Reverie Siam Pai: "Faultless"

"My partner and I stayed at this establishment for 4 nights in October and I am so happy that we chose to come here. This was the end of trip through Vietnam and Cambodia and we both agree that this hotel was one of our highlights. We initially chose the hotel as it is slightly out of Pai which suited as it meant we could dip in and out of the town when we wanted. We had a mountain view room which was gorgeous. The room is decorated in such a way that you feel comfortable straight away and we loved the eccentric little pieces dotted around and attention to detail. The shower was amazing! The actual ground were also amazing and so lovely to walk round. The hidden pavilion is lovely in the daytime to sit by the river, and lit up by fairy lights in the evening it is a beautiful and romantic retreat. But the real thanks must go to the staff. The girls that served our meals were so polite as friendly, they really would go out of their way to help you. The boys that drove the shuttle into town always had a smile on their faces. And without a doubt a huge thank you to the cocktail mixologist boys who made out stay. Their signature cocktails are absolutely amazing and the effort they put into them is second to none. They deserve an award for their skills! Thank you Reverie for a truly memorable stay. And if you are considering whether to stay here all I can say is just book it, you won't regret it."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A piece of paradise"

"Our stay at Neeleshwar was pure pleasure. The bungalow style rooms were wonderfully comfortable with views overlooking the sea - well spaced with lovely verandah and hammock. The service was excellent - the friendly and attentive staff made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Breakfast and dinner by the beach overlooking the Arabian Sea was delicious and the infinity pool and setting invited stunning photographs. Yoga in the morning was an added bonus as was the very experienced tailor who turned around your order in double quick time. The style of the Hermitage is intimate and focuses on excellent service and it is small enough to be able to deliver for each guest. A perfect end to a perfect holiday. Stayed January 2017"

Tugu Bali: "Authentic Bali"

"This hidden juwel is decorated with the most beautiful antiques from Ancient Indonesia, lots of lush greens and an extremely helpfull staff, and the best in room dining experience - really amazing - order the nasi campur, and you will be happy. I stayed in a small villa with a private pool and was happy."

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical stay!"

"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise) Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes. Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made. Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life. Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend. And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world! Locavore: "Another amazing culinary experience in the best restaurant in Bali"

I had another amazing meal, 7 courses, with loads and loads of surprising, creative, interesting and very tasty morsels both at the beginning of the meal and around the dessert course. Presentation is a marvel. As usual I had the "carnivore option," but my two friends opted for the "plant-based option." All of us were pleased beyond expectations. I love oak-otak and Locavore's version, with the duck egg aioli (I guess that is what I would call it) was perhaps the star of my meal, though the old favorite--Into the Sawah--of course was delicious. The special Locavore tomato "soup" was, as always, spectacular. And i love the "freebie" cassava roti too. All seven courses were. My friends raved about their veg tasting menu. And I must admit I was a bit disappointed that I did not choice to have the Banana Blossom. This must become, like Into the Sawah, a main stay of the Locavore team. Service was super friendly and professional. Cannot recommend Locavore highly enough.

Satri House: "Fantastic boutique hotel"

Great service, well maintained, and smoothly run boutique hotel located just 500m from Luang Prabang downtown. Very friendly and discreet service, rooms in good shape and a fine breakfast restaurant as well as good pool and spa services. We'll be back.

Reverie Siam: "Pure indulgence"

"My wife and I absolutely lover our stay here. I would go as far to stay it is the nicest hotel/resort we have ever stayed in. We chose the villa with your own private hot tub looking out over the gardens - highly recommended! The pool areas are gorgeous and peaceful. The food is all top class... Highlights for me were the coconut waffles for lunch and the meat tapas board for a late lunch. Also live music every night was a nice touch when enjoying dinner and wine. We hired a motorbike but the hotel have a free shuttle to take you in and out of Pai. Thanks to all the staff for welcoming us, we had a great time :) "
