"Very interesting layout. Our suite was on the second floor with a huge Japanese style tin bath and great ocean view. Very rustic appearance, but with all modern conveniences. Our daughter's suite had a plunge pool and koi pond. The best aspects of the hotel were the perfect service, and the large grassy lawn space next to the beach. By the second day the wait staff knew us by name. Be sure to try one of their many specialty prix fixe dinners. Not much to do outside the resort, compared to other areas of Bali, but that's OK."Anopura: "Havre de paix"

"This is a serene and gracious hotel, filled with beautiful examples of Indonesian art and culture. So, while we went there for peace and relaxation, we enjoyed an introduction to the history and habits of Indonesia. The entire staff was always accommodating and always smiling -- from the manager Jenny to the welcoming personnel to the dining staff to the massage therapists. They all made us feel special and comfortable and at home. The dining experiences were more than I had expected. Japanese, Chinese, traditional Indonesian dishes were so delicious and beautifully presented. The spa treatments were luxurious and superb! "Happened to stumble on this place after wandering around Siem Reap looking for dinner and was able to be seated without a reservation. That was a stroke of good fortune because this restaurant was exceptional. If you're in Siem Reap, do yourself a favor and visit this establishment. We went here just after opening - and without a reservation - on a weekday for lunch. We were seated right away. The tasting menu was delicious and the cocktails great. The pier is the star attraction, best place in Kep to experience sunset and because of the small amount of rooms available the resort is never crowded, there are always available beds around the pool. "We were quite surprised to one minute being surrounded by urban India then suddenly in this idyllic small resort type hotel on the Coast of the Arabian Sea. Fabulous clean beach, perfect facilities, Yoga Room, Spa, 2 restaurants our favourite being right in the beach and large infinity pool. The accommodation is self contained little cottages. "This was our second time in Tugu and we were again mesmerized by the magic of the place and charm of the staff. With all the changes that is happening in Bali - we were here 4 years ago, Tugu is like a bubble of culture, peace and happiness. The rooms are simply palatial - don't remember seeing hotel rooms as large and majestic as these. They are decorated with astonishing pieces of Indonesian art and a bed so comfortable it was hard to leave the room. The menu of Indonesian food is simply amazing, a gourmet journey around Indonesia. If you feel like a western fare there are probably cheaper options in the area. I strongly recommend the spa and if you can, try Ms. Kadek, she is amazing! Above all the staff is what really makes the difference. It was great to see that many of them are still working there and they remembered my name after 4 years. The Rachamankha hotel is an oasis in the middle of Chiang Mai, Thailand. My wife and I stayed there for three nights as part of a southeast Asia tour. The hotel grounds are fabulous and peaceful. "We stayed for the last night of our Asia tour and wished we had booked for longer. The Villa is a beautiful place in lush tropical gardens on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Diner and breakfast were superb and you really cant beat the view from the dining terrace. The staff were super friendly, making it all in all a lovely end to our trip. I hope their literary weekend was a success as they were all very excited to be hosting it and opening their doors to the general public for the 1st time."
