Arumdalu: "Isolated natural beauty"
I visited with my wife for a weekend getaway from Jakarta, and found this to be a wonderful tonic for hectic traffic and work stress. It is isolated, and the drive from the airport is about an hour and 15 minutes, which is something to consider. However, we were very happy to be met by the resort's driver, and William, who took us on a short visit to the town for local coffee and noodles, which were great! The resort itself is still relatively new, and the staff's knowledge of English was limited, but their attentiveness, service, and friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcome. The facilities are wonderful, with private (one bed) Villas with lovely open floor plan, private plunge pool surrounded by views of forest and natural sounds. The beach is white sand and you can literally be the only people on it, which is amazing for Indonesia, but there are lots of little jellyfish in the ocean, so be careful. The food was wonderful, and the chef quickly took in our pescetarian dietary preference and began to create delicious offerings for us with fresh seafood and veggies (some grown on the premises). It is pricey, but is a wonderful luxury getaway spot.Misool Eco Resort: "Best Diving Ever….. Misool exceeded my high expectations"
"I visited Misool in February 2016 for an 11 night stay. Usually after a long stay on a small island I am ready to leave, but with Misool I would have happily stayed another 2 weeks. everything about the resort was perfect. I would call it rustic luxury. We stayed with friends in the only 2 bedroom water villa. The very extensive outside decking over the water offered a lot of space and I think we enjoyed it more than having 2 separate villas side by side. The position meant that we got lots of shade all day, if you want to sunbathe on the villa decking you would be better in one near the dive centre. The diving was simply exquisite and very well managed. Lot of sharks and Mantas.. and smaller critters too. Our dive guide Marfel was superb. When i go back I will definitely ask to dive with him again. Because of the remoteness of the island you have to expect that the food and drink choices may be limited if you are expecting a long a la carte menu (although the quality was always excellent) and the electricity supply was a little erratic and blew a couple of our Mac and iPad chargers. which was frustrating and expensive. We paid for a meet and greet service at Jakarta airport which tuned up almost 45 minted late, left us waiting outside in the rain and humidity, and then spent 5 minutes with us doing very little, so overall a waste of money. These small niggles in no way detracted from what was a truly outstanding experience and I cannot wait to go back."Tugu Malang: "Visit Malang-Banyuwangi between 2 venues"
"Hotel is well located at a big roundabout with a monument in the center. The rooms are very nice decorated, with a nice flower arrangement and fruit platter. The amenities are environment friendly packed by recycled paper. The staff are very friendly from the receptionist till the room attendants. Breakfast is also well served from fresh fruit till home made bread, jam and Indonesian food. On top of all, they serve everyday during teatime complimentary goodies and tea/coffee. They have also a huge collection of antiques that you can walk through or guided tour is also available on request. Will definitely come back to this hotel when visit Malang again"Manda De Laos: "Make a reservation!"
Rarely will I opt for a set menu, but here it was so worth it. So nice to try all the different offerings. Service was wonderful and wine selection was good. Romantic setting but also appropriate for friends who just want to have a nice relaxed setting.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Excellent experience"
"This place make me forget I am in Yangon. Like Switzerland or some place in Europe except the temperature on the day. Starting from amuse, allure us and dishes we have also excellent. If there are at least one closed room it is best for business too. I have to report that they made best effort to make separate table and works perfect for the occasion of that day for us. I am sure I will come back again and again. Within less than one month I went three times already this tells how good they are."Tugu Bali: "Truly immersive Balinese gem"
Tugu is surely among the most incredible, moody hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel and rooms are designed with a unique blend ethnic & traditional luxury from another era. We stayed at the Rajang suite with a sea view. The Room featured an enormous elevated bed that made us feel like part of the local royalty. We absolutely loved the food and taking our breakfasts in the covered daybed in the garden facing the waves and surfers going on their favorite activity. Perfect place for a romantic holiday. We will definitely go back.Villa Mathis: "second séjour, toujours le paradis"
Pretty well decorated room, a beautiful card to the restaurant, attentive staff, good places to stroll or go on trips, a little away has Seminiak which is rather more since the place is very Zen with shuttle to downtown. Also thank you to the new manager and his wife for their hospitality and kindness. we will returnMesaStila: "Java at its best"
"MesaStila is one of those places that blows you away. So many things about our trip far exceeded our expectations. The food was awesome. The rooms are beautiful. A highlight was the Easter Egg painting hunt that the staff ran for our two little boys. Yokyo (maybe not correct spelling) was sweet and made sure our little ones felt special. Thank you. We hope to be back. "Les Maisons d’Itac: "Best place we stayed in the Philippines"
"Me and my gf spent 4 nights at Les Maisons d'Itac. We were supposed to stay for 3, we loved the place so much we decided to stay 1 more night (we couldn't stay longer as the Mayson Ulisse was not available anymore, so we kept our travel plan on). What can we say? Bryan (who spoke italian, we're italians and we have very charming and nice conversations during our stay) has been the perfect host. Always ready to help, charmful and totally welcoming. We booked our trasfers to Bantayan and back to Cebu through him and it was just perfect! The food at the maisons is great, the location awsome. They have an amazing spot for snorkelling just in front of the resort that you can reach in a few mins swimming. What makes this place special (apart from the view, the nature around, the sea) is the SILENCE. In almost a month in the Philippines we never found such a relaxing spot, where you can fall asleep at night hearing at the waves sounds. A true dream come true. If you're looking for a place to stay around Moalboal (it can be reached in 25 minutes scooter ride from the resort, you can rent just asking Bryan) DO NOT HESITATE to book a stay at the Maisons. p.s: say hi to Itac and Stacey for us :) Ciao! Andrea & Marta Room Tip: Maison Ulysse is a must-to-try!"Villa Song: "Trusty amazing"
"Exceptional experience at Villa Song Saigon. Wonderful staff, amazing location by Saigon River and great restaurant. The Suite was nothing to compare. Highly recommendable and will come back. Thank you Vill Song Saigon."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
