Glenburn Tea Estate: "Relaxing"
"This hotel is excellent, I will certainly return. From the pick up at the airport, tea on route and the well appointed rooms I really can't fault it, the views from anywhere in the hotel are breathtaking, the food, although limited in choice is excellent, if you like walking and enjoy peace and quite this would be a great choice, additionaly the tea plantation and working factory are a great visit. Room Tip: A room with walk in shower is a good choice"Flower Island: "Simply Amazing"
"If you are looking for a place to truly relax, that is off the beaten path, and want to be surrounded by friendly mellow guests and attentive, caring staff, then this is the place for you. Flower Island is not like the other crowded resorts in Palawan. This is truly a place where you will chill and relax. For those that can’t sit still there is snorkeling (great reef just steps from your room), kayaks, SUPs, pearl farm tour and trekking around the island to keep you occupied. Definitely worth the time and investment. I highly recommend this place!!"Cuca: "Is worth the drive…excellent Tapas"
"The food and cocktails are excellent ! Totally worth the drive. First we start with the cocktail. They are tasty and pretty to the eyes. The tapas are creative and tasty. We love the Bravas, Black squid ""risotto"". Black squid ""risotto"" is made of finely cut squid instead of rice. It is yummy and it gives a different texture as compared to normal risotto. Bravas - Tempeh with sundried tomato gives a nice taste to the usually blend tempeh. Their garden setting is nice and should the weather permit, it will be nice to dine there. Good service as well !"Locavore: "A must-experience in Ubud"
My husband and I had a truly memorable dining experience at Locavore during our honeymoon to Bali just two weeks ago. Not only is the food incredible and service superb, but the local ingredients provide such an amazing introduction to the place, time and history of this part of the world. We enjoyed dinner at Locavore on our first night in town and it colored the entire trip. In fact, we loved it so much that we stopped in at The Rooster (their bar across the street) and Locavore To Go (their grab-and-go spot just a few doors down) over the next few days. Do not miss this spot on your trip. Worth every single penny.Manda De Laos: "Fantastic food and location"
We stayed right across the road from this restaurant and so decided to splash out a bit and have a meal here. The restaurant setting was beautiful. We walked in without a reservation and were given a table right by the lily pond - however it is low season at the moment and we went quite early (around 6pm). The food was superb! The starters were definitely the highlight - we had the traditional sausage and the papaya salad with melting pork both of which were delicious!! It's definitely expensive for SE Asia, but we really enjoyed our meal here and would go back. We paid around £45 for two courses and a cocktail each for two people.Supanniga Eating Room: "Wonderful food"
We went here on our last night in Bangkok and it was great. Highlight of the meal was the deep fried lotus root and mushroom, served with a sweet mango sauce.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Relaxation at its best!"
"In real estate it all about location location and location. My husband and I stayed for three days escaping the hustle of Shanghai. Once you arrive at the lodge you realize all the troubles of modern city life just doesn't matter. Each guest becomes a member of your extended family as you hold exciting conversations about their travels over a delicious dinner that changes everyday. Around 9pm everything just goes silent and you will get some of the best sleep you ever had in your life. If you can rise in the morning as the sun climbs over the mountain and enjoy the coolness of the start of the day. Breakfast have a stabled set but staff is willing to alternate for your taste. We decided to see a local school along the river and it makes you appreciate the efforts of the teachers and students to make their society a better place. There are other trips like to the waterfalls and fisherman village that we did on previous visits. A note to travelers, the Tatai waterfalls isnt as strong in Feb due to it not being raining season (we also visited 4Rivers in Sept of 2013 and you get a wonderful natural massage as the water cascades on your body). Visiting 4Rivers gives you an added perspective of life in Cambodia and is a must see on your life list! Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Mathis: "Amazing and memorable stay"
We had our wedding in Bali and our bridal party and guests stayed at villa Mathis. Thanks to Bruno, Frederic, Vivi and the team our guests had the most amazing and memorable stay. The grounds and rooms at Mathis are so unique and beautiful with a French Balinese design over a tropical jungle setting. The restaurant food is amazing with French chefs serving top quality French inspired food and of course some famous Balinese dishes. The hospitality of Fred and Vivi was first class and was accommodating to any request. thanks for everything highly recommend itMathis Retreat: "Great get away"
"If you're a couple looking for a quite & complete getaway from the loud to be lazy, then this is the place! Nice cozy rooms and the balcony will certainly make you feel relaxed. Having your breakfast with a panoramic view of the rice fields definitely adds value to your stay. There aren't much happening around & location may appear remote from Ubud centre, yet the shuttle service may solve your concerns. If you need ideas Karine will help you with attractions and tours, was a great idea consulting with her for our stay!"Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
