Reverie Siam: "Loved it and will definitely come back"

Review by: Diana_Hubbell | Source: Trip Advisor
"This hotel came strongly recommended by a friend and I wasn't disappointed. Though it's not far from the relatively busy center of Pai (the resort provides a free shuttle service), the Reverie Siam feels like a different world. It's perfectly peaceful, with nothing but mountains and green fields as far as the eye can see. There's a lovely colonial aesthetic to the place and an attention to detail that I really enjoyed (books left open to specific passages in rooms, benches engraved with quotes). The staff honestly couldn't have been more thoughtful. From arranging a dinner reservation and dropping me at the restaurant to purchasing bus tickets and making sure I got a good seat for my return journey, they definitely went the extra mile to make my time more enjoyable. The breakfast, which comes with options like cappuccino French toast with caramelized mango, is also a big plus. I'm looking forward to coming back here. It's the perfect spot to curl up for a weekend and I'd happily recommend it to anyone."

Rachamankha: "Slice of heaven in Chiang Mai"

Review by: Michishellie | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel was absolutely beautiful and a refuge to come home to after a day strolling the busy streets of Chiang Mai. There is always a wonderful aroma of incense around the property...I think it was Sandalwood, but nevertheless was just delicious. The rooms were spacious and the bed was so comfortable, again after a long day. The lounges that surround the property are also delightful and I just wish I had had more time to sit and read and enjoy a drink while enjoying the decor. It is an elegant property, yet not stuffy and very welcoming.

Reverie Siam: "Best Boutique Hotel"

Review by: Clara R | Source: Trip Advisor
Wow, it is one of the nicest boutique hotels I have ever visited! I really recommend it! Enjoyable, luxurious and comfortable. Nice service, nice food, nice rooms and nice atmosphere as well. Also the village Pai is nice

tugu bali: "High quality hotel with strong historical identity"

Review by: yvesballe | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We enjoyed very much Tugu Hotel for the beginning of our honeymoon with my wife, through a three nights stay. The particularity of Tugu Hotel is that it is also a kind of museum with valuable and well designed pieces of furniture, decorations and paintings. Rooms are like small houses with an internal private courtyard and a swimming pool. The garden is also well designed with nice statues coming from ages. The staff is nice: everyone in the hotel knew our names since the beginning for instance. "

Jing’s Residence: "Little bit of paradise in Pingyao"

Review by: latestfilly | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Jing's residence is a lovely hotel right in the center of Pingyao. Pingyao itself is quite noisy, however you don't hear this at all inside the hotel. We booked a courtyard suite, which was actually two courtyard rooms converted into one room, with bedroom, sitting room, walk in wardrobe and bathroom. All very nice and the complimentary mini bar was a nice touch too, plus there is a turn-down service on a night. We ate in the restaurant which it is the most expensive restaurant in Pingyao by far but we really enjoyed the food, service and having the entire restaurant to ourselves! would recommend. We also had the afternoon tea which contained a selection of savory and sweet finger food (local to the area), along with Chinese tea of your choice. The ginger and lemon tea is particularly nice! The staff at the Jing's are all very efficient, pleasant and happy to help - a feat you do not normally get in China so this makes it stand out straight away. Would 100% recommend this hotel, its worth the extra pennies!"

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Hidden Gem"

Review by: Slipper2 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Dear Marcus and team, we had such a lovely stay....2 nights just wasn't enough. Fantastic rooms, stunning views, out of this world food, great birdlife, informative nature walks, such friendly locals, a beautiful pool and a world class host. We'll be back. Oli, Sam, Jonathan & Sonya "

Cuca: "Sharing food was a good idea"

Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Nice and Cozy"

Review by: May O | Source: Trip Advisor
"I went on the cruise in late winter (beginning of Jan), still not that hot and humid. Went on the cruise at Their small eating room which is nice location and nice traditional Thai food. Cruise Staff is really nice and smiley, drinks are good. Fantastic decoration. Love it!!"

The River Resort: "Great place to relax"

Review by: Navin R | Source: Trip Advisor
I was in search of a place that I could relax and do some writing and this place could not have served the purpose better. I initially booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 10 nights, the surrounding is exquisite, the staff is on top of their game and the sunsets are stunning. Every evening during the rainy season there is an amazing chorus of crickets - its like an orchestra playing. If you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and clear your mind this place is it. The rooms are super clean with an inside and outside shower, the bed is super comfy and there are two infinity swimming pools but the river. I miss this place and would definitely go back there again.

Mathis Retreat: "An Oasis of Calm"

Review by: photogirlnz | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at Mathis Retreat for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. I found the centre of Ubud very hectic and a little overwhelming but coming back to Mathis every night was heaven. Located around a 5 minute drive from the centre of Ubud, Mathis Retreat overlooks beautiful rice paddy fields and has its own enclosure for the gorgeous ducks (a personal favourite) and it was so peaceful. We stayed in a garden bungalow and it was beautiful, the decor was gorgeous, it was spacious and private. Only minor flaws, we found the lighting very dim, while romantic, it was hard to find things in the bottom of our suitcases and there was a little noise from scooters going up & down the dirt road next to the resort, but this was only minor and as that road only services other accommodation it's usually quiet from 10pm onwards. The food at Terracotta Restaurant was delicious, we loved dining for breakfast and dinner overlooking the rice paddies. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, beautiful smiling faces every time we saw them. As this is a boutique resort it isn't hugely busy like large resorts and nabbing a spot by the pool was easy, no lounge chair reserving needed! Initially I was worried about the volcanic threat at Mt Agung as the alert level had been raised to the highest level, but I needn't be, Mathis is a long way away and life in Ubud carried on as per usual.
