David’s Kitchen: "Brilliant international food in Chiang Mai with a personal touch"
"Just as all the other reviews say, the food is FANTASTIC - and, I'm quite particular when it comes to food and wine. Highly recommend the Tuna Niciose and the Pumpkin Soup. There's a great vibe in the restaurant, and that comes from the fact that a lot of love goes into running it - this comes through in the atmosphere and the food so clearly. Thanks for a lovely night, David and team - and all the best in your beautiful new location in Chiang Mai!"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing"
"A huge thank you to Praneeth, Sajith and the rest of the staff in making this one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had in Sri Lanka. We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of our road trip and saw it all: Leopards, herds of elephants, huge crocodiles and water buffaloes wallowing in the mud, painted storks and large egrets, just for the prettiness and so much more! Last but not least, a young sloth bear eating termites at dusk . We leave with the utmost respect and admiration for the team and the effort they put in to, not only giving you the time of your life but also in creating awareness and conservation of wildlife and habitat. We have lived Sri Lanka for a number of years and this was our first Safari - but definitely not the last Well done!!"Manda De Laos: "Be cautious"
"First of all the place is lovely, set around 3 Lilly ponds. At night the lights are magical.try and book a pond side booth or table. The food: the portions are very large, the menu tempting but try not to over order. Food highlights: the Luang Prabang salad with Scott egg( a perfect one plate lunch in itself.the tanguy duck was perfectly cooked but the tarmarind sauce could have been richer. The pork and watercress soup was devine. Service was spot on and the new French manager was delightful. Budget on 850,000 for 2 with wine water and service Perfect for a romantic dinner/ celebration"Sandat Glamping Tents: "Luxury Hideaway next to rice paddies & jungle"
We stayed in one of the villas which shares a pool with 3 others. The accommodation was gorgeous - bedroom above plus semi open air bathroom and day bed area downstairs and beautiful decor, art & landscaping throughout the property. The boutique nature of the venue meant that the restaurant & lounge were calm but service and food still excellent. Given that this is nestled into the jungle, frogs & other wildlife were pretty noisy through the night but that added to the charm for us. We also enjoyed a private yoga class with a super teacher in the yoga pavilion early morning.Mathis Retreat: "Lo mejor del viaje"
"The site is wonderful, the extra staff helpful and amiable, the room was a small village with great privacy despite being next to the pool and restaurant. Life takes a different pace being there. Rice paddies, duck, peasants tilling the fields, the sunsets ... film. The very new room had every comfort, a spectacular tub and a huge, new shower. Hopefully we can come back some other time. Super recommended! "Villa Song Saigon: "Perfect River Side Restaurant"
The river is just beside the dinning area. The building, I feel there's a french romance in it. I found so many corners of it can make good seats. With some drinks and nice food, I had a perfect afternoon here!Sanak Retreat Bali: "Idyllic retreat"
Our family of four loved it here. Beautiful scenery, pool and the staff are so friendly, calm and wanting to make your holiday enjoyable. The food was excellent. We did the walk to the waterfall which was impressive and clean. We relished swimming under it after becoming hot from walking. And in the afternoon we all indulged in the most wonderful massages. My therapist was calming and such a sweet lady. Totally recommend this boutique retreat in the hills.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Our happy place"
"We have spent 6 days at Golden Buddha in December 2015 and it has been one of the best Holiday experiences so far. The location is fantastic, the staff and the management are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is very familiar and relaxed. Food, drinks and services (e.g. Thai Massage) are great and our Baan was also stunning. Hopefully we can come back one day."Satri House: "Impeccable"
Excellent is the word to describe this accomodation. We stayed three nights in the junior suite and found everything was stellar, room, food, pool and staff. One thing to mention, among others, is excellent breakfast. Sterling bread, croissants, yogurt and jam are hand-made by an elegant lady at the accomodation, who went to French school before revolution and so speaks French. We ate dinner as well one evening, which was also pretty niceSEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Restaurant Jewel in Yangon, Myanmar"
After 3 visits for dinner I am still amazed that this fine dining restaurant is so close to us in Yangon. My husband and I will surely access it from the Lake Inya side in our kayaks soon, but coming by car works well too. The owners are Swiss and the standards of food and service are impeccable. The food is international, utilizing local ingredients to offer a blend of Burmese and European specialities. Their tasting menus, with or without wine, are a gastronomic joy and as a pescaterian I am thrilled by the choices of fish entries and fresh produce. Sitting by the Lake with a cocktail at sunset is very romantic so this restaurant is the best choice for couples. We even saw a wedding party there recently. Definitely worth the effort to get there!Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
