.satrin house: "Beautiful quiet hotel"
"Our plane arrival was two hours late and Satri House was there to pick us up on arrival. The service was kind, friendly, and gracious throughout our stay. Navi, the guest services manager was present to offer dining suggestions and answer any questions we might have. All of the staff were excellent. The hotel is arranged in beautiful gardens and pools around a Lao prince's residence. The furnishings and interiors are antiques and one of a kind art pieces. It is almost like staying in an art museum. The impressions are fantastic. The food in the dining room was excellent. We had dinner twice and breakfast every morning. It is good value for money. We used the hotel bicycles to go sight seeing which was fun. It was overall a wonderful experience. We stayed in room 622 which was large, artfully arranged, and quiet, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan which we loved. "The Island Lodge: "Excellent location, great food, fantastic staff"
"We just stayed in the Island Lodge for a night and we only regret one thing: that we didn't stay a bit longer. The location is simply gorgeous, but we especially enjoyed the special feel this family owned hotel has. Compared to some of the other luxurious hotels and resorts in Vietnam, you really feel at home at the Island Lodge. This is all thanks to Francoise and Michel and their fantastic team. We also had a great dinner here at very reasonable prices. Finally, the massages we got were by far the best we had during our stay in Vietnam. We can only recommend this place if you are around Saigon. Escape the busy city life and come to relax here for a few nights. You will not regret it. As for us: we will be back!"Rachamankha: "Beautiful place to stay"
"On arrival to the Rachamankha it was hard to deny the breath taking architecture and clean calm appearance of the place. After staying at a friendly, family run guest house in Bangkok I did find this hotel to be a little bit sterile and cold at first. However, over the 4 days that I spent here I really warmed to the place. The location way great, being very central to the old town. Breakfast was excellent, with a really good range. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the facilities were very good, especially the pool. The room was also spacious and beautiful. A faultless stay. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Tugu Bali: "Amazing accommodations"
"We absolutely LOVED Tugu hotel in Canggu. The location is perfect, the service is AMAZING and the food was delicious. The suites are breathtaking, ours came with a fruit basket of local fruit. The bathroom was half outdoors, filled with flowers and was surrounded by a Koi pond with a beautiful ladle to pour water traditionally. We also had a private pool in our back yard which was a tropical paradise. You have amazing options for seating indoors or out when dining, and the complimentary afternoon tea was diving. "Glenburn Tea Estate: "Wonderful and timeless"
An unforgettable stay, at 2000 meters above sea level, in cottages dating from the British colonial era, in the heart of a tea plantation ... a delight for the eyes and taste buds ...! Everything is done to satisfy you. Here you can relax while contemplating the Himalayas or participate in multiple and varied activities in an exceptional and timeless. Do not miss a picnic (or even overnight) to camp at the river! With 8 accommodations you will not be faced with the crowd! ... Dinner is traditionally eaten together, candlelight, and theme menus are absolutely amazing! The quality of massages provided on site is exceptional. The staff is totally dedicated, always available and very smiley. After the factory tour (and tasting) you will be unbeatable on tea! A wonderful shop will let you take in your luggage a little of this paradise! The Hue House: "Beautiful Place in middle Sài Gòn"
"Unique architecture in the heart of Saigon. We had a good time here. Regional cuisine and above all you can enjoy Wine here with extremely beautiful space. Staff was nice and friendly. You will be thoroughly explained by the owner of the restaurant about detail of food. A nice restaurant so I will be back soon."SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "If I never eat out again before I die – I won’t have missed much"
"Early January found us in Yangon and birthdays to celebrate. Being treated to Seeds by our son and daughter-in-law was a gift beyond compare. The setting, the food and wine, the attention to detail all delivered with what appeared to be a comfortably casual air but so obviously wasn't. Felix and Lucia you are to be congratulated not only for your food but for the delightful attitude that you have bestowed upon your staff. Cocktails by the lake is the perfect starter to a truly wonderful dining experience. I would strongly recommend making Seeds a non-negotiable part of any visit to Yangon."
