The Island Lodge: "A SMALL PARADIS"
It was the end of our trip and we did not have much time. Nevertheless, we wanted to see the Mekong Delta. After some Internet research, I wanted to come to this lodge. In addition, it was not too far from HCMC. They sent a car. When you arrive, you wonder where you are. And you discover the lodge: an incredible location along the Mekong (private jetty), an incredible design with beautiful objects everywhere. gorgeous room with a view ... wonderful, warm pool. Attentive staff. Kitchen (in Vietnamese or French choice) delicious. We did a fantastic treatment at Spa. There are lots of activities on offer. We opted for the tour of the island next to bicycle and boat. It was beautiful and enjoyable. Anyway, congratulations to Michel and Françoise have created this little corner of dreams where everything is perfect, for which we have only one regret: not to stay longer. Thank you all for having contributed to the excellence of our trip. Helene and Jean-Michel VerdonNeeleshwar Hermitage: "A piece of heaven"
"This is my second visit to Neeleshwar Hermitage and by the looks of it won't be my last. The weather was perfect and the hospitality was perfect and thoughtful. Check in was smooth - they even kept the restaurant open past its timings for my arrival which was very thoughtful of them. Libin and Sharath at the restaurant were very good. The food on the first day was fabulous (some great grilled fish and prawn curry). On the rest of the days it was just ok though the breakfast was very good. I also really enjoyed my morning coffee on the veranda. The pool is perfect, there were no intrusions and my request for drinks were quickly attended to. The cottage room is big and comfortable and i got some well deserved rest. The only disappointment was that the restaurant by the beach was closed because of the monsoons, though I must say their main restaurant is beautifully done up. The resort itself is very beautiful with views of the crashing waves of the ocean. Overall it is a great place to get some rest and get away from hectic schedules. The staff go way out of their way to make you comfortable without being intrusive in any manner. I really appreciated the efforts they put in to make sure I had a good holiday and I was very impressed. My sincere thanks to them all. My only recommendation is that more boards be put up on the main road so that the resort is easier to locate. The resort is 2.5 hours from Mangalore airport which is quite a ride. As a tip i would recommend that guests call up the resort for their bookings and you might get a great deal like i did! A slice of heaven on earth -not to be missed for those looking for a relaxing holiday! https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g1809068-d1204939-r382338334-Neeleshwar_Hermitage-Kasaragod_Kerala.html#"The Governor’s House: "An oasis in Phnom Penh"
"Went to Phnom Penh for 3 nights on a business trip. This was my second trip to the city and checked into The Governor's House. Initially somewhat difficult to locate which caused some distress. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Tucked away just off a main thoroughfare, it is an oasis from the mad traffic of Phnom Penh. The establishment has only 12 rooms. After all it was a residence. And it certainly retained that warm homely feel. Once inside gate, one would enter into an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity - save for the play school next door. One may be deceived to think that this is an isolated location. There is a local market within a few minutes walk which offers a very interesting insight into the local life. I would recommend a morning visit. The establishment staff are warm and friendly adding to the homely atmosphere. While The Governor's House lacks the upscale look of other establishments near the tourist area closer to the river and palace, the warmth and tranquillity of this establishment more than make up for it. I will be coming back to The Governor's House again, soon."Villa Song Saigon: "Excellent"
We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. Staying at Villa Song Saigon is a treat. The tasteful food, the very friendly staff, the spacious and clean room, the relaxed atmosphere and the spa all helped to make our stay very pleasant. A speedboat brings you to district 1, free of charge and tour operators will come pick you up with their boats in the morning so not to have you get stuck in traffic. It's a wonderful way of travelling, i must admit.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Island paradise with luxury eco feel"
Stumbled across Golden Buddha through a family recommendation and had the most fantastic time. The staff were fabulous, food magnificent and the accommodation was truly unique.highly recommend to anyone who wants to getaway from the world for a bit and fully recharge.Rachamankha: "Secluded heaven"
This hotel is wonderful. Although Chiang Mai is nothing like Bangkok in terms of traffic it is Thailand's second largest city and can be very busy in places. This hotel in the old town is down a really quiet street yet you can walk to the temples, shopping areas etc very easily. It is beautiful - you can tell that it has been designed by architects. The staff are helpful and polite. The whole place exudes calm. Our room was lovely and the pool area is just stunning and never seems to be that busy. Breakfast was fantastic and we ate there one night and had a great dinner too. I would definitely stay here again when in Chiang Mai.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "If you need a place to forget time"
"Imagine classical music playing while you are having delicious homemade breakfast , watching the green fields and mountains looming over the horizon. Imagine privacy, luxury and great hospitality combined, as you relax in a refreshing pool and bath in the sun. Imagine, different spots within the resort that you could slow down, read a book, feed the fish and realign your thoughts. That, is Rice and Zen. This resort has it all. This was a perfect place to spend my birthday with a couple of close frens. Recommended to rent a car for ease of convenience and to try out other fabulous restaurants such as Arbutso and Vivobene"Locavore: "Still surprised after reading all the reviews about Locavore"
"It doesn't happen to me very often, but in this case the atmosphere and expectations raised by the reviews of hundreds of Tripadvisor members did not reflect the genuine experience we had by dining at Locavore. This kind of intro-paragraph will mostly precede a rather negative and contrary viewpoint but in this case I must say the evening we spend here was truly mesmerising. The amuse-bouches were drenched in local flavours even though some fitted on my fingernails. Imagine with that the 'Ashes' cocktail (you will indeed put a burning stick into the concoction, thus releasing a fair bit of ashes in your drink) and culinaire paradise in coming into wide view. The mains - we went for the 7 courses menu - were a mixed bag with caffeinated fish as a weird but surprisingly good part of it. Overall it is the combination of the nouvelle-cuisine presentation on the dishes combined with the exotic, original and authentic taste of local ingredients (chili pepper flowers, anyone?) that made this a very special evening for the both of us. Do try the Balinese coffee at the end. With a total bill of around 2.700.000, including two glasses of excellent Sangiovese, we probably spent more than half the average salary of the people working there, but as this works out at 160 Euro it was money more than well spend."SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Exceptional service"
The waiters were very helpful and explained in details on the dishes. Food was delicious and well prepared. Atmosphere was good. Chef personally greeted us a few times at the table and even walked us to the door when we left.Slow Villas and Spa: "A very private and very chic hideout that is difficult to beat"
"We stayed in Slow Vilas last week of July 2016. Tucked away in a more remote part of Gili Air, Slow was the perfect place that combines desert-island and experience with locals and the highest quality of comfort, local antique furnishing and charm. We felt Slow was right at the other end of the spectrum of an impersonal resort, where everything is designed to work with the local community, local taste and eco-friendliness. The hard-working expat' Julie running the place has a strong enough personality to transmit her energy and passion for her desert-island project / concept into her guests ; while making sure that everything is run to the highest standards to keep everyone happy. This is truely one not to be missed. Island-bliss..."
