Chakrabongse Villas: "Bangkok’s best kept secret hotel"
I only knew about this hotel due to the history of the Chakrabongse family, and therefore really wanted to stay there. Quite frankly it feels that you are staying in a private house in the epicentre of old Bangkok rather than a hotel. We stayed in the garden room, and even had friends over for dinner on the terrace for one of the nights. I wish I could afford to stay here every time I am in BKK, but think I will just have to settle for when I want to treat myself (and the wife !) to something special. absolutely brilliant place to stay.Maduzi Hotel: "Best small hotel in Bangkok"
"I visit Bangkok 8 - 10 times per year on business, and have stayed in most of the CBD hotels over the years. I am also in the hotel business, so I tend to be quite picky about room design, service, and F&B.. This hotel has it all: Great location 5 minute walk to both BTS and MRT, extra large well-designed room with separate entry foyer for privacy, large bathroom with big shower and jacuzzi tub, and walk in wardrobe. Original paintings and antique carpets for a decorative touch, Bose sound system for music or movies, in room espresso maker, and free mini-bar for snacks and refreshments. Common areas include a beautifully appointed living room which is the perfect spot for relaxing with a book - or meeting with VIP clients. The restaurant provides semi-private dining areas, separated by bookshelves stocked with books on design, culture, and history. Best hotel breakfast in the city - fully a la cart menu features a great selection of dishes from black truffle quiche to Japanese confit of rainbow trout to home made granola and yoghurt with goji berry sauce - served until 2:00 pm. Twenty-four hour room service menu is good quality and fairly priced. The highly efficient staff work well as a team (the sales and marketing manager served my breakfast twice) and are super friendly. Special mention to Khun Poom who seems to be everywhere at once and is a master at arranging ground transport or fulfilling other special requests. Staff English proficiency is substantially better than most hotels in Bangkok. Complimentary early check-in or late check-out upon request, a very competitive room rate, and perks for direct booking / returning guests - no other hotel in the city comes close in terms of value, ambiance, service, and location. Stayed January 2017, traveled on business"Mathis Retreat: "Too short stay – will be back"
"We regularly come to Bali and Ubud has been our Favourite for years. This was our 1st stay at Mathis Retreat (we had tried the Seminyak Sister resort) and we clearly wished we had stayed longer (we had to fly back on 31st). Despite the slow start (restaurant was closed when we reached at 4pm and staff was not very excited and Creative to prepare anything for 3 starving kids), all the rest was only good if not great surprises. Big and clean connecting rooms on the ground floor of one of the building, rice fields view, great dinner food with nice wine selection, scooters organized in advance, late check-out where we kept 1 room until 5:30pm, very friendly staffs, tasty breakfast with several freshly made options,... Of course, the price is not cheap but definitely worth the money. We'll come back and stay longer !"Manda De Laos: "Beautiful in the evening"
We were lucky enough there was a table for two. Food was good and the atmosphere was super strong with the beautiful pond and flowers at the centre. Also the staff were on point and took good care of us!Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Excellent Small Hotel"
Stayed here for two nights in July. Room was spacious and well maintained with everything that you could need. The swimming pool is clean and very welcoming after a hot day. All staff are very good. Only had breakfast here which was fine but dinner menu also sounded good.Reverie Siam: "An experience to remember"
Reverie Siam will always be a very special place for my mother and I. As soon as we arrived we were transported, this place is so much more than a hotel. Every detail has been thought about, the staff were always one step ahead of us. A special thank you to Mr Sabastian for making each night so lovely, we thank you for your talent and experience. To Toffy for your humor and care, we looked forward to seeing you every morning. There is no doubt we will be back to visit you again and will recommend this oasis to all the special people in our lives. Thank you!Rachamankha: "Rachamanka Hotel Chiang Mai, what an oasis in a bustling city"
"We arrived at the Rachamanka Hotel after being in Bangkok for 3 days. What a little oasis this is with its little courtyards, beautiful bedrooms with wooden doors and relaxing pool area. This is a really tranquil place, not for young kids, as this is somewhere to relax by the pool, visit the massage area or library. The whole place is quality with antiques around the whole place. Breakfast is superb, with a great choice and all made to order, no buffet here! Lots of attentive and helpful staff. This place deserves the high certification it comes with. It simply has an air of calm and quality which must be appreciated. Do not expect to have too rush around in a hurry this is quality and tranquility, there are not many places like this around. Its a must stay in Chiang Mai and right by the attractions, but without any noise. Stunningly beautiful."Nimmu House: "An amazing place and a friendly team"
We are a family with two children of 9 and 7 . We stayed our first 3 nights in Ladakh at Nimmu House . It is a beautiful quiet place : a well renovated traditional Ladakhi house with a beautiful garden and very confortable tents for the guests. We were staying in one of the tents : they are all beautifully decorated , comfortable and spacious . You get the dinner in the main dining room where you can eat a delicious cuisine . The staff is very friendly and always try to please you. The hotel is eco friendly and in symbiosis with its environment . It is easy to socialise with other guests . Wifi and internet connection like many places in Ladakh can be a challenge . Nevertheless, It was a very pleasant stay and our kids loved it . We strongly recommend Nimmu House . We will surely come back.Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Simple hotel with excellent service"
This is a small hotel of 7 rooms overlooking the Mekong river. Our suite had 3 rooms all comfortable and well kept. There is no pool. The hotel restaurant is on the top floor and has spectacular views across the Mekong Delta. What sets this hotel apart though is the excellent staff who clearly enjoy having you as a guest.Rachamankha: "Beautiful Hotel"
I loved the hotel. The hotel was in a great location. If you arrive over the weekend, there is a Sunday night market within walking distance. The hotel was clean and the room was nice and cool upon arrival. Staff was friendly and the morning buffet delicious!Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
