jing: "Why did we stay only one night?"
"Actually, the answer to the question in the title of this review is that we didn't have more time to spend on holiday. Our greatest mistake was not having two nights at this lovely hotel. Imam at reception was kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. The room was gorgeous and the courtyards of the hotel are lovely. The hotel is so quiet - it was the best night sleep we had the whole holiday! The breakfast was off a menu and the choices were both Chinese and Western. And both of our choices were delicious. We also decided to eat dinner at the hotel. It was ""upscale"" pricewise, but the food was excellent and well presented. We also were able to try some of the local dishes which we would have missed out on if we were just wandering the streets. We would recommend this hotel to anyone - and we hope that one day we will find ourselves back in the Jing Residence.... "Maduzi Hotel: "Wonderful Stay"
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this most friendly hotel. In effect, I stayed here to join the Half Marathon Running event (with the Starting Point at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre). The hotel took note of this special purpose and provided me with such a great upgraded room. Despite wonderful care, staff members refused to take tips. I had lunch with my running mates at this hotel after finishing the running event. The French food was really terrific and did not cost as much as usually expected of a top-quality hotel like this. Million thanks for all the wonderful services. I certainly plan to come back. Its the best! Tried different restaurants in the area but this one stands out. The food is so tasty! Try it and believe the hype.David’s Kitchen: "Amazing experience"
The food and the ambience were both excellent. We met the owner David who recommended a couple dishes for us to try. My husband had the duck, which he claims was the best he had ever had. I had the squid ink pasta, delicious! Overall experience was great! David made us feel right at home and was sweet enough to give us restaurant recommendations for the countries we are visiting after Thailand. Must try if you’re in Chiang Mai!Rachamankha: "Secret Retreats"
We are so glad choosed Rachamankha for our stay in Chiang Mai, such a elegant and heritage hotel. When arrived hotel, at first sight we thought we are passing by a temple, but its the hotel!! Just from the entrance we have been wowed. Architecturally is fusion of Thai and Chinese. Along the way we can see the landscape such as pine tree obviously growth in a chinese aesthetics way and the architectural pattern similar like Chinese quadrangle courtyard(四合院), but just a turn to another way, we can clearly recognize stong feature of northern thai style, and both are combined harmoniously. Many pantings and art collection you can find anywhere in the hotel, further more above the restautant there is a gallery of the owner. Room was smaller than what I expect, but nicely decorated with chinaware, very classic wardrobe, made me feel pass through to acient, just can't stop take photo of it. Superior room only provide standing shower and its fixed shower head which I feel a bit out dated, amenities is excllent, my partner love the smell made from thai herbs. I will definetly return to Rachamankha when next visit to Chiang Mai, and recommend to my family and friends.Locavore: "Great cuisine"
"Tolle Küche , viele Überraschungen . Hat Spaß gemacht . Super vegi Menü . Toller Service mit außergewöhnlichen Cocktails . Ein muss in Ubud ."Sukoon Houseboat: "Perfect choice for Dal Lake"
We planned to spend 4 nights on a houseboat on Lake Dal and spent much time reading TA reviews and reviews from other sites. We selected the Sukoon based on these reviews and the new construction as we feared older boats may have a musty and damp smell. After looking at so many other boats during our 5 days on Lake Dal we are sure we made the correct decision. The service was professional, the rooms as described -- new. clean and well appointed. The food was good and the meal service superb. Customer service was a high point. A real plus for the Sukoon was the location at the far end of the lake away from almost all houseboats. This is important as most boats are located in a chock-a-block fashion with little if any privacy. They arranged our tours and other needs. We would definitely choose the Sukoon when we return and return we will as Srinagar is a fabulous destination that deserves more the 5 days. Our only regret was not having arranged airport pick up ahead of time. The airport arrival area is chaotic to say the least due to security procedures and most taxi drivers had no idea where the Sukoon was located --- there are well over 500 houseboats on the lake so this would be expected.Tandjung Sari: "Lovely experience"
"Our stay at Tandjung Sari was wonderful We were looked after very well by the beautiful staff at this special Hotel. Our room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and an delightful outdoor shower. Breakfast each morning was very good with enough options to have something different each day. If you are looking for a place on a beautiful beach to unwind, relax and be completely spoiled then this is the place for you. Tandjung Sari is so much more than a hotel. We will be back!"Le Calao: "New restaurant with river view"
A lovely new restaurant with the view of the river. Friendly service and great food. It was recommended by our hotel staff and did not disappoint.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Restaurant Jewel in Yangon, Myanmar"
After 3 visits for dinner I am still amazed that this fine dining restaurant is so close to us in Yangon. My husband and I will surely access it from the Lake Inya side in our kayaks soon, but coming by car works well too. The owners are Swiss and the standards of food and service are impeccable. The food is international, utilizing local ingredients to offer a blend of Burmese and European specialities. Their tasting menus, with or without wine, are a gastronomic joy and as a pescaterian I am thrilled by the choices of fish entries and fresh produce. Sitting by the Lake with a cocktail at sunset is very romantic so this restaurant is the best choice for couples. We even saw a wedding party there recently. Definitely worth the effort to get there!Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
