4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "The best of Cambodia"

"We were picked up from the airport in Phnom Penh in the car arranged by 4 Rivers. It was a Toyota Camry, the driver was excellent, we felt safe driving through the traffic of Phnom Penh. After about 1.5 hrs we stopped for refreshments at a roadside restaurant that had the cleanest toilets ever. As we got out of the city traffic the scenery got more and more rural with great views of village life. It took us about 4.5hrs to reach the reception on the banks of the River Tatai. Our luggage was loaded on to the boat and we left straight away for the 30 minute transfer to the floating lodge. As we passed the final bend in the river the lodge came into view. What a sight!!. We were met at the lodge by Adonis who showed us to our tent and gave us information about the lodge. The tent was well appointed and had the most amazing view of local village houses on the opposite bank. We chose the last tent on the west side of the lodge and felt at one with the river. We relaxed on the pontoon during parts of the day soaking up the sun and spent the rest of the time with our guide ""By"" (I think that is the spelling) He took us on a trip to a local fishing village and introduced us to the local people. He gave us an unforgettable experience and enabled us to get a real view of the hard lives of the fishing community and some of the environmental challenges they face now and in the future. We finished the trip by kayaking into the mangroves and By's local knowledge made our time so special. The following day he took us out again at dawn on a short Jungle trek. We saw some wildlife but the high lite for us was seeing the school children arriving for classes at the local school we were able to pop into the class and see the children in their lessons. Really special. The evenings were so serene the sunsets were amazing whilst swimming in the river. At night the staff continue to impress with tasty cocktails and great food. (you choose you meals in the afternoon when one of the staff visits you at your tent). The food here is first class nice authentic Khmer cuisine with more western options for those who prefer. They also offer reasonably priced wine by the bottle or glass (yes wine in the jungle). Before dinner there is also the option to see the fireflies. All aboard the boat for a short trip down the river. Then lights out engine off as you drift slowly down stream looking for the fireflies. Really special we did it twice. We spent 3 nights at the lodge and I must say this was the most memorable part of our time in Cambodia. All the staff were amazing and it was an honour to meet them and hear about their lives living and working in this most unspoilt part of the world. Thanks to everyone at 4 Rivers. Mie Cafe: "Very nice"

Went here for a dinner and it was very nice price and customer service with so many smiles you could not help smiling yourself. Very easy to get to.

Labyrinth: "Inventive Menu by Chef / Owner L G Han"

"If you are looking for a dining experience to really remember then the one Michelin Star, Labyrinth Restaurant is for you. We enjoyed the ten (10) course, very inventive, degustation menu with matching wines. This was not a 'cheap meal out' alternative but what an experience. The sensational flavours Chef Han has 'developed / created' and presents beautifully onto your plate are to die for and create much discussion if you are lucky enough to be sharing this experience (and I mean a 'real experience') with someone. Each course is described by the excellent staff, who are attentive, but not overly so, which is good for a dining experience. We were lucky enough to get to talk to Chef / Owner Han (apparently an Investment Banker ?? in a previous life), who is a very dedicated and focused Chef and ever so willing to talk about his passion for food, presentation, attention to detail and how and why he set out to create the 'truly innovative' fair he offers at Labyrinth. If you're in Singapore, love food and wine and like to challenge your taste buds with something very different, then Labyrinth will certainly meet your every expectation."

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Annual pilgramage"

"At least once a year we make our way here. We do that because the service is impeccable (no hovering but everything appears exactly when you need it). The food is inventive yet grounded. (Yes, there are things you might call ""molecular"" but they don't abuse it or make it silly) It reflects local culture in interesting ways. (Every year they introduce me to something in Thai cuisine I was completely unaware of. This always results in my seeking it out in street carts or local restaurants later. Khao Soi, Khao Chai. Moo Palo). The win list is brillliant. This is not cheap ( by Thai standards), but would stand up to any NY, London or Singapore 5 start. Do NOT miss this. And stick your neck out if they have a la carte (they didn't this trip - it was a wonderful fixed menu). For example. Pork Blood Chocolate pudding. Sounds scary. It's heavenly. You only live once and that should be well fed."

Mudanwan Villa: "Superior Villa"

It is recommended at this high level of Villa Pingtung hsuhai! Forget the troubles of working life, easily come here to vacation! Here you can consume a whole day! The offer five meals, every meal is a feast for the taste buds, now play 24 hours of juice very healthy! You can hot springs in the room, you can also rent a bicycle to see the sea close to nodding! Although the cheap price, but it is definitely value of enjoyment! !

Satri House: "Beauty, serenity, luxury"

We spent 4 days at this stunning boutique hotel, which manages to balance stunning luxury and tranquil relaxation. We were a large group- 3 families with children of all ages in tow, and the staff and manager made each of us feel welcomed and looked after. The lush gardens, beautiful pools, cinema room, heritage buildings with wonderful antique filled rooms, spas and excellent restaurant ensured that each person in the group was happily occupied. The Village House: "Wonderful boutique accommodation"

"Had a wonderful stay at the Village House. It has all the right ambience for a stay in Sarawak. Ideal for visitors who want to trek Mt Santubong, as they provide a shuttle going to and back from the start of the trail. The breakfast included in your room payment is fantastic and their lunch and dinner menu are just right if you want to try Malay and local cuisine. Room Tip: Rooms near the pool are ideal if you like the sound of flowing water"

Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing Traditional Villas"

We only stayed there for a night and also it was kinda low season period so yea not so many guests were around and more quiet and peaceful. For the breakfast its not that great tho. The Spa looks so nice with hybrid colonial and traditional style cottage. You can also learn more about clay pot making process, they have nice jetty for boat pick up if you up to go for ride around INLE lake. The dinning hall itself it s more looks like a traditional Myanmar theater which is also good looking. For the pool, even its small, its still looks so beautiful with the set up and surrounding lake and plants. For overall, its a nice views with inner lake surrounded by the villas, very large villas interior, outside shower with large area, very fast wifi internet, nice people around. For me i really dont find it very good food for breakfast, may be i was there on the low season and not many guests are around and also staffs. Anyway the resort itself is so beautiful and interior decorations with stunning views.

Mathis Retreat: "Love this place!"

Visited for the 2nd time. And still love this place! Really small boutique feeling with all you want in holiday. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, nice staff, nice pool and perfect rice paddy view! Definitely would recommend to my friends.
