Tandjung Sari: "Nice surprise"
"We spent three nights in Tandjung Sari. Everything was excellent. The room very nice and confortable, the quality of the food very good. The building is very fascinating and rich of history. The garden beautiful and peaceful. We appreciated the quality of the service. The staff was very nice and friendly with our daughters. The path along the beach is very beautiful and you can enjoy the view in every moment of the day. It was a really nice surprise for us."villa song: "elegant colonial house"
We booked the imperial suite and didn't regret it. Huge in size, wonderful bathroom with riverview and 2 balconies, one on the river and a smaller to to poolside. Villa Song Saigon is a peaceful retreat in an elegant area full of colonial houses. We loved the whole interior of the house, this french colonial style, bright and airy. The front desk arranged a private trip for us to the cu chi tunnels, the tour was organized well. Both days, we took the shuttle to town (only bus available when we stayed there), it was a short ride about 15-20 minutes and comfortable. Breakfast was good, also our asian lunch. Snacks are also available by the poolside. We loved our stay here, although it was a bit far out of Saigon Center.Mathis Retreat: "Small, peaceful and calming paradise in the ricefields"
My boyfriend and I started our Bali journey in the heart of the island. After a good hour drive we arrived at the Kenanga Boutique Hotel in Ubud and were totally amazed by it only after a few minutes of our stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud downtown, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the rice fields. A sleep in the traditional-inspired suite made all the anxiety and jetlag disappear, the staff was extremely nice and made us feel very welcome, while the whole atmosphere left us feeling relaxed and peaceful. Beside the outstanding views, Kenanga has the most amazing infinity pool. A swim by the rice field panorama, relaxes your mind in a nicest way possible. I had one of the best breakfasts in there, the food overall was extremely delicious (I would highly suggest you visit their Terra Cotta restaurant for a healthy meal with the best view ever) The hotel was the perfect starting point for exploring the Ubud area (...) The reason more why I would recommend a Kenanga stay is the fact that they are highly connected with the local community, therefore they are helping good local people make their living. The manager was very kind and helpful, providing us with many relevant information. The overall experience exceeded our expectations, a calming and relaxing feel made us forget about the worries and opened the Bali trip we would surely never forget.David’s Kitchen: "Great dining experience at David’s Kitchen"
"My husband and I read the reviews on TripAdvisor and made a reservation at Davids. What a great experience. We met David upon entering the restaurant and welcomed us to his restaurant. He was genuinely engaged in conversation and we knew we would be in for a treat that evening. The food was wonderful, started with the salmon salad and spicy fish salad and both had fish dishes. The restaurant had a great ambiance with an upscale but not stuffy feel. What was really impressive besides having a dinner that was more than just good food, but a great experience was that David sent a follow up email the next day thanking us for dining at his restaurant and wishing us well on our next location on our trip. When does the owner ever send a follow up email?! Bravo, David! We loved the experience and already recommend your restaurant to a friend that is visiting chiang mai soon."Bali Jiwa Villa: "Amazing Experience"
"Wow !! From the minute you arrive at a little carved wooden door set in the middle of a rice field you realise this is like no where else. We rented the two Villas here so had the whole place to ourselves total privacy, peace and seclusion. The Villas and Lounge/Dining area are beautifully constructed and furnished to blend into the landscape lovely comfy beds, large bathrooms plus outdoor bath and shower. Each area has a collection of books about Indonesia lovely local carvings and traditional furniture make you feel like you are staying in someone's home the attention to detail is fantastic. And now the Staff !! You have your own Staff team who look after your every need cooking and serving beautiful Indonesian. There is a small choice at Breakfast and lunch and a lovely home cooked Indonesian Feast in the Evening. This was an unforgettable Balinese experience - hope to return one day. "Satri House: "Practically perfect in every way"
This hotel embodies the Luang Prabang vibe of tranquillity and charm. A small collection of two storey buildings, almost invisible from the road, close enough to the centre that you can easily walk or take one of the hotel bikes (no charge) to get to the main sites, but feels like an oasis of calm, with a couple of nice little swimming pools to cool off in after a hot day visiting temples (or whatever). Spacious, attractive rooms, tastefully furnished. Exceptionally comfortable beds. The breakfast is something to look forward to in itself - great coffee, delicious pastries, perfectly cooked eggs - all appearing minutes after you've ordered. Friendly, helpful staff. I'm rarely this gushing about a hotel but there's nothing not to like about Satri House.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Stunning Views of the Pokhara Mountains"
Our stand-alone bungalow was delightful, decorated in local handicrafts. It had its own patio, where afternoon tea was served. Be sure to do the bird watching tour in the local area if you have time. The service and food were impeccable, the staff will treat you like royalty. The views are to die for!Maisons Wat Kor: "A Small Piece of Paradise"
"Due to a relative which had stayed here last year, we decided to stay at Maisons Wat Kor during our 3 day visit to Battambang. What an excellent choice. It is located on the outskirts of Battambang in a quite neighborhood. If you need/want to go to down town it is only a 5 min. tuk tuk ride, but that said, there is no comparison to the experience at this gem of a place versus the hotels in the busier part of town. The hotel is a couple of years old and comprises only 12 rooms. The property is replete with beautiful plants and shrubs. The garden is incredible. We enjoyed nightly swims in their clean, comfortable pool. The rooms were well furnished. The bed was very firm, but comfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They quickly attended to our every need. They arranged for bike rentals (great idea to see the local neighborhoods) and transportation to Phnom Penh Meals were served in the main house with the dining area being open to the garden area. The food was fresh and good and very nicely presented. This small hotel is intimate and charming, and a perfect place to stay."Manda De Laos: "Special"
This restaurant is very special, it has charm, charisma, but most importantly fantastic food. The setting is amazing and the staff are friendly and efficient. This restaurant is a must if you are in Luang Prabang.Reverie Siam: "Absolutely"
"Go! Go here! You only need a night or two but my what a treat. Every tiny detail of this little haven has been lovingly crafted. The ambience exceeds even the level of the best Disney theme park. The place feels old and new at the same time and In the best ways. The food is a much needed and delicious alternative to the common Thai dishes you find just about everywhere else. Each room is unique and spacious. You should explore the entire space, especially the hidden tea room that overlooks the river. Even if you have to go outside your budget, as we did, this place is a dream worth having. Stayed January 2017"
