Satri House: "Attention to Detail"
"The Satri House setting is welcoming, elegant, and most comfortable. The quality of all offerings (lovely grounds and statuary, water features, open-air restaurant, and rooms) is evident at first glance. The staff present a sincere attitude of kindness and concern to guests and strive to fulfill any possible requests. Be sure to ask to use the free bikes for a special view of Luang Prabang. Room Tip: We made no requests for a special room and were quite pleased with the hotel's choice for us."Tugu Bali: "Amazing fabulous decor"
We had a lovely dinner at this charming Oriental/Chinese/Asian art inspired restaurant serving Japanese food. Quality of the food was quite good although the staff really need more training with the menu. They weren't sure about the dishes when we asked them and served us a couple of dishes which needed to b changed as it wasn't what we ordered. Overall though it's a really nice restaurant to take friends to for the charming decor and experience.Rachamankha: "Beautiful Hotel"
I loved the hotel. The hotel was in a great location. If you arrive over the weekend, there is a Sunday night market within walking distance. The hotel was clean and the room was nice and cool upon arrival. Staff was friendly and the morning buffet delicious!Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "The perfect break!"
Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge provided the perfect break from the rush, noise and dust in city life in Nepal. From the moment you arrive the staff are attentive and provide helpful information in a non intrusive way. The rooms, each a cottage on its own, are spacious, comfortable and every need is catered for. Early morning views of the mountains are spectacular and visible from each of the rooms. The food is so good at each meal, individual needs having been taken into account, it is worth losing a bit of weight before staying there. A place to be returned to.Satri House: "Lovely Sanctuary"
Pluses - Perfect in almost every way. Beautiful property. Lovely staff. The deluxe room was gorgeous & the attached balcony was a charming addition to the space. We tried the spa - that was very good too, both facial & the relaxing oil massage. For breakfast, even if you're not a noodle lover, do try the chicken noodle soup. It's delicious! And a great way to start the day, either before a day at the temples or after the dawn pilgrimage of watching the monks' procession. A nice 10-15min leisurely stroll to the town centre. Complimentary bicycles provided if you want to ride. Oh, and look out for the elephant in the open enclosure across the street from the property! The River Resort: "Paradis"
"We stayed here for four very comfortable nights...a quaint hotel, comfortable rooms with a balcony....very antique furniture collections from all over the world...and some special touches. It's not hard to find yourself lost here with all the different walkways to different rooms etc. took me a couple of days to finally get it right!!! Service was excellent.... In the afternoons a knock on the door with a small snack....mini bar restocked each day. Wifi good. Easy access to the town...not far to walk. No tv...which is a plus to relax and enjoy. There is a library! Full breakfasts were lovely...we had cooked every day..starting off with a large fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. Staff and management were friendly and helpful. We paid the bill and received a farewell gift. Thank you Satri House."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Little bit of paradise"
This hotel is one of the most amazing places I've stayed at! Loved everything about it... rooms were spectacularly beautiful, river was scenic and peaceful, so much to do, loved waterfall tour and travelling on the rive by boat, also had a go at fishing for my dinner 😂Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Beautiful hotel & restaurant"
"We went for lunch and spent a few hours at their beautiful terrace watching the lake. Prices for food are well worth, especially considering how beautiful and calm everything is. The place is a school for unfortunate and unprivileged youth who train to become chefs and hotel staff. Seems like a great project. If within your budget I'd definitely recommend staying a night or two at the hotel. Stayed October 2016"Heritage Suites Hotel: "Perfect Location and Stunning Boutique Hotel!"
"On arrival, there are two lovely old vintage cars parked in the drive of this authentic hotel, which is located far enough away from the tourist part of town, but near enough to everything you need! We had a bungalow suite which is really large and not only has a nice comfortable bed with good pillows and linens, but there is a large bath with petals if one wants, plus a large walk in shower, and also a sauna on the other side! There is a separate toilet off the lounge area, and a garden area outside, so that you have everything you need! The swimming pool is really nice and we spent a very pleasant afternoon there. There is a fabulous restaurant called Marum, which is a training restaurant just at the bottom of the road, where we had a great meal, and there are also some good laundries nearby within walking distance. The service at the hotel is really good, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. My only negative comment is that we would have preferred a larger breakfast menu, as you have to order and is not a buffet, so limited options. Also, we were given a free 15 min massage each, which is very nice gesture, but when my husband, who didn’t want his, asked to give it to me so I could have 30 mins, they couldn’t do this as wasn’t policy! Notwithstanding that, I had a lovely relaxing massage. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap, as you really get the feel for the area, better than staying in one of the large chain hotels which were all very near the airport, on one long stretch of road. We also ate at Maris restaurant, and were lucky to get a reservation at Cuisine Wat Damnak, the best restaurant there! But you must book from the UK for that one. All in all, a great choice of hotel, we could get a Tuk tuk easily into town, and a visit to the night market and the old quarter is well worthwhile, in fact get the tuk tuk to give you a tour around town for $5, is great fun!"
