Reverie Siam Pai: "Perfect step back in time with modern amenities"
INCREDIBLE. Mountain view room which I thought was wonderful. The room itself is stunning. French doors, decorated just right, huge bathroom with free standing tub. Overall the hotel pulls off it's 'colonial, 20s' vibe just right. ITs not overdone, it's just right. Felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland at times which was so fun. Both pools are great, staff super nice and was gushing over the place the whole time. Didn't want to leave.Amata Lanna: "Hidden Gem!"
We have enjoyed our stay at Amata Lanna! Small amount of guests allows for a peaceful and relaxing experience. Hotel is clean and inviting! Rooms are impressive with old teak wood. Breakfast offers an al a carte menu and the eggs are delicious! Location is a short walk from the Night Market and about 15-20 minute walk to the Weekend Market. If you like to feel away from hustle and bustle, this is a good choice for you!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Excellent place to relax"
4 Rivers Floating lodge was an excellent place to relax. Calm, peaceful and blissful. A large variety of activities, from kayaking, jungle trekking etc. The staff and manager were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A little piece of paradise above Pokhara"
Stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of Nepal and it was the highlight of the trip. Having stayed here in 2011 I was looking forward to my return visit and was not disappointed. The staff, as ever, were fantastic. Marcus was extremely helpful, going out of his way to help a couple of our group who were ill (illness contracted at previous places NOT at Tiger Mountain!). The choice of activities on offer is excellent, the food wonderful, the lodges superb - I'm looking forward to a return visit. I can't recommend this place highly enough.Le Passe-Temps: "A gem, timeless, perfect for a honeymoon"
The Pastime is our great discovery this year. Cozy, well located, with stunning views over the bay of Krabi, we were more than happy with my husband to a stage at Olivier and Kiet, the owners of Hobby, for a few days during our honeymoon. Their welcome was exemplary and friendly, the rooms are decorated with taste, the food is delicious and the proposed activities are varied, reasonably priced. The place is suitable also for great encounters with other travelers around an evening cocktail. In short, a little paradise that it was very difficult to leave! One thing is sure, if we go back to Thailand, we will not fail to iron home ..Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Another relaxing and indulgent week spent at an idyllic beach resort"
"We have stayed here before so know what to expect and are never disappointed. From our comfortable bungalow with its semi-open bathroom to the amazing food in both restaurants, our stay was the perfect antidote to the pace and stress of everyday life at home. No request is ever too much trouble for any member of staff from housekeeping to the spa, waitors to the yoga intstructor. A week flew past, we could have happily stayed another."Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Annual pilgramage"
"At least once a year we make our way here. We do that because the service is impeccable (no hovering but everything appears exactly when you need it). The food is inventive yet grounded. (Yes, there are things you might call ""molecular"" but they don't abuse it or make it silly) It reflects local culture in interesting ways. (Every year they introduce me to something in Thai cuisine I was completely unaware of. This always results in my seeking it out in street carts or local restaurants later. Khao Soi, Khao Chai. Moo Palo). The win list is brillliant. This is not cheap ( by Thai standards), but would stand up to any NY, London or Singapore 5 start. Do NOT miss this. And stick your neck out if they have a la carte (they didn't this trip - it was a wonderful fixed menu). For example. Pork Blood Chocolate pudding. Sounds scary. It's heavenly. You only live once and that should be well fed."Kinabalu Park: "Some tips for noobs (like me)!"
"Do not rush it. Take some time to enjoy the places in ranau and kundasang as well. We stayed at LODGE 37 for 2 days and its still not enough. Lodge 37 is located at ranau in between kinabalu park and ranau hot spring. Theres few trails inside the foot of mt kinabalu itself (dont need any ticket), so if u guys are up for it spend one whole day there. (Wont still be enough) For RANAU HOT SPRING, spend a day there as well. Theres more to it then just the hot spring, If u continue walking, u'll come across - 1) CANOPY WALK (few metres away) 2) KIPUNGIT waterfall (700m away) 3) BAT cave 4) and another waterfall (3km away) If u plan to go both ranau and foot of mt kinabalu on the same day, keep ur ticket with you. U wont have to pay for entrance of the latter if u show them ur tickets. On the last day, otw back to KK, Go for KIULU WATER RAFTING. Worth it for first timer. Maybe not so much for advanced rafters. And later, hav a lunch at SULAMAN. Where u can get fresh 'lokan' (shells), fried food (rice), and some coconut pudding for ur empty stomach. Then head back to KK. Sunset viewing at KOKOL HILL can be done either otw to ranau, or otw back from ranau. Choose which suits u best. We did it otw to ranau. Hope this helps. Even with few days research i didnt really get to know these facts, only when we are there and try it ourselves that we found out abt all this. Last but not least, just enjoy urselves! Stop worrying abt the time that u cant regain. Live the life, travelers! InsyaAllah."Reverie Siam: "Lost Horizon"
We've stayed in Reverie Siam three times since it was opened a few years ago. Its elegant design, location, tranquil environment, excellent up keeping, great food, attention to details, caring staff... keep bringing us back to PAI. We also noticed improvements every time we returned there which indicated the owner's effort in making this a perfect resort. The Island Lodge: "The Island Lodge is an Island Dream, in the coconut Kingdom"
My stay at the island lodge was awesome, the service, the area and the food are great. Don't hesitate to try the fusion cuisine, and enjoy the swimming pool area with a authentic via on the river mekong and its endless boat ballet, ride motorbike or bicycle in the coconut islands ... An home grown & authentic trip in the Mekong Delta!!!Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
