Les Maisons d’Itac: "Best place we stayed in the Philippines"

"Me and my gf spent 4 nights at Les Maisons d'Itac. We were supposed to stay for 3, we loved the place so much we decided to stay 1 more night (we couldn't stay longer as the Mayson Ulisse was not available anymore, so we kept our travel plan on). What can we say? Bryan (who spoke italian, we're italians and we have very charming and nice conversations during our stay) has been the perfect host. Always ready to help, charmful and totally welcoming. We booked our trasfers to Bantayan and back to Cebu through him and it was just perfect! The food at the maisons is great, the location awsome. They have an amazing spot for snorkelling just in front of the resort that you can reach in a few mins swimming. What makes this place special (apart from the view, the nature around, the sea) is the SILENCE. In almost a month in the Philippines we never found such a relaxing spot, where you can fall asleep at night hearing at the waves sounds. A true dream come true. If you're looking for a place to stay around Moalboal (it can be reached in 25 minutes scooter ride from the resort, you can rent just asking Bryan) DO NOT HESITATE to book a stay at the Maisons. p.s: say hi to Itac and Stacey for us :) Ciao! Supanniga Eating Room: "Delcious Authentic Thai Food"

You need to call ahead for a reservation at this small yet wonderful restaurant. They advertise Grandma's secret recipes and they do not disappoint. Great service and very yummy food with those wonderful, distinctive Thai flavors. If you want the real deal, come here.

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Idyllic"

"This is our second time that my family and I have stayed at Sea Dance, Koh Samui and I can say with much sincerity that Poy and his wonderful staff have outdone themselves yet again. We stayed 3 years ago whilst still having that familiar feeling, Poy has added a lot of extra features to make our stay even more memorable. First of all, there were lots of familiar faces amongst the staff who made sure our children had enough to eat whilst our hands were always holding a delicious, refreshing cocktail. Thanks Kwan you are the best. The addition of the international menu ensured all our families taste buds were met. The buffet breakfast was awesome with so much choice with the hot food cooked in front of you. Secondly, the welcome addition of fun and friendly Faith ensured all our needs were met finding family entertainment for our children. For us, the location is idyllic being 350 meters from the main road you are ensured that your stay is a peaceful one whilst being surrounded by a secluded beach which makes it perfect for snorkeling and canoeing. The view of the ocean from the main pool is stunning with the water splashing gently against the oceans rocks make it a great back drop for spectacular sunsets. We stayed in a lovely villa with a plunge pool which was perfect for our family. The villa was spotless with housekeeping making sure it was clean every day. Thank you. A particular highlight was the band that played on Sunday afternoon whilst we ate a delicious seafood buffet. The atmosphere was amazing great tunes, and company with great cocktails. The band continued on into the night singing songs from all eras. For us, Sea Dance is a home away from home where you are treated like family and always feel so welcome. We will definitely return. Glenburn Tea Estate: "Fantastic retreat in the mountains"

Having read the reviews, we were not looking forward to the road transfer from the airport up to Glenburn but it really wasn't too bad at all and definitely worth it. We were warmly greeted by Will & Faye and they continued to look after us very well during our 4 night stay. We enjoyed the communal meals and we met some very interesting guests. The location was perfect, amazing views and our room lovely. The food was good and every effort was made to accommodate special requests (we had scones and specially made Portuguese tarts) We did a couple of the escorted walks which we really enjoyed. We also took much advantage of the free laundry service! A faboulous property and we had a wonderful time.

The Island Lodge: "Wonderful honeymoon stay at the Island Lodge"

We stayed at the island lodge for one night to give us an opportunity to explore the Mekong delta. Our stay was very relaxing, the room was beautiful and very clean, the pool and sauna facilities were also pleasant and relaxing. We opted to go on a tour to the unicorn and Phoenix islands nearby in My Tho, guided by a member of the hotel staff. The tour was great for finding out more about the Mekong delta culture, and we bought some of the local coconut sweets and honey to take home too!

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A wonderful experience filled with lessons"

"The scenic view of the forest along the riverbank, the serenity of the untamed Koh Kong wilderness, and the natural beauty that surrounds 4 Rivers is what makes this place a paradise hidden in the wild. My visit to 4 Rivers was for our school trip, and it was also my first time going to Koh Kong. As a city girl, the hustle and bustle of the city is what I'm used to and, frankly speaking, it's also what I'm tired of. This trip was my opportunity to get faraway from my urban surroundings for a while, so jumping onto that opportunity is what I did. What ensued was a three-day trip full of tranquility, exhilaration, and adventure. For however long it lasted, the trip to 4 Rivers was an unforgettable experience. We were taken care of very well; in the sense of what precautions to take during our stay at a resort located in primitive areas. The food there is also very well prepared, and is very delicious. The staff was very friendly, and would always try to check in with us to see how we're doing. In addition, 4 Rivers not only helps to protect the environment, but are also supportive of the local community's lifestyle. They provide jobs for the Tatai villagers, and seek help in anyway they can for the local residences. During my stay there, I got to meet people who are not only dedicated to what they do, but are also firm in their determination and beliefs in their work. They were very generous yet outgoing, and that made me feel right at home. The staff at 4 Rivers are people who has a level head on their shoulders, yet their wild spirit welcomes all. To me, 4 Rivers is like a home away from civilization, where everyone is welcomed and accepted, no matter what. It's a place where passion resides, where hardwork blossoms, where integrity ripens."

Tugu Bali: "Great service, friendly atmosphere, and beautiful property"

"Service was outstanding from my arrival until my departure. Wonderful welcome, complimentary welcome drink and afternoon tea with tasty cakes. Stayed in the Dedari suite which had a nice private pool and outdoor shower area, with a separate room for the toilet. Spacious room, comfortable bed, beautiful flowers, and a nice fruit basket. I cannot stress how wonderful and accommodating the staff was! Had plenty of help bringing all my bags to my room and also had a bicycle which I had forgotten was muddy from my long ride that day. I asked if they had a hose where I could wash it and they were kind enough to take it and wash it for me, have never had that type of service anywhere! Food was fabulous! Enjoyed the ""Royal Tugudom"" dinner experience, a ""Grand Ceremonial Dining of the Majapahit Kingdom"" with our own ceremony and huge feast in the ""Bale Puputan"" room. There were only 3 of us so it was way too much food, would have been better for a larger group of people, but what an experience it was! Got treated as royalty and more great service during dinner, was truly a great meal. Breakfast was wherever we wanted it- in our room, on the beach, inside, in the garden, really anywhere. We chose a shady spot in the garden which was perfect and had a nice breeze. Enjoyed the beach afterward and a nice dip in my room pool and the main hotel pool. Lots to enjoy at this hotel! Wish we had more time to explore the area and all the amenities and history of the hotel. To top off our great stay we received a departure fruit basket with water for each of us to enjoy on our drive to the airport. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a great experience and wonderful stay! Hope to return one day..."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Quaint Resort"

Wonderful resort with picturesque view...away from city noise and busy life, you enjoy beauty of nature. On the shore of Arabian Sea the resort is very peaceful... spacious rooms with open courtyard bathroom , overlooking sea what else one can ask for. Cordial, friendly and efficient staff ... always smiling and ready to serve you . Variety of food not much but what they give you is all fresh, healthy and tasty. They have infinity pool almost connected with beach. Lot of greenery and different variety of flowers keep you happy. Onam festival was near so they did amazing flower decoration. If someone wants calm holiday then this is the perfect choice.
