The Island Lodge: "Excellent lodge located right in front of the Mekong"
"We enjoyed a lot our stay here starting with the pool just in front of the Mékong. We had a room with a large terrace and with a great bathroom. The bedoom itself is a bit small to accomodate two kids but that was ok. The owner rented us a car with a driver, that was very convenient. It is so nice to see someone willing to please his customers by any means.Highly recommended to anyone willing to visit the Mekong delta."Villa Song Saigon: "Must stay"
"I had a chance to come across this hotel as I was sourcing an outdoor venue for a corporate event. Everyone at Villa Song was very helpful with our event. For those looking for a place to have an outdoor wedding, look no further - Villa Song is the place to go to! I had the chance to stay there for a night and I regretted as it's too short!!! I will definitely be back! The room is huge and the bed is very comfortable. They have a great restaurant that is just by the Saigon river that offers 2 completely different views for day and night. Food is awesome as well and you have the choice of either Vietnamese or Western - both are great. They have a great pool as well - though they don't offer any view but they have make the pool very cosy. Just a look at the pool and you will want to stay there. Spa was great too! I had a 75min massage - price is cheaper than the 5-star hotels in District 1. Although the location is at District 2, it is not far from other places. I would recommend staying here for 1-2N for some quiet moments before staying at the downtown area. Just a note that I don't think there is any elevator. Thus if you have problems walking up the stairs, you can request for rooms that are at the ground level."tugu lombok: "Too good… Tugu!"
We are travellers who enjoy the splurge when it's worth it but never like to return to locations we have previously visited (the world is just too big). Tugu is one of those places we would love to visit again though, if only for its uniqueness. One of the first things you'll hear on your intro is that Tugu is not for everyone and this is the kind of thing that makes me happy on holidays. Who wants to spend money to get holidays that are "for everyone"? In Tugu you will be taken care of individually. We stayed 4 nights at Dadap Merah on the Retreat package and definitely recommend the package to all. The room is unique and -frankly- perfect. We loved the rustic quirkiness of the resort and the kindness of all staff. Terima kasih and you again!CABOCHON HOTEL & RESIDENCE: "Urban Bangkok feel — Hit it twice this so far."
"For those seeking to experience the vibe of Bangkok as a psuedo-denizen for a couple of days -- that is, to live/to sleep amid that ordinary urban street mix of local food vendors adjacent to gleaming skyscrapers, [and, with some solid benefits such as a being near a handy supermarket, the Skytrain Phrom Phong stop, a hip juice bar, and a small city park] the Cabochon offers this kind of feel in the Thai metropolis. It's not on the famed river, and it's not super luxury. Rather, it's under-the-radar subtle. Hidden down a small alley from that urban mix, the colonial-era building is a sweet spot -- surrounded by lush foliage and filled inside with Asian collectibles. Venture out into the Bangkok chaos, and return back to the chill of the Cabochon, where the genuinely warm staff will greet you with smiles -- more smiles when you order a couple of rounds of mojitos. Relaxed without anyone in your grill. Clean, more than acceptable, not over-priced. And best, it is super understated."Rachamankha: "Absolutely stunning"
"This is a relatively new hotel built in traditional Thai style. It is beautiful - everything about it is beautiful, the architecture, the furniture, the fittings, the ornaments, the swimming pool. Best of all is its location - easily accessible to the main temples in Chiang Mai and within walking distance of the main shopping streets. A small hotel , with friendly staff and comfortable beds. try it - I am sure you cannot fail to be impressed!"Tugu Bali: "The most beautiful hotel in the world"
"I've been so lucky in my life to have stayed in many beautiful hotels, but this is by far my favourite and the most beautiful hotel in the world! The hotel feels so authentic - it's beautifully rustic but still luxurious. The staff are so so friendly, but still very polite and professional - I never once felt as though they were invading my personal space. The food at this hotel is pretty much my benchmark for amazing food - loved every single dish I tried at Tugu. Also loved their relaxed attitude to dining - they would do private dining for us which we could have in the room, on the beach, on the lawn, in the private rooms... pretty much where ever we wanted, it was so lovely. Tugu has so much charm - my husband and I felt totally at home hear and can't wait to go back... someday!"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Characterful boutique hotel"
"When staying in Georgetown you are probably wanting to be immersed in the colonial character of the place, so staying in a beautiful restored mansion with a fascinating history is a logical and excellent choice - one that we did not regret in the slightest. Nor was it particularly expensive compared with other hotel options We enjoyed learning the history by joining the guided tour (free for guests) and were able to admire the décor and feel of the place both at breakfast time and in the lounging area outside the rooms. Our room was in some ways relatively basic but perfectly adequate and again had character. The service was friendly and helpful. The hotel location is good - on the edge of the heritage area and near to an excellent food court dining and entertainment complex. Breakfast selection also good with small buffet and also a la carte choices including some unusual ones such as green tea pancakes. No juices on the buffet but they brought us some freshly squeezed on request. No hesitation to recommend."MesaStila: "Unique and absolutely magical place"
This place is very special, a collection of beautifully resorted traditional Java buildings, set in magnificent grounds, with the focal point being a grand, old Dutch plantation house. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and attend to your every need - you are truly pampered here. Meals were an absolute delight, all made with fresh, organic and locally-sourced ingredients. Our room was huge, beautiful and full of character - especially the amazing mosaic bathtub that could easily have fit three people! You will leave feeling blissfully calm and pampered. Very highly recommended and many thanks for a wonderful stay! The Twelve Hotel: "Excellent!"
Everything was perfect ! we stayed 3 nights and would certainly recommend this establishment. The welcome after a long journey was very nice, and we were very well advised to visit the city. the hotel is decorated with taste, beautiful rooms, and is well located in a quiet and relaxing. After a day of sightseeing, you can relax at the pool. Breakfast is delicious and the cocktails served at the bar too! In short, excellent stay Thanks!Villa Song: "Wonderful Christmas break"
We stayed 4 days at the end of December at the hotel. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free boat shuttle to district one. A nice way to avoid traffic and a great view on the skyline.
