Arumdalu: "Isolated natural beauty"
I visited with my wife for a weekend getaway from Jakarta, and found this to be a wonderful tonic for hectic traffic and work stress. It is isolated, and the drive from the airport is about an hour and 15 minutes, which is something to consider. However, we were very happy to be met by the resort's driver, and William, who took us on a short visit to the town for local coffee and noodles, which were great! The resort itself is still relatively new, and the staff's knowledge of English was limited, but their attentiveness, service, and friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcome. The facilities are wonderful, with private (one bed) Villas with lovely open floor plan, private plunge pool surrounded by views of forest and natural sounds. The beach is white sand and you can literally be the only people on it, which is amazing for Indonesia, but there are lots of little jellyfish in the ocean, so be careful. The food was wonderful, and the chef quickly took in our pescetarian dietary preference and began to create delicious offerings for us with fresh seafood and veggies (some grown on the premises). It is pricey, but is a wonderful luxury getaway spot.Mume: "Deserved a place in Top50 in Asia!"
A must try when in Taipei, friendly staff and food cooked and presented to perfection! Was impressed on the execution of techniques, blend of flavours and its casual atmosphere.Pindaya Farm House: "A charming farmhouse"
Unlike many popular and expensive hotels in Myanmar with extravagant yet very poor in taste decorations, Pindaya farmhouse stands out with cozy and warm ambience. No TV, no hot shower but that’s ok... it’s more natural that way... It fits exactly for people who look for different tastes when they travel. Farm hosts are not only extremely hospitable, but very good in making meals. We are treated with beautiful breakfast of variety of farm grown fruits & Shan noodle. It’s almost like visiting a friend’s house for a night. It was during high festive season in Myanmar of Lighting Thadingyut festival when I was there. Many people make lanterns out of local Shan paper. Night sky was filled with floating paper lanterns. I can’t express how much I enjoyed staying there for a night. I wished I had more time to stay there a bit longer to do some cycling among those beautiful valleys, canola fields and wine yards. Needless to say how pleasant highland weather was. It was a memorable stay, it was an instant love and joy.arumdalu: "Impressive place."
We visited Belitung island on Dec 2015 with my little children. It was great experience during staying in this hotel. Guests can feel warm hospitality and nice views. Fortunately we met owener of this hotel and heard his way of thinking about of this hotel. I was really impressed by owener.Maduzi Hotel: "Hidden retreats in the busy Bangkok"
"I am glad i found Maduzi Hotel in my Bangkok Hotels research before the trip, I wish that I found it sooner before we booked another hotel but me and my husband were lucky that we get to stay here for 3 nights out of our 6 days holiday in Bangkok. The location of this hotel is just a 3-5mins walk from Asok BTS which made it easier for us to travel to any corner of the city also 10-15 mins walk to Nana. The room itself was so fascinating. It was worth the price that we paid. Super big room with a very comfy king-sized bed and also a relaxing couch by the window. When we walked in to the bathroom, it was like we were in a celebrity's house. Big mirror with lovely lighting, walk-in closet, and the best part of it was the bathtub X jacuzzi! It was huge and quite deep, it could fit 2 people in it, and to fill the tub, the water will fall from the roof. Very unique and nice touch! On the other hand, they have a coffee machine in each of the room, also you can have free tea or coffee at their bar for 24/7. It was very relaxing after so much of walking around. They didn't have many breakfast options, but we tried almost every menu and they were delicious.. Every morning that's the thing we look after and if you wake up late you can have your breakfast as your brunch. I'm so looking forward to be back here and enjoy all of the fascinating facilities Maduzi has. Thank you for making our holiday memorable."Tugu Lombok: "A place to go"
This is a wonderfull peacefull boutique hotel. We came there by chance after being refused by our already booked sandinpondok in gili t. We spend 5 days in lombok in a front ocean room. You deserve this hotel fir many reason. Lombok is a wonderfull island. And the hotel is organizing many trips to discover the island itself. We went to thecwaterfall but not trough the normal route but taking a different path trought the rice fields. If you like hikimg g this the best way to arrive to the waterfalls. Leave aprt the more tourist way. We went with the boat to gilli island ( make sure you reserve the hotel boat and not the external ones). Gilli are overcroweded and unlessyiu are 20ies and looking for disco and ibiza mood... stay away from them and enjoy gilli under sea by boat. The hotel is simply amazing. Amixture of indonesian styles.. decorated with intersting and lovely taste. Food is excellent. Do not expect a buffet style hotel.. luckly...we have done three massage. Each one of them was professionally made.you can also buy the oils from the spa as well as visiting the antique shop of the hotel. Staff are professionally managed by the general manager. Guest relation is very professional and she will support you in choosing the right program and massage. Do not miss the moon one! Definitely a must where to stay. We loved it.Manukan Island Resort: "Paradise island and resort"
"This was a great place to be. Everything was just perfect. The hospitality of the staff is great. They really want you to have a good time. At the restaurant you could also ask for things beside the menu and the cook would look what was possible. The guests of the resort have their own private beach and swinmingpool. You can use the towels of the resort so not necessary to bring your own. The resort is not too large and that is exactly what gives it a charm. We stayed 4 nights and everybody knew us. The room was perfect also. Looking out at the beach and with a large bathroom. At daytime the island has a lot of day visitors (depending on the day and season how many) but after 5 pm the island is deserted except for the residents of the resort. We did also the jungle track to the sunset point and that was allright and took aprox 50 minutes. And there are possibilities to snorkel and dive. "David’s Kitchen: "Number 1 for a good reason"
Its the best! Tried different restaurants in the area but this one stands out. The food is so tasty! Try it and believe the hype.Mie Cafe: "Chef’s recommendation"
We ended up trying this restaurant from the recommendation of the head chef of Lecuisine Wat Damnak (another review), and we loved it. Cozy fine dining restaurant, where we ended up trying some of the a la carte dishes instead of the degustation menu. Really enjoyed the food (new Khmer dishes) and atmosphere, and even despite a heavy rainstorm, which caused a semi-flood in the outdoor seating area. Made it extra cozy.Reverie Siam: "All you need to relax in style"
"I stayed here with my wife for 3 nights and must say that it was a very pleasant experience. From beginning to end excellent service and very good professional staff/personel. It's a retro style resort with a tasty tappas restaurant. Good bartenders and the food is excellent and fresh. We felt very welcome and the breakfast is the best we had in Thailand. 2 dishes to choose from and fresh juice and good coffee. And refills all the time! The room was perfect, bed was big and comfortable. Fresh bottles of water and fresh towels every day. Swimmingpool is nice and calm. Free transport to center of Pai (fun in the evening). Also good live music at the river bar and in the restaurant. The whole experiance is great and relaxed. That's the holiday feeling!
