Rachamankha: "Loved it!"

Review by: TravellingWeasels | Source: Trip Advisor
Rachamankha has it all: it's in a prime location (near all the temples) but it's really peaceful and quiet. The pool is perfect, and the library is a really cool asset. Breakfast is highly recommended too. All in all, our stay was perfect!

Tugu Bali: "Cooking class at Hotel Tugu in Canggu"

Review by: Deja K | Source: Trip Advisor
Best cooking class in Canggu! Good value for an excellent experience. I'm actually writing this review on behalf of my parents, who took a private cooking class (but were not guests at the hotel). The hospitality, beautiful setting, instruction and food were all outstanding. They learned the traditional preparation of three Javanese dishes from natural fresh ingredients down to every detail, like making milk from coconut meat. They made beautiful pictures and brought home the leftover food (which we all enjoyed) and the recipes.

Mume: "Nice restaurant and fantastic food"

Really like the food here! Amazing and surprising for ingredients. I visited twice this year and dessert changed impressing me again!

Jing’s Residence: "Amazing stay"

Review by: bez927 | Source: Trip Advisor
Amazing stay in a beautiful hotel, furnished with a delicate taste, managed by a dedicated and welcoming staff. A place we do recommend to everyone willing to retire from buzzling china and yet still experience china…

Samanea Beach Resort: "Fantastic relaxing place"

Review by: Nici N | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed for 10 days and had a peaceful experience. Staff are very friendly and helpful rooms are beautiful and spacious. Loved taking the kayak into the bay. We stayed with two teenage daughters who loved it too- highly recommend this if you are looking for somewhere quiet as not much near to do, but only 15 minutes in a tuk tuk to the crab market area for food

Heritage Suites Hotel: "Perfect Location and Stunning Boutique Hotel!"

Review by: MichieBourne | Source: Trip Advisor
"On arrival, there are two lovely old vintage cars parked in the drive of this authentic hotel, which is located far enough away from the tourist part of town, but near enough to everything you need! We had a bungalow suite which is really large and not only has a nice comfortable bed with good pillows and linens, but there is a large bath with petals if one wants, plus a large walk in shower, and also a sauna on the other side! There is a separate toilet off the lounge area, and a garden area outside, so that you have everything you need! The swimming pool is really nice and we spent a very pleasant afternoon there. There is a fabulous restaurant called Marum, which is a training restaurant just at the bottom of the road, where we had a great meal, and there are also some good laundries nearby within walking distance. The service at the hotel is really good, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. My only negative comment is that we would have preferred a larger breakfast menu, as you have to order and is not a buffet, so limited options. Also, we were given a free 15 min massage each, which is very nice gesture, but when my husband, who didn’t want his, asked to give it to me so I could have 30 mins, they couldn’t do this as wasn’t policy! Notwithstanding that, I had a lovely relaxing massage. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap, as you really get the feel for the area, better than staying in one of the large chain hotels which were all very near the airport, on one long stretch of road. We also ate at Maris restaurant, and were lucky to get a reservation at Cuisine Wat Damnak, the best restaurant there! But you must book from the UK for that one. All in all, a great choice of hotel, we could get a Tuk tuk easily into town, and a visit to the night market and the old quarter is well worthwhile, in fact get the tuk tuk to give you a tour around town for $5, is great fun!"

Maison Polanka: "Ideal base in Siem Reap"

Review by: ozkong | Source: Trip Advisor
"To us, Maison Polanka is the ideal type of place to stay. With only a maximum of 10 guests in luxuriant grounds of 6000 sq m, it provides a tranquil oasis to rest after the jostle of Angor Wat. This creates an intimate atmosphere where one gets the chance to interact with both staff & other guests. The Sala next to the pool is a very pleasant place to have a quiet dinner. Both dinners we had there and also the breakfasts were excellent. We went out to the nearby Marun Restaurant (where marginalized kids are trained to work in hospitality) because we wanted to support the cause."

Tugu Bali: "Privileged Experience – this is not a hotel, this is a magnificent passion"

Review by: supermarketers | Source: Trip Advisor
I have just returned from a magnificent adventure at Hotel Tugu. I relucantly handed the GM my sword room key as she waved me out the door. I'm not sure what to say, I have travelled to Bali with my grandparents since I was a kid in the 70's and for me the hotel bought back all those fond memories. Tugu is for connecting to the real Bali and I felt privileged to be able to experience it. This is a not a hotel, this is a special place, built by a special man and run by special people. Architecture, culture and history preserved. I felt like I was leaving my second home..... I cannot thank you all enough.

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Beautiful, peaceful, authentic Bali"

Review by: Avalee W | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed three nights here with my husband and our two teenage sons. Nestled in a beautiful valley with views to the across lush green rice paddies and mountains covered with clove trees and palms, Sanak provides a chance to experience the best of rural Bali. It's a long and windy drive over the mountains from the south but well worth it. With just 11 villas, this feels like a boutique retreat offering a fairly unique experience. Most guests are there for the peace and beauty of the place and many guests take the opportunity to do guided walks, treks or canoeing - we did a waterfall walk and a canoeing trip and both were reasonably priced and well worth while, with excellent local guides. Most of the staff are from the local villages and you get the sense that they take great pride in the resort. The villas are lovely with a truly Balinese flavour and the cool evening breeze makes sleeping comfortable without air con - once you adjust to the sounds of dogs and roosters! The restaurant offers a limited menu but the food is of a very good standard and there is enough variety for a stay of a few days. Our whole family loved Sanak's simple elegance and we take away lovely memories of a special part of Bali. Thank you.
